What good can’t I preach about Flo’s Luncheonette? I came here yesterday evening for a little dinner with my girlfriend and her friend. The two of them had been here before, but this was my first experience(though I had it bookmarked in Unilocal for quite some time). Upon arrival, Flo’s doesn’t look like anything too special on the exterior(there are some cute tables with umbrellas outside which give it some character), but what it mildly lacks in décor it significantly makes up for in food. Well, the inside has a little charm by displaying a lovely bar with great beers on tap(two for one on Sunday’s) and piping in music that ranges all over the decades and gives you a feeling of retro nostalgia. But enough about looks, let’s talk about the grub. I dined on the Texan burger(jalapeños, Cajun sauce, and an onion ring all sandwiched between two fluffy pieces of Texas toast) and a side of sweet potato fries(with sweet mayo). The burger was large and juicy with a freshly made taste, while all of the toppings complimented each other and made for a wonderful burger experience. The fries were also delicious and well-cooked. My girlfriend had the BBQ chicken wrap which was also fresh and something I almost wanted for myself. Did I mention she got a vanilla peanut butter shake that was rich, creamy and perfect? Oh, well now I did. Overall the inner atmosphere and most importantly the food makes this a location I plan on returning to(they have a whole section of seafood that I’ll have to try next time) again(and probably again!).

The service was terrible, it took 50 minutes to get food to our table. When we complained, they said the kitchen was swamped. The food was OK, nothing spectacular. Some of the sides were not correct.

Came here for lunch on a rainy Friday around 2pm, very pleased. LOCATION: Looks like its part of the Briarcliff college campus, down the street from Main St patchogue. DECOR: It’s cute inside, simple but cozy. Kind of has a diner feel to it. FOOD: Menu was very large, everything sounded so good. Ordered the Baked Clams, Western Burger and BBQ Chicken Sandwich. All were very good. The Baked Clams app was delicious. Good amount of clams and I liked how there was a lot of clam bits in the breading. The Western burger was on thick texas toast, topped with jalapenos, an onion ring and a spicy mayo. Burger didn’t come with fries, which I was surprised about. The BBQ Chicken Sandwich was my favorite of the 3, chopped bbq grilled chicken came on a ciabatta roll with lettuce, avocado, sweet red onions and mayo. This came with fries. SERVICE: Staff was friendly and quick with our food. Overall this place is very cute. The menu was huge and the prices were average. Food that I ordered was very tasty and I will definitely be returning.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice quiet spot to have lunch. This place was absolutely perfect. There was lots of light coming through the windows and it was very clean. The servers were very kind and checked on us here and there. Our lunch was delicious. My boyfriend had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich. The grilled chicken was so tasty, we just added a bit of mayo bc it was a little dry but still very good! I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Wrap which was perfection. It had the perfect amount of both chicken and bacon. My little girl had Flo’s famous hot dog… She ate the whole thing!(She hardly ever finishes a meal lol) Great place! We will be going back!

I’ve eaten here on more than one occasion. I really like the atmosphere and the building is really clean with plenty of room for a large group to go out and get drinks and some food. One of my favorite places truly to go in Patchogue for some grub. The only downside is how you have to place your order at the register and although the food is great it’s a little pricey. Otherwise if you can get over those minor hiccups, this is the place for you.

First time here with a group of four and will certainly be back. The food was all tasty and priced well. Ran out of sangria and left it on the board, plus it was lacking some heat on a cold day, which is the reason for the four stars. For cleanliness and friendliness, place earns a 5-star rating. You have to order when ready up front, but I love that for the fact that I don’t have to wait on the staff or get his/her attention. The hotdog with cheese sauce was great, love that is comes with a pickle too(simple things I know). The shrimp wrap, sliders and veggie burger was all cooked well. Has a bar with two TV’s and ample parking. We’ll be back, so keep up the good work everyone !

This is a good option for winter when the Bluepoint location is closed. Two for one beers on Sunday and Monday! As a vegetarian there aren’t many options but the fries are some of the best I’ve ever had!

This was my first time at Flo’s and I was surprised! It was nothing like I could have imagined. First off you walk in and get greeted by wonderful staff that tell you to sit where you like. That’s great because sometimes other places seat you and you really don’t like where they put you. This place was amazingly busy so unfortunately we took what was available. Then you don’t have a waitress or waiter you walk up to a counter and place your order, after they give you a ticket number so the staff knows where to bring your meal. Lunch starts at 12pm on Sunday’s so we had to wait a little to order. But we got cheese fries for the table that we perfect while we waited. They have very helpful and friendly staff that always asked if you need anything, but they never interrupted while you ate, so you don’t have that rushed feeling that some waitresses give when they want your table for someone else. The only negative before I talk about the food is that the dining area is too small. It’s hard to have a conversation when your sitting next to people complaining about custody over there kids. But that’s my only issue. The food was definitely not a issue! It came out hot and fresh. I always judge a place on how good there burgers are and Flo’s delivered. They are thick juicy 8oz. Burgers with the right amount of toppings. The sweet potato fries are great and so was the cinnamon sauce that came with it. They have a great selection of drinks, but no Mountain Dew(just saying) to add to there credit. The next time I stop in I’m definitely getting breakfast! The omelette’s looked delicious! They serve large portions at a fare price. In all I love the place and will visit again soon. Hope you enjoy!

I love flos and I love the expanded menu at patchogue. What I hate is their shitty attitude and punk kids offering crap service. They have the worst, blackish-gray charred burgers I have ever tried(inedible no matter how many cool toppings you throw on top) you can go to any place in town for a far better burger, be it TapRoom, Reese’s!, pera bell, or even country kitchen has better burgers. Just don’t go to the brick house. Their prices at flos are a joke too. They charge 14 bux for their lobster roll and it’s served on a hotdog roll, yes it’s big chunks of claw meat, but there is little to no other flavor along with the bland lobster itself you might as well hit the Oar or pera bell nearby for that price. The fried scallops are bangin’ Connor bomber is dope too(add bacon) Shrimp cocktail and clams in the half shell are good, but overpriced(the big yummy draw there is their allegedly homemade cocktail sauce) again the Oar beats them there as well. If I’m going to patchogue for clams I’m going to the Oar instead, fresh horseradish and better clams without sand. If I’m going for shrimp, I’m hitting Reese’s for their badass fried shrimp and skipping flos. Haven’t been for breakfast as the one time I tried, the website says they stop it at noon on the weekends, but if you get there at 11:25 they’ll turn you away and the other time was when they first started serving it and they had sort of run out of everything. It’s a shame that the punk kids are the face of the business because the place would easily be a favorite if it weren’t for them. The owner is a good dude and I go to both locations often with a lot of buddies to support them, but I hate myself when it’s a bad experience and I’m still forking over my money. The good times outweigh the bad but the prices on a few items sink this subpar-serviced joint at least a star less for me. Guess it’s a generational thing.

It’s not the worst place I have ever been too. I was told to stop by from NYCJC. Its the usual«Wednesday hangout» The food really is not terrible, I ordered ‘The Great South Gray’ it’s basically Chicken fingers, Cheddar or American…(honestly couldn’t tell which I had) cheese, bacon and southwest sauce on a wrap, with a side of fries. I honestly can’t say it was that memorable. It seemed awfully dry, even with the southwest sauce. The service aspect was O. K… I have a problem with staff using personal phones when there are customers waiting. I believe I went on an off day or something. I feel as if the other Unilocalers had a better experience then me. I’ll have to come back and give it another whirl. Maybe the second time around will be better.

4th time around here. Always a nice meal no matter what I order. Usually a wrap or a burger, their specialties. This time it was Mitch’s Hurricane Wrap, Cajun shrimp, onions, lettuce, etc. The wrap was well made, with all fresh ingedients, however it could use a few more shrimp. It is a shrimp wrap after all, not a lettuce and onion wrap. The«heat» was provided by a generous dousing with what seems to be sriracha sauce. I would prefer the spice to be applied to the shrimps instead of squirted over the contents post prep. The waffle fries were great as usual and my tea with lemonade was sweet and refreshing. My fiancé had the veggie wrap which seemed to be basically a veggie burger smushed into the wrap with the usual lettuce and assorted veg-filling. She would have preferred a little more flavor from the filling, in fact she ended up asking for ranch dressing on the side. I’m sure we’ll be back, just not for these 2 items! Subtracting 1 star for the above reasons.

The food was great and my jalapeños were hot. The seasonal beer was pumpkin blue point which was topped with pumpkin spice. The service was ok and I feel like they have too many ppl for such little do it yourself service. Other than that try the lobster roll, the lobster is super fresh.

Second time at a Flo’s in two days, this time for brunch. We had a relatively large group of people, but the wait staff was accommodating enough to help us fenangle a place to seat all of us(outside!). We sat 9 at a picnic table and proceeded to order our food. I got the hungry man breakfast sandwich which had a little of everything you could want at breakfast. Some breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage eggs and cheese on ciabatta. This was plenty to actually keep me relatively filled for my drive back to Philly until dinner later that evening. My girlfriend got the French toast bites which were tossed with cinnamon sugar and with drizzled nutella over top. While we both loved this dish, we agreed that it would be best split between multiple people and not a primary breakfast option. There is PLENTY of parking at this location as well as indoor and outdoor seating. The food options are almost too many(not complaining), so we will definitely be going back to see what else the menu has to offer.

Decided to try out Flo’s on a whim for lunch. Hadn’t really heard much about it but have always noticed it driving into Patchogue. I guess we should of looked up the meaning of luncheonette because there was no hostess to sit us and then when we got a table ourselves no one ever came over to give us menus or explain how this place worked until we we saw after 15 minutes the group who came in after we arrived rush to the counter and started ordering. We got our number and waited for our food. Wait wasn’t so long. I ordered the Cobb Salad Chicken Sandwich and my husband ordered a burger. The very little chicken that my sandwich actually had in it was dry and tasted old. The hard boiled egg as well on the sandwich wasn’t cooked all the way through and had a weird texture. I felt like I was eating an avocado sandwich. My husband hates onions and asked for no onions on his burger but they failed to mention they have large pieces of white onion right inside the burger meat so needless to say he was not happy. The onions he said weren’t even soft they were still kinda raw and just terrible it killed it for him all together. The best part of our meal was the basic cheese sauce they gave us with the waffle fries I got. But really how can one measure quality by cheese sauce in a plastic cup? Not certain I would come back here.

First visit turned me into a huge Flo’s fan. I was impressed with everything about Flo’s. Adequate parking. Easy access. Clean inside and out. Loved the décor and ambiance. Staff were extremely courteous. Menu has something for everyone. Food is simple, unpretentious. It’s prepared to order with fresh ingredients. Tasty, old school. Generous portions. Definitely priced well — you get more than what you pay for, and you leave satisfied. I have never wished a small mom and pop dining establishment to open multiple locations, but I want Flo’s to expand. I’m thinking the North Shore. If Flo’s cotinues doing what they are doing, I’ll be lifelong fan and patron.

Honestly, just a great place! First time I went I was so pleasantly surprised and since then I’ve been back many times and always enjoy it! Breakfast is my fav and the American Scramble is my go most of the time. The food is made fresh to order every time, hot and delish. I also love that they have a bar and serve tap beer, along with wine and healthy smoothies! You can get all the best from here. The prices are so reasonable, I think extremely cheap actually, def for what you get here. Also the staff is very friendly and polite. Nothing but good things to say about this place all around!

Customer service is beyond exceptional! Find your seat, grab a menu, and plan your grub. Walk up to the counter and order your food. Sit back and wait for your order to come out fresh and hot! I ordered the 1926 Burger, changed out the brown sugar slaw for regular lettuce, but the burger was to die for! Awesome touch with maple bacon! Ahi salad was also another fine dish, healthy and a touch of seafood. Everything is made to order so the wait is apparent, it really is not that long. Will continue to come back here over and over again!

The easiest brunch place in the Patchogue area that serves mimosas before 11 am! Reasonably priced and exceptionally friendly makes it a great spot for breakfast. We came here on a Saturday around 10 am. Seats are first come, first serve, no reservations. Pick out what ever you want and order at the cashier area. The waiters/waitresses bring your food out in a flash. I had the California Benedict(eggs Benedict with bacon and avocado) which was pretty standard. I wish I had ordered the waffle sandwich that my friend ordered. I contemplated ordering it as well since it’s pretty light(2 quarters of a waffle make the sandwich with eggs, bacon etc in between). The spinach mushroom omelet was also a solid choice. The staff is young, friendly and pretty attentive even when busy. The coffee was kinda thin though I’m told from my coffee drinking friends. We happened to be there when Santa was visiting so we also went home with personalized Flo’s Santa hats! Overall, a charming, low key place. I’m sure we will be back soon.
