The only good thing about this place is that it’s on EAT24. They were 30 minutes late. Squid and egg rolls were soggy, chow fun was store bought, Peking duck was acceptable. Hard to see how it survives in this town with all the authentic, good Chinese food. At least I did not have to get off my couch.

The sushi was pretty good, just a little misleading. Overall I was really happy with how everything tasted for the price!

Great pricing but food quality taste really bad. Like seriously, worst chinese food ever! Their sushi is one of the worst I have ever had. I had their shrimp tempura roll, california roll and avacado roll. They all tasted like just plain. Not much flavoring on them. They also got our order weong when i noted on our order that certain things cannot be in the roll. I also ordered the pad thai. Now usually when i order pad thai from other places such as noodle world, they have a ton of flavoring. Lots of chicken and meat in it. But the pad thai from Mandarin, came bright orange with 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of shrimp. Yes i counted. Now who makes pad thai bright orange. I took a bite and it was so nasty. No flavor. And what flavor it did have was horrible. Was like they put a mild watered down orange chicken sauce on it and just mixed it in. Ew. Would NEVERRECOMMENDTHISPLACE. WORSTCHINESEFOODEVER. Always great lunch choice while at work. They have great food in my opinion. Today, I ordered lunch and the gentleman that brought it to me went to the wrong location in South Pasadena because I forgot to add the North in the address. He brought it anyway. I feel so bad, and have fixed the issue, but Thank You for bringing my food. Thanks again!

I work in Pasadena and this is my jobs new ordering spot! Lunch specials are INCREDIBLY cheap and have great portions. Fast delivery as well. Haven’t had a bad experience here. I highly recommend this place for lunch. Food is delicious as well.

GROSSMEAT… slimy soup… tempura is more like french fry batter. This is not a place I’ll ever buy from again!

Just tried this place for delivery. Pretty good, I’ll be back. I got the vegetable fried rice and orange chicken and both were very good even after the time it takes to be delivered. I will be coming back again.

We had to have dinner delivered to us(2 people) at an event and this place delivered beyond our expectations! The food was amazing, the best honey walnut shrimp we’ve had in a long time. The estimated delivery time was 30 – 45 mins, and they showed up in 30! If we are ever in the Altadena area again, we will make sure to stop in and have a bite.

I’m surprised I haven’t reviewed this place. The Mongolian beef is pretty tasty hear. It’s flavorful and juicy, that it goes well over white rice. The dishes aren’t those authentic Chinese dishes, but you won’t find any other around here.

The General Tso’s Chicken is pretty good with some Asian/Creole fusion taste. As far as ordering for delivery is concern, I really never had any issues when they deliver my food to my work site. Although, the portions can be inconsistent at times when they put less chicken one week and the next week, they put more.

Been ordering from these cats for many years and I have never been let down. It’s kind of hilarious reading reviews(some are clearly fake, btw) about certain food items and whatnot. As someone has already mentioned — why the hell are you ordering sushi at a Chinese restaurant? It’s going to suck. Stick to the Chinese food. The braised green beans, steamed rice, egg rolls, fried rice, orange chicken, pork buns, won tons, etc., are all epic and have been ordered by me and my family over the course of many years. Some of the negative reviews wreak of amateur hour. Do yourselves a favor and stay home and order from somewhere else. I can almost guarantee that you had a bad experience due to being finicky or some shit. They’re located on the corner of Fair Oaks & Orange Grove — across the street from Church’s Chicken, CVS, and the Chase bank. Yes, it’s in the hood, so suck it up when venturing up here.

Just for the record: I use GrubHub when I order from here. Let me clarify: GrubHub is amazing, and takes care of their customers when the restaurants mess up. Mandarin has done the following in the past 1.5 months: 1. Discarded my order altogether and did not tell me(waited 3 hours for nothing). 2.Left out brown rice as a side, and gave me a vegetable dish instead of a chicken dish I ordered(yet I paid for the chicken dish). 3. Left out brown rice… again. GrubHub was great, got right on it, and pretty much lectured them about the carelessness they have. Why is it an arm and a leg to get the right order?

We’ve always been satisfied with all the orders placed in the past. Orders always came neatly place in a cutout cardboard box to hold all the food«neatly.» However this time was not cool at all. We ordered about nine lunch specials for delivery and when we opened the bag, half the soups and salad cartons were smashed and sauces spilled throughout the bag as if the delivery guy tossed the bags in his car. Just want to say that if you have a lot of food to deliver, please use a better handling system. Thank you, come again :)

I don’t know why this place has bad reviews. The food is great and the price is awesome. I have no comments on the dine in experience(even though I am a brisk walk away), I always have ordered the food to-go and have it delivered to my place. Everytime I order food they are always on time and the one time they were running late they gave me a call and my next order they threw in some extra dumplings. They are not stingy with the meat at all. This place is great, the food taste amazing for the price.

I don’t know what happened! Twice a week I was having a religious experience eating here, the highlight of my hauntingly beautiful Pasadena workdays! But lately the Boba green tea is not much more than water with some goo balls in it and, even worse, the sushi is awful! Twice in a row, four different rolls, just gross! What have I done to deserve this? I always tip, I could have put one of their kids in college! It’ls like they want to get rid of me… Their manners have been suspect as well. Sadly, I won’t be going here again to see if they’ve improved back to the delicious place they once were.

I ordered a combo sushi platter with a salad and a smoothie. When the delivery guy got here 25 minutes early I thought«Yes!» WRONG Food and money exchange hands, pleasantries are said, and at the end the delivery guy puts his hand in front of my face, palm raised and says«Wellllllll?» Not really, but he might as well have with how long he stood on my porch staring at me in anticipation. I don’t tip deliverers with bad attitudes AND delivery charges. I sit to enjoy my meal. Nope. Stale lukewarm sushi, 40% juice smoothie, and NOSALAD. I call GrubHub, where I ordered from, they tell me that Mandarin Worst is going to deliver my salad, cool. WRONGAGAIN I get a call from the same delivery guy asking me if I want credit for the salad, for him to deliver the salad next time I order from there, or *whispered* do I want the salad delivered now. I want my salad when I fucking ordered it, what do you think? He says, alright, I’ll deliver it now, *rushed* compensate your driver *HANGSUP* I call him back after a moment of disbelief, and do the right thing of course. I say, Hi I was the one you just called. You can keep your salad because I don’t want it, and I’m never ordering from there again. You can go shove the salad up your ass for a tip“ TL;DR: Poor customer service, forgot my food, asked me to pay for their mistakes
