Von’s Pharmacy

Customer service here is great. I’ve had issues getting refills (problem stemming from the doctor’s office end) and every single person I’ve spoken to on the phone here has been patient and helpful. Very much appreciated, as it can be stressful dealing with medications.

Von’s Pharmacy is a winner! Having just moved to Pasadena, the search began for all new service providers (such fun). Von’s Pharmacy. I was to find offers the significant value that many claim to have but few deliver. Some of the highlights:
1. Calls are promptly returned and I’ve not waited more than 2 minutes for any pick up. While this may differ depending on time of day, this has been my experience regardless of the time of day.
2. Extraordinary customer service including personnel always courteous, have an eye toward rapid problem resolution and embody significant healthcare expertise.
When calling regarding an antibiotic cream I needed I learned, through conversations with one of the pharmacy techs, that she was an RN and had experience with applying the burn cream I was using. Certainly empathy is preferred but may not be mandatory for this role. In this case I found her exceeding empathetic and sympathetic with my very difficult condition. Such interactions, when providers take the time to participate in them, can create an immediate bond.
3. Proactive customer service. Recently a drug to drug interaction I had spoken to my MD about but not conveyed to the Pharmacist was picked up by an employee. Clearly I would have preferred to get the script immediately, but when the Pharmacy called they explained the delay was the result of their ensuring, with the doctor, that the interaction would not be harmful to me.
4. Prices are in line and perhaps even better than the pharmacy I last worked with.
If you have the chance to use a pharmacy, don’t pass Go and check in with this Von’s!

Really friendly and good service

I have to first say, the people that work here are really friendly. However, can we pick up the pace in filling our prescriptions? My doctor had my prescription entered directly online, so I wouldn’t have to stand in line to place my RX, but I still had to wait 20 minutes when it was sent to them 45 minutes prior? They could not have been that busy because there was really no one in there at around 4pm. I guess if I had some grocery shopping to do to kill time then that would be okay, but I knew that they’ve had my RX for what would now be an hour, knowing this I was hoping to be in and out of there.
I like how they’ve separated the pharmacy from inside the grocery store. So much better this way, more space without shopping carts backing into you.
