Salon Yuriy

After posting my last review I was contacted by the salon manager, Acsanna. She said she was not working the day I had the bad experience or she would have spoken to me immediately. She offered to have me come in and have my hair fixed by another stylist but I declined and went to another salon to have my hair redone. After emailing with Acsanna a couple times I told her that I would like a refund for the color service done since I was not happy with it. She said absolutely and told me to call the salon and they would issue the refund. I called the next day and a refund was promptly issued. Acsanna was very nice and even though I had a terrible experience with a colorist who no longer works there, I am pleased they reached out to me to apologize and see what they could do to make me happy.

I got lucky and by chance I found Yuriy Salon on Green Street. I was looking for a good colorist and found Kathryn. Not only is she meticulous and thorough, but very knowledgeable about her craft. The salon has a great vibe and the owner and staff are all very attentive. I would strongly recommend their services.

LOVED my experience here! I had an appointment with Yuriy for a cut and style. The salon is super clean and very nicely done! The people working there are very sweet and professional especially Yuriy! I was there for 2 hours and I absolutely loved the final product! I have a lot of hair and super curly, pretty challenging hair but Yuriy knew exactly what he was doing and made me feel very comfortable! I would definitely recommend this salon to everyone… they know what they are doing!

I love this place! The whole experience from when you walk in to sitting down with your stylist is very friendly and welcoming. They are great with follow-​up if you’re due for another cut and overall just have a great vibe to the place. The stylist are also very professional, make great recommendations for your style and do amazing work!

I returned to JBH two days after my haircut to get full balayage highlights. Kathryn was great, as she consulted me on desired hair color and what I was trying to achieve. She was able to help narrow down the look, as well as confirm the color that I wanted. Due to the length and amount of my hair, the appointment took around 5 hours to complete, including toner and a quick blow dry. Kathryn knew exactly what she was doing and didn’t hesitate to explain her techniques and her extensive knowledge of color. She explained the necessity of each step, and was very assuring throughout the whole process. I absolutely love my highlights! Thank you Kathryn and thank you Myilan for your excellent work!

The best hair cut. Yuri does a great job, he truly knows how to cut hair. He listens and knows if you can manage the hair cut you are asking for. He teaches you how to style it. My hair grows out beautiful after his haircuts.

I’ve been going to Betty for haircuts for years now. My hair use to be extremely long and boring but since I’ve been going to her, my hair is getting shorter with a lot of style. She is such a pro when it comes to hair styling and cutting. Just about all of my friends and family now goes to Betty now.

I had a hairstylist I was going to for 17 years. A few years ago he stopped doing hair and I’ve been in desperate search of a new stylist since. I’ve been to many places in the last few years, from mediocre to high end, and FINALLY my search is over. I’m a spaz when it comes to getting my haircut. I want to sit in a chair and know I’m in good hands. Well my seach is over. The minute I met Nicole I got a great vibe. She asked a few questions about how I normally style my hair and she listened to what I wanted, and did EXACTLY that. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Way to go Nicole!!! The customer service was also great. I highly recommend checking this place out and paying Nicole a visit!

This review is for Kathryn… She is amazing! I wasn’t sure what I wanted but I knew I wanted a change but it couldn’t be too extreme since I work in the hospital. She gave me some peek a boo highlight… I love it!

I have had the same long hair haircut for the last 20 years. After my baby my hair started falling out and I didn’t know what to do with it. I went to Yuri to have him cut it all off and I’m so happy with it. He is very detailed and tells you what will look good for your hair! I drove all the way from OC to see him. Great salon and great service

I had a wonderful experience at the J Beverly Hills Salon! I was well treated and love my new look! Vagram colored my hair, and Yuriy cut and gave me a lovely new haircut. Have been going to salons on the Westside for years, and since moving to the Valley, I’ve been looking for a new place to get my hair done — well, I’ve found it! The salon was very clean, everyone was darling, and I felt very welcome. My haircut is hip, yet not too trendy, and easy to do myself.
I’m a very happy customer!

Sabrina is hands down my go-​to girl. On a regular bases, I constantly get compliments on my hair. She’s real with your from the start, always listens along with advises her professional opinion. We are all guilty of coloring our own hair. Even those times when it’s just «our roots» and we think to ourselves,“There is no way we can messed this up” but some how it happens. I am a personal witness that and Sabrina’s magic hands will fix you up and you won’t have to hide your a hair in a bun. She has changed my hair from blah to boom with her incredible skills and has me as a customer for life. Thanks B for always making my hair look the best!

I cannot say enough great things about this salon.
Due to some horrendous service we encountered at DryBar Pasadena (Even after making an appointment and calls to conform) we were literally left in panic mode.
I searched Unilocal in a panic and came across J Beverly Hills– thank the mother effing heavens for this salon.
Not only were they incredibly accommodating (they took us in 20 mins!) they were so amazing in how nice they were.
They took us in last minute for a surprise proposal hair up do/​blow out for a deaf friend (we wanted her to have a day of pampering disguised as her «early bday») and they even went above and beyond.
1.) they took us in with a smile and last minute (the blonde front desk was an angel, I cannot thank her enough for being our savior for this major event)!
2.) they were so welcoming and so happy to help their customers
3.) placed was soooooo clean!!!
4.) they leant me a charger because my phone was dying (Amazing!!!)
5.) they provided us with drinks and candy and even coffee,!!!
6.) the stylist was so wonderful, she «stalled» our friend while the others were bringing her clothes-​I adore this stylist in how sweet she was! (Beautiful brunette with the beautiful navy maxi skirt and stripped top)
7.) wonderful blow out and undo!
8.) they let us 6 ladies change in their back room& & restroom to get ready
9.) they let us take over a make up station to get our friend ready!
10.) they seriously were so happy for us! They did everything and went above and beyond to make sure her day was spectacular.

Got the worst haircut ever imaginable. Ridiculously bad.
Ran to another salon right after to get it fixed.
you have to be exceptionally poor «hair stylist» to give such a horrible cut. Like she had never done it before

Such a great salon. Definitely worth the money. I got a hair cut and deep conditioning treatment from Vanessa. She was awesome. Very professional and knew exactly what she was doing. Everyone at the salon made me feel comfortable and very relaxed. Will be coming back very soon.

Found this salon walking around the neighborhood and decided it was time for a cut.
I called before walking in to see if I could just walk in or if it was necessary to make an appointment. Upon calling, they took me in right away– no appointment needed :).
I walked in and immediately I was escorted to a room to put on a robe. They then asked if I would like to have tea or coffee. I asked for green tea and it tasted funky, but the camomile was pretty good.
They consult you first on what you would like-​very warm and friendly. After you get a great head shampoo and massage, wish it lasted longer though. Then you get the cut and styling.
My hairstylist was very kind and willing to take the time to explain everything. Her name was Myilan. I decided to get bangs but my hair was in my face the whole entire time so I must admit I got kind if bored and sleepy seeing how I looked like the ring girl for most of the time.
Towards the styling part it was pretty rough and my head would hurt here and there but nothing out of the norm. Facility is really nice and well kept. I would recommend getting the hair mask cause it makes your head tingle with minty freshness!
Of course walk in knowing that you will be spending money especially if you are buying hair products as well. Overall, I felt well accommodated, good experience, nice people, and probably will be back. Got to rob a bank first. Jk it’s not that bad I’ve experienced worse.
I have long hair, shampoo, cut and style was $ 75.

Ok, let me tell you, I don’t go anywhere else for cuts anymore. I discovered J Beverly Hills through the STRONG recommendation of a friend, and boy am I glad that I listened! It’s not a cheap cut (I paid $ 75 for mine), but not expensive either, when you see the end result. I have not once left feeling disappointed or that the cut I was given did not live up to my expectations (they actually somehow manage to exceed them, haha)
The atmosphere inside is nice. It’s quiet, it is clean, you have a beverage selection (water, tea, etc), the pros working there are friendly and the results speak for themselves, but I’ll say it anyway — they know what they’re doing.
I believe it is street parking, but I don’t know for sure — I live in the area so I just walk or bike over when it’s time for my trim.
It is not hard getting seen, I’ve never had the need to make an appt.
Also — I am not easily impressed when it comes to my own hair cuts. I have had my share of ughh this… just,…no…*cry* — moments/​cuts in my life, but honestly, I just love love love how my cuts come out at this salon. Oh and the staff, they are just amazing, they are more Han happy to explain how they are styling my hair so I can recreate it at home.
I adore this salon.

Cory is the best colorist in LA! I can’t even tell you how many people compliment my hair color. Cory is so detailed and intricate with her coloring. For my highlights, she’ll do a ton of foils so that the color looks rich and layered. I seriously won’t let anyone else touch my hair.
If you’re a blond, especially, go to Cory. Not everyone can color blond well, but Cory is absolutely amazing!

I didn’t like my $ 40.00 haircut & my cousin hated hers.
We wanted to try somewhere new so I Unilocaled around, found J Beverly Hills & immediately booked our appointments on the phone. On the day of our appointment, we went in & the receptionist signed us in & told us to take a seat.
The receptionist asked if we’d like any beverages, such as tea, while we waited. Shortly, she showed us where we could change into our robes. Afterwards, we were seated at our stations & waited for our stylists to come.
Do not get me wrong, the service & cleanliness of this salon is top of the line. My cousin was right next to me getting her haircut & at one point, she had to stand up WHILE her stylist was cutting her hair. we both found that a bit odd. But hey, whatever your method is. that’s cool. I did NOT like my haircut. My cousin HATED hers. Do you know how many months we tied up our hair so people wouldn’t see? There were a couple people that had seen my hair & said it looked weird. including my family members, sigh. So when my hair grew out, it grew out lopsided. wtf?! I went to cut it immediately when it grew out long enough. It only costed $ 15.00 & I LOVED it –_​–
Sorry, never ever coming here again.
