I love the wines and the labels are so original. It is one of my favorite stops to hit every year.

We went because I heard the wine was good. Tastings are $ 10 a person but you get to keep the glass. I did buy a bottle of wine which was around $ 25 but they don’t waive the tasting fee which many other winery’s do when you buy their wine. One person in our group also bough a shirt so we did spend some money. I probably won’t go back unless I had company that really wanted to go.

I love Chronic Cellars! I’ve been drinking the wine for 4ish years now, and after randomly driving by and seeing the sign and décor, I couldn’t wait to stop in! My boyfriend and I love the environment. Huge amazing art hung on the walls, all very skeleton/devil/dark themed(loooooove it). It was very mellow, and there were a couple pups hanging out inside. The outside is adorable(currently being renovated) but includes a lovely flowery garden with corn hole and lots of room to frolic. It is such a gorgeous area, and just enough off the beaten path while still right next to the main street to Lake Nacimiento. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a tasting(only $ 10!). I’d had Sofa King and Dead Nuts in the past, but the rest were new to me! The tasting was accompanied by just the right amount of chatting and background info about the wines. We decided that we each wanted a full glass following the tasting, Sofa King for him and Unteachables for me. After grabbing our wonderfully full glasses, we headed outside to enjoy the sunshine. Almost immediately, my boyfriend makes a spazzy movement of his arm, and knocks over my unsipped full to the brim, delicious glass of Unteachables. I sat there in silence for a minute looking sadly at the once tasty wine, which was now staining my legs purple. This weekend had already been pricey, including a drive up the coast, hotel stay, concerts, food, expenses etc, so the last thing I wanted to do was shell out more money when I didn’t even get to enjoy my wine! After a few mins, I walked back inside and sadly mentioned my boyfriend’s spazzy behavior, and they were so nice! They gave me a new glass of Unteachables!!! As well as being concerned about my potentially stained clothes(they weren’t luckily). Something as simple as that really saved the afternoon from turning me into a grump! We were able to enjoy our amazing wine without a worry(and I kept a very tight grip on my glass!) I wish I lived closer because the staff, wine, and location are amazing! I am very appreciative of how helpful, understanding and kind the Chronic Cellars staff was this weekend!

I always have a great time at Chronic Cellars. I have been to Chronic twice now and enjoyed the experience so much that I am now a wine club member.

friendly staff, cool, laid back vibe. amazing original artwork(they have huge posters of their totally cool bottle labels up all over the place, along with other really neat artwork as well as the original photographs that presumably inspired some of the bottle artwork). oh, the wine is also pretty decent! my favorite is probably the unteachables.

Have always loved Chronic Cellars. Have been going there for years and NEVER had a bad experience. Loved the wine. Loved the people. We are industry and always buy wine. Today was an awful experience. Obviously Trisha was having a bad day or doesn’t like industry people coming in or doesn’t like middle aged people. Who know’s what her problem was. We were there 45 minutes before closing and were out of there by closing. No reason we should have been given the cold shoulder that we got. We bought minimal and will re-consider going back. i

This was my first and last time I am going to this winery. Shame because the wine was good. I visited Chronic recently and was completely disgusted by one of their employees(whom I then discovered on their website that it was the assistant manager, real classy). As I entered I noticed that one of the employees was visibly intoxicated and slurring her words behind the bar. She introduced herself as Tish or Trish and had shorter hair. After being there for 10 minutes I then witnessed her leaning over the bar and kissing/making out with a female customer. My disgust must have been apparent since I set my glass down and left immediately. If this is acceptable employee behavior, then I will not be coming back and I will be spreading the word of the unprofessional and disgusting behavior demonstrated by MANAGEMENT! Shame on all of you.

If you’re looking for a brand you won’t soon forget, then check out Chronic Cellars. This tasting room has a very homey feel. The building itself takes on a cottage look appealing to both young and old. There is a pool table corn hole set for kids which seems to provide a family conducive environment. The wines all revolve around a chronic theme; skeletons smile at you from the labels as you enjoy your tasting. The flagship wine is known as Sofaking Bueno… Well played Chronic. The wine is representative of Paso’s west side, and was at one time run by the second generation of Peachy Canyon. I will be interested to see how this operation changes with new ownership. Tasting room personality was extremely outgoing and managed us along with a bar full of others. Well worth the stop.

Yes yes yes! Absolutely love this place! Out of this world funky, fun, different, and just a plain blast! Oh and guess what, the wine ranges from $ 15 – 40 and oh my word, it rocks! I’ve NEVER had a better $ 15 bottle of wine! Our absolutely delightful wine associate was Raleigh, she was phenomenal! I ended up joining the wine club, picking up a case of great wine, and helping my friends pick out their cases as well! I highly recommend this place, a must stop! Drink up!

We don’t come here enough considering we live so close by. I have been to Chronic Cellars for tasting for birthday and bachelorette parties. It’s always been a great time! They have a couple of patio tables outside and corn hole. I’m not sure if they ever have live music or events but we would LOVE to visit during the summer, listen to some live music, and sip on some of their amazing wines. Fun place!

Favorite wines to date and we haven’t even been into their winery yet ! We found their bottles at one of the high end liquor store in tehachapi CA and got hooked Ive had two of their bottles and became a member. We signed up I was notified via email and each interaction was lovely might i add(i believe angela emailed me) And the wine came like 4 days later it was freaking perfect. Now the only problem trying to make it last 6 months not gonna happen lol can. But with their pricing we can be wine of the month club members lol !

Great everyday wines that don’t break the bank. They name their wines and make their labels with a sense of humor. The label features colorful, skeleton inspired art that matches the theme of the tasting room. The tasting room staff was friendly. My husband and I split a case with our friends. We loved the names of the wines«Dead Nuts» and«Sofa King» and needed to bring some home. Also the port was delicious. Fun stop!

This place was great! I suggest going in the morning because it’s not as crowded. The«sofa king Bueno» was a favorite in our group. And Matt our pourer was fantastic, if you’re doing a wine tour I suggest you put this place on your list. It has its own unique vibe, it’s very fun and outside sitting area is very cute for pictures.

An enthusiastic 3 stars for Chronic Cellars! This place is so unique. I mean just look at the bottles they’re awesome! Bold, colorful and completely unpretentious lol everything that their actual winery is. It’s been awhile since we were here. We didn’t make it up this past wkend bc we only spent half a day in Paso Robles but this was definitely one of the more memorable wineries that I have been to. I remember we went on a Sunday an hour before closing and it was paaaaaaaaaacked! Definitely a hot spot party winery in Paso. Super loud full of very happy people lol. We had to wait awhile to get up to the bar to taste and our bartender was super busy helping a lot of people but in between he took a lot of time to talk to us and explain what was going on with the wines too. Like you could tell he loved talking about wine lol which is awesome because I love learning about it. Comparing the taste of these wines to the others that we had in Paso, it’s a-ok. But being that it was one of the more reasonably priced wineries that we went to that trip, we did go home with a bottle. Of everything that we tried if I’m not mistaken, what we went home with was the Purple Haze. I think I also picked up some stickers just because the Dia de Los muertos art on everything is just so bad ass. I think this is the perfect winery to end your day. It’s a spot where you can drink around ppl who are super friendly. They have games outside if you can stand the heat lol just a really cool laid back bar vibe winery

I have belonged to their wine club for about 4 years now and am a huge fan of their reds. I’ve even been able to convert sweet white wine lovers into fans of reds by having them try Sofa King, Dead Nuts and El Perfecto. Hands down the best wines I have had and thankful they are supplying some of their wines to local spots in San Diego. Had a great time at the winery when we went and am looking forward to coming back during one of their events, preferably Halloween.

Great wines, fair prices, fun and youthful atmosphere. There’s an area to play games outside, a large pool table, booths, apparel, and cool skeleton art. I always recommend this place to my 20-something winos. Purple paradise is THE wine I tell all my friends about. It’s one of my favorites. If a friend tells me they aren’t into reds I make sure they try that. The wine club is really fun and it includes free tastings whenever you visit. The shipments are twice a year but if you’re in the area there’s a kick off party that always looks really fun on Instagram. I wish I joined the club before I moved away from SLO. Random bonus: there’s a winery right across the street so you can knock off two from your list(this one is more fun though).

So my husband is a huge fan of their wine so while in Paso Robles we stopped there. The wine is fantastic. We did a sampling which included a glass and ended up purchasing 8 bottles. we might as well have become wine members… maybe next time. They have limited whites and mostly reds and just launched a champagne. The reds are the best. My favorites are Purple Haze, Sofa King Bueno(say that fast to get it) and Dead Nuts. All reds and all have great flavor. The pourer wasn’t that friendly to begin with but once you started talking to her she lightened up. Winery Features: Nice patio area with benches and grass Dog friendly Pool table inside Smaller winery making it more intimate

I Love this winery. Awesome staff, and very cozy tasting room location. It is worth a visit just to have a taste of their Sofia King blend wine, it is one of my very favorite wines. Such a bargain for such a fantastic wine. They have other red blends that are excellent as well, although I am not a huge fan of their Zinfandels, but that is just personal preference.
