Great location. Kinda small inside but cute sitting area outside the café. Went Saturday night before 10pm and there was only 1 barista who was also the cashier for the night. Can’t complaint, she managed to care for everyone. She was friendly & super nice. Definitely going back!

I’ve only come here once and there wasn’t much of a line. Nice, clean and air conditioned for a nice warm day.
The drinks are your standard Coffee Bean fare. I tried a passion fruit sweet tea this time and it was a bit too sweet, but hit the spot.
But what I was impressed by was that the barista made sure to ask what my name was and after I left, he greeted the next customer by his name before that person said anything. Definitely seems like they go the extra mile to make sure you feel like you’re welcome. Will be coming back soon!

This is probably one of the best coffee beans I have ever been to! The employees are so kind and friendly and they always welcome the customers with a smile. When I ask for recommendations on what to order, they never disappoint! I always leave with a smile on my face!
If anyone is looking for a hot drink I would totally recommend the vanilla latte with cinnamon on the top! Amazing! (P.s. Way better than Starbucks!).

Love the manager. I think her name is Katie. Whenever she is on staff, everything runs smooth. I don’t know how she does it and is aware of everything that is happening in that store. Today was extra busy but she greeted us when we came in, was making drinks, aware of a customer who needed assistance with the bathroom door, etc and did it all with excellent customer service. We are here every Friday afternoon and I hope she is too :)

My only complaint is how I have to remind the workers here to give me bagel or letting them know that I’m still waiting on my bagel. It’s EVERYTIME I order one that this happens. I guess because there is usually only 2 working in the front. I get so annoyed when this happens because I have to wait longer than what I really have to.
Other than that, the staff is really nice. It’s a very welcoming place & their coffee is amazing.

Came in today (9.11.15) around 5pm, the two people working seemed bored. The girl that took our order. well. I think she was either new or maybe under the influence? Or both.
Anyway. MY drink was good, my mom’s was not good (too watery)
Well we ran out of here because there was A COCKROACH!!! Yes a cockroach ! So gross!!!

You are coffee shop! I go there for coffee! If you open at 6:30am, why isn’t there coffee ready at 8am. To only have light brewed an hour and a half into your morning means something is not working somewhere.

Been trying Coffee Bean as my alternative to Starbucks for a while. Ow due to multiple gift cards. I find this location to be very chill to relax on a nice day on the patio or just for your morning coffee (tea in my world). The baristas are pretty friendly and the small library that you borrow and even take books is a nice touch.

The addition of the Coffee Bean to Pasadena @Lake was great, this location give you indoor and patio seating with free WiFi as usual. The staff are always happy and fun, they have a great chemistry that ends with a fantastic drink and service. I prefer to sit outside even in cold weather, the patrons walking on Lake are great and very polite; it’s another breed of respect around here that makes this location my first choice. The patio has new seating and it’s very comfortable, this summer is going to be great! Parking is metered so don’t take a chance, its only $ 1. You can also park in the adjacent building or behind the shopping center across the street and walk over. They actually answer their phone, this is great if you’re looking for a specific item and want to avoid the disappointment.

i am officially addicted to the mexican chocolate latte.
i ordered a large this evening, but every time i stop by, i want to order extra large.
it is sweet, delicious, and super flavorful.
i sat by the cute fire stand listening to music, listening to music, and reading my book while drinking my favorite drink.
i absolutely love coffee bean. this location is among my favorite. it was a chilly evening, but hey, i was enjoying myself =)
service is fantastic. big thank you to the super nice cashier lady who helped me out with my order.

****however:parking is shitty — -parking enforced for 30 minutes and these meter people will give tickets when you don’t pay — talk about haters galore — -for this reason, i don’t like this coffee bean location and will never return again******

Don’t usually come to CBTL but there’s nothing to complain about here. The service was quick and efficient. The coffee taste good and the seating area allows you to chill and go on their WiFi. The place is a bit small with only a handful of tables inside but luckily, they have a patio with heaters (BRRR!) so you can enjoy the «outdoors» and not freeze. I got a plain and simple light roast and it’s what I expected. No issues.
There is a wide assortment of coffee drinks and backed goods. Even though this place is a chain, it has a more small business feel that Starbucks.
If you got some time, take a breather here. The ambiance is more relaxed than Starbucks and you get the same quality of drinks/​food/​service.

A great location. Perfect for whatever low key coffee shop activities you have in mind. Easy to find, located on Lake right next to all the shops and stores (Macy’s, Pier1, Trader Joe’s), and free garage parking next door.
Staff here are young but friendly and will generally help in any way they can. One time I saw a customer ask where the nearest mailbox was. The baristas weren’t sure so the manager came out to draw a map for the customer. Thought that was a nice gesture. Plus they usually good music here (classic rock or oldies) so nothing too loud or obnoxious.
I usually get the espresso here or if I don’t want caffeine maybe the chai latte. They have Liberte yogurt which is awfully decadent (esp the blueberry). They have free wifi and outlets. Not a lot of seats in here though, that’s my only complaint, bc if it’s crowded might not be anywhere to sit. But most ppl don’t stay long here anyway.

Got to Macy’s next door at 640am — twenty minutes before they opened. Do I dare sit in the car to fall asleep? Thanksfully this Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf opens at 5:30am.
Grabbed a nice cup of brew and a scone. Thank you for being open at such an ungodly time!

I don’t usually review many chain stores or restaurants. But we had a coupon for Coffee Bean and while we were in Pasadena area, we stopped by and tried out this place. I’m glad we did. It’s quieter and nicer inside then in many chain coffee shops, way calmer, the customer service was really good, very nice people who work here.
We got Blended Ice Mochas and were really good, smooth. They also have a nice, big outdoor area, which we picked to enjoy our coffees. Relaxing place for a chain coffee shop!

They make my drinks here perfect every time! I go in and out of there happy. They open early and have lots of different pastries to choose from! I love their blueberry muffins and their Belgium Waffles with Nutella! yummy!
Free parking is at Borders (RIP :(). Very convenient because most of the parking places in Pasadena requires you to pay or park at the meters.
My go-​to drink here are always the Dark Chocolate Latte or the English Breakfast Tea latte.
Inside seating is limited, but they have lots of tables outside.
Free wifi is a plus! :D
