It feels good to be back on my bike after a 2 year hiatus. Thank you for the great service and good-​natured staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone in need of bike repair.

Great local bike shop in the heart of Bellport, NY. Chris and his staff were amazing and really helpful in answering all of mine and my wife’s questions. Got a great deal on a new bike (two actually) and the service work performed on my old bike was top notch.
Will definitely continue to shop here for all my cycling needs.

I’ve bought and had bikes serviced here for my wife and I for our three children who are now grown and gone for over a 20 year period. I’ve never had anything but a wonderful experience. We all love this shop and the people who work in it. This is a I great local resource.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, but selection is severely lacking.
Hey guys, it’s not 1995 anymore, let’s ditch the Specialized and give customers some options! Their tire selection was thin, then their tubes are provided by Specialized, who thinks that a pinky sized tube works well for 28 mm (what’s the point if the tube is so tiny!?). The bartape selection was equally lacking. There was limited stock of the great Cinelli cork but a plethora of lackluster Specialized stuff (I’ve never heard anyone rave about Specialized tape, but Cinelli is king).
This shop seems to focus on high end, spend without thinking customers, which I am not. I do my research and most of the good affordable stuff is not found in this shop. Hopefully they’ll get with the times and provide some more options soon!

COOLING MY HEELS. Went in for a simple brake repair. Walked out 15 minutes [SEE BELOW] later with the same worn brakes after the owner, busy selling a high-​end bike to a richer customer, kept chatting away about this and that and the weather without asking me to wait, thanking me for my patience or acknowledging my existence on our shared planet. I’ve experienced better service at the Post Office.
[1/​12/​14] RESPONDING TO CHRIS J: Well, I can’t remember the time or the day, so I can’t argue with your computer record. I could have been wrong about how long I waited — it FELT like 15 minutes. And perhaps I misunderstood what was going on between you and the other customer.
But however inadvertently, you upset THIS customer enough to post a critical review on Unilocal — something I’ve never done before.
I should add that I’ve been back to Kreb Cycle several times since and been quite satisfied with the service. Sounds like we were both having a bad day.

Not sure about David M. Experience, but I had a brand they do not carry tuned and didn’t experience anything like that. They did a superb job (all that really counts, right?) and found them rather complimentary abut my Colnago. They even offered to build me a second one I was hoping to purchase, if I purchased the frame elsewhere. Ultimately they gave me a couldn’t be beat price on an S-​Works Tarmac and I went with that and have been extremely happy. Every purchase I have made there, including hand made Italian wheelsj, has included a superb experience. I’ve searched high and low for a trace of arrogance, but totally escapes me. They are friendly, cooperative, helpful, and KNOWLEGEABLE! I live 10 miles or so away, but consider them my LBS.

Knowledgable But Arrogant! Went to this shop to repair my bike, although they did a good job and repaired it quickly. When I asked the owner if this was a good bike he simply told me this bike was junk and not worth anything! This was disappointing because I spend nearly $ 1000 of my hard earned money on the bike, and for someone to dismiss it as junk because it was not a top of the line specialized from their shop was extremely arrogant!

I’ve never purchased a bike before and I wanted to make sure I got something reliable that will last a long time. My buying researched started with my cousin, who recommended a brand called Specialized and mentioned I had a bike shop right in town that carried the brand.
I’ve been in The Kreb Cycle before, but only to browse — and it was a years ago. At first I was surprised to find out that the mainly carried this one brand, but it was also reassuring knowing that this cycle shop puts so much of their reputation behind Specialized. The staff was friendly and answered any questions I had. They were not pushy at all and, even though it was past their closing time, I didn’t feel rushed.
I came back two days later to buy a bike and another employee showed me a few options in my price range. They had the latest model I was looking at online as well as another one that two years old that was on sale. I was allowed to test-​ride the bikes around the block a few times and eventually came to a decision. I went for the older model. They cleaned up the bike, polished it, gave it a once-​over for safety and explained a few other odds and ends.
The Kreb Cycle is a great shop with a knowledgeable staff — I’ll definitely be back here again!
