Cat Island Coffeehouse had got to be the best little bookstore/coffeeshop on the coast– not to mention a great place for photos. Try the honey latte or the iced coffee, and bring your pup for a sit on the porch looking out on the water.

It’s an adorably small coffeehouse /bookshop in an amazing location with incredible gulf views. The teas and coffee are respectable but the breakfast fare is bland and obviously frozen, defrosted and reheated. The book selection is great, especially the childrens books. Well worth checking out if you’re even close to the area. Oh, and the WiFi is solid too.

This is my second time visiting Cat Island Coffeehouse, and this shop is certainly at the top of my list! I live in San Diego where a Starbucks is on every corner but the local coffee shops steal the show. This place would fit in beautifully. The coffee is incredible(today I had the Ethiopia Harrar) and the place has such character, filled with books for every liking. The staff are superbly attentive, and while I didn’t try the food today, it had the wonderful aroma of bacon, the quiche looked unbelievably appetizing, and I must come back to try that lovely looking strawberry cake in case. Thank you for creating a writing haven away from home. I’ll certainly be back during my vacation week in Pass Christian!

Beautiful beach views and equally nice is the attention to detail in their coffee and tea brewing. Great little gem.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this place. The walls are filled with books and art for sale. The menu was small with a handful of specialty drinks. I ended up getting the iced coffee with brown sugar and it was one of the best iced coffees I’ve ever had, which is strange coming from a Californian. The baristas were young men dressed in shirts and ties which gave the place a classy feel. There’s an upstairs section which apparently has a book curator on weekdays so that’s pretty cool. My favorite part is the porch which has a great view of the Gulf Coast beach. This place overall has a great vibe and great drinks! ****Edit**** We decided to come back later in the day to grab some tea and root beer. They had a wide variety of teas and I decided to go with the green tea pomegranate with lemon. The tea was really light and refreshing. My friends root beer was really sweet but overall 4⁄5 when it comes to root beers. My friend has been getting into espresso art so he asked the barista on some tips. She spent 5 minutes teaching him some tips. They didn’t have to do that. They are really genuine prople and take their craft seriously and with a lot of passion. Ps the WiFi isn’t that good and if you are going up stairs there’s a lack of outlets. Bring an extension cord if you need power.

One of the better views on the coast. They have different roasts you can choose from for a fresh brewed cup of coffee. Espresso based drinks are watered down, they have a small selection of pastries, and blind pricing as well as no Square Rewards. I would not call this a coffee house as it is situated in bookstore and comes across as a pretentious.

I can only agree with the previous excellent reviews. This is a terribly cute little(yes, quite small) coffee shop only inches away from the beach. The upstairs sitting/reading area offers an excellent view of the water and a huge selection of books by Mississippi authors. The building is full of pleasant natural light. It is quite small so I don’t imagine it would be good for plopping down and getting a lot of work done, but it is excellent for passing through while you enjoy a little day out in Pass Christian. The service is impeccable and the coffee is delicious as well!
