The wines here weren’t my absolute favorite of the day, but the pourer was very sweet & it made for a lovely experience. They do a cheese pairing with the wines, which is really cool.

This is SUCH a hidden gem. The location is not ideal, however, it is WELL worth the drive to get there. This place has the best Zinfandel. It was incredible– big, bold, jammy zinfandel. I highly recommend tasting at this winery. I am a local and any time I have guests from out of the area– I take them here.

This winery was recommended to us by Randy from one of the nearby wineries, especially after I told him that I was a fan of big, bold Zins. Beautiful tasting room. Our pourers were very attentive and informative. Generous pours. I typically do not like white wine. Their Chardonnay was an exception to this rule. Smooth, with hints of pear and apple. Delicious. Silk was just that. Smooth and delicious. The Estate Zinfindel was everything it was made out to be. Big, bold and fruit forward. The Cab was was smooth, and not overly tanniny. Very drinkable. The estate Syrah, was even better. Smooth, with big fruit. So, so good. We then went off of the menu and tried a 2011 Paso Cab. Even better. Smooth, with balanced tannins. Drinkable now, but will probably be better in a few years We bought a bottle of the Estate Zinfindel and the Paso Cabernet Sauvignon. Almost joined the wine club, but I need to drop 1 of of 3 wine clubs first. The wines are pricey($ 29-$ 42) range, but definitely worth it for those special occasions.

No matter what, I almost never write a review, however this time I must let other wine lovers visiting Paso Robles know about BROCHELLEVINEYARDS’s great wines. It was recommended to us by Randy at another winery. This was the fourth winery for the day(and last). I had read up on a number of wineries we planned to visit and added Brochelle to the list after Randy’s tip. Stayed in a hotel not far from there so it was perfect to stop there last. The wines were outstanding. Tasted four reds on the tasting menu. Estate Zinfandel, Paso Robles Syrah, SILK and Luxe Cuvee. Could not decide which of them to buy so we bought all four. The wines were slightly on the pricey side, but what the heck! The next day we returned and bought one more Estate Zinfandel. The wines are full-bodied and rich.(Not good at describing wine). Once you have tasted their wines(Brochelle) you are hooked. The only(one only) drawback was the lack of welcome when we stepped in to the tasting room, which was empty. It was not near closing, around 3:30PM and we stayed there for 30 minutes and it never changed(the cool reception). Complete lack of interaction with us. No information about the winery. Who and how it was started,(didn’t think of asking myself). No description or info. about the different wines. She just stood back and waited. Perhaps it was me but I felt like she had something more important and interesting to do and couldn’t wait for us to leave. We had been to three other wineries the same day, Oct. 2nd2014 and I can’t tell you enough about how welcome we were made to feel and how much info. we were given. Also one other note worth mentioning is the feeling of generosity at the 3 other wineries. They poured wines not on the tasting list as well as not charging for certain things(cheese & crackers). We purchased wine at the three other tasting rooms also, Opolo, Turley and J. Dusi. On the way back home the next day we realized that we could have received a discount for 6 bottles(at Brochelle). We bought five and would had bought more if we knew about the discount. Still, I warmly recommend this winery and the wine is worth 5 stars. There is a possibility we are going back to Paso Robles soon and we will go back to Brochelle for sure.

Wines are decent but young lady behind the counter was not. She made us feel very uncomfortable. It was clear it was close to closing time(10 minutes left) and she would not pour anymore tastings. Will not be back.

I first tasted their Zin about 2 years ago when I purchased a bottle from Central Coast Wine in SLO. I held onto to that bottle for a couple of months before opening it and I was floored by the full body of the wine. I searched all over Northern Cal for another bottle, but could not find any! We finally made it back to Paso Robles recently and stopped by their tasting room. Their room is in a pretty modest industrial looking area where you wouldn’t expect a tasting room to be. However, once we found it and walked inside, it had a warmth and welcoming feeling. The décor is simple and beautiful, and their custom chandeliers made of wine glasses gave the room a very unique look. My wife and I did the tasting and loved the cheese pairing. The Zin we had was as I remembered it to be and reaffirmed that it’s by far my favorite Zin! We also tasted their Syrah and loved the smooth, full-bodied with a peppery taste. Needless to say, we walked away not only with several bottles, but also a new wine membership. It’s also worth mentioning that Brochelle’s staff is extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. If you like a very good Zin, come to Brochelle!

We’re big fans of Brochelle. From the first time it was recommended to us from one of the local wine shops — it’s remained one of the best Zinfandels we’ve ever tasted. The tasting room is a classy, yet modern affair. It’s a little tough to find(located facing the highway in a small industrial complex) but well worth the effort. They have a small flight of wines available for tastings — each accompanied with a small piece of cheese. It’s too bad that each of these items come with a fee — but that’s about the only complaint that I have about Brochelle. When it comes to wine — theirs are exceptional! Big bright, full bodied juicy zins. Equally full bodied Syrah’s. A beautifully textured Cabernet. And a silky smooth dessert wine that, when accompanied with a piece of dark chocolate, will coat the inside of your mouth with a lovely silky essence. Unfortunately, we no longer live in Southern California and Brochelle is pretty much impossible to find outside of California. Unless of course, you’ve managed to find a couple of places online that sell it — — like we have ;-) Brochelle’s wine’s range in the 30 – 40 dollar range, so unless you’re a big spender, you probably won’t be buying too many at a time. Just do yourself a favor, buy one or two and save them for those big meals with friends. Absolutely guaranteed to impress. Brochelle is wonderful.

Beautiful tasting room on the outskirts of Paso. Make a trip here — you won’t be disappointed! The décor is beautiful. The wines are refined and tasting well now.

I’m a local Paso Roblan born and raised. I’ve visited MANY local wineries in this region and several out of the region. Brochelle by far, is my favorite Zin. I do not know what it is about their Zin but nothing has even come close in comparison. The best part is, it’s affordable, the staff(Shelbi & Dana) are wonderful, always friendly and very easy to talk with. This is a MUST stop, taste and see for yourself place whether a local or an out of towner! Their wine club is awesome too!!!

A client of mine told me about Brochelle’s excellent Zinfandel, so I popped in for a tasting after work one day. Shelbi was very friendly and informative about the wines they had available… which were all fantastic! The tasting room itself is decorated so nicely. It’s easy to relax and enjoy their fine wines in the cozy atmosphere. Last weekend I went wine tasting with some friends, and I persuaded them to stop here first. Dana took great care of us that afternoon. We all really enjoyed the wine & cheese pairing. Most of us ended up buying a bottle or two for home. I’ve even joined their wine club, and I am NOT a person who joins wine clubs! If you want to pick up some outstanding local wine, or are looking for a stop during wine tasting, make sure that you include Brochelle.

My mom and I stopped in here the other day on a whim and I’m so glad we did. Don’t let the industrial exterior fool you — this place is fantastic. The word I keep thinking of to describe the tasting room is «swanky». It’s a cool combination of classic and modern with wine glass chandeliers, a barrel room viewing window and cooshie bar chairs for seating. I was so impressed with their transformation of the space, particularly because it’s on the small side. Unlike most wineries, the message here is «come on in and stay awhile» rather than«gimme yer tasting fee and move along». In fact, there were two women there when we showed up that I’m pretty sure had been there for hours and were still obviously enjoying themselves. Brochelle’s staff is very pleasant, friendly and helpful, which I’m a huge stickler for. There’s nothing worse than someone acting like they are doing you a favor by pouring wine when you’re patronizing their business. As for the wine, I was really happy with it. The rose admittedly wasn’t my favorite, but I loved the Grenache and the Petite Syrah. The Petite wasn’t even on the tasting list due to limited stock, but it’s a favorite varietal of mine and it didn’t disappoint when we got home. If you’re on the East side, skip the gigantic Napa-wannabes and go see Brochelle.

Beautiful new tasting room tucked away on Tuley Rd. next to Barrel 27 and Hug. We tasted and loved their zin at the Paso Wine Centre so we decided to give it a try. We had their vines and bites pairing and really enjoyed all of their wines, especially the 12th Anniversary Cuvee. The wine pourer was also very friendly and helpful.
