We passed by this place many times but never thought to stop here. That is, until a groupon was offered and we decided to give it a shot. The sandwiches were good and cooked perfectly. The cooks were welcoming and seemed excited we were there. The place was pretty much empty besides us, which was strange for dinner time on a Saturday. The waitress we had didn’t seem to care much about serving us. It was to the point where I almost had to go behind the counter to refill my drink. Sad when even your waiter avoids your table, making it seem like you’re not there or somehow not important enough, especially when the place is empty. For me the major issue with Jumpers, besides the lack of foot traffic for them, is their high price for sides. None of their sandwiches come with sides of any sort, despite being 6 to 10 dollars. Sides are 2.50, but extremely small. When I say small, I mean it! If I’m paying extra for sides, I expect to receive something equivalent to the price paid. Definitely not the case here. Unfortunate too, because we really enjoyed the food, but the value and waitstaff were a turn off.

I use to love this place… like as recently as 3 – 4 years ago it was one of the best values in the Pasadena/Glen Burnie area. Everything always tasted so good! Well I hadn’t been in a long time and finally went back over the summer and it was just«ok». I thought I had an off night so I went back a month later and more of the same. My mother told me that she went and had a similar experience. I don’t know if there’s a new owner or what but I previously gave this place 4 stars and now have to drop it to 2. Nothing special here.

How do you mess up everything? Ask Jumpers Grille. Vegetables: destroyed. Cheese quesadillas: cheese not melted, tortilla tasted like ash. Service: unavailable despite empty restaurant. Décor & cleanliness: non-exsistent. And in a bizarre twist, the glass in their windows seems to be some cheap alternative that wobbles in a light wind, giving the impression of lots of movement outside. Not recommended at all.

The travesty behind the Jumper’s Grill on Ritchie Hwy in Pasadena is that the food is actually really good. I was *shocked* that I enjoyed the food there considering the place looks like it is not well maintained, the bathroom was disgusting and broken down, and the tables/chairs look like they’ve been there for 20+ years. Props go to the wait staff who were very friendly but at the same time not very hospitable if that makes any sense. My husband and I got the strawberry salad, «Ahi tuna» which ended up being Mahi Mahi, a bowl of chilli and a French Dip sandwich. The fish bites were cook perfectly and the salad was amazing. The chilli was pretty generic but the amount of butter the chef put on the french dip over powered the sandwich. Would I return? I really don’t know– maybe if they got an overhaul?

We had been here before, approximately 4 – 5 years ago and had an ok experience but nothing to write home about. Never had that urge to come back. About a month ago, i saw a «Groupon» for it, and decided to give it another chance. I got the Pit Ham and my wife got an open faced beef and gravy fries. I’m glad we gave Jumpers a second chance because the sandwiches were full… and tasty and the fries(and gravy) were excellent. Under new ownership(the owner was actually doing some cooking while we were there), and an attentive staff, If you have a choice, I’d say give Jumpers another chance… or if you have never been, give them a try.

Just OK. This place is kinda quirky, u either love it or hate it. The BBQ is run-of-the-mill over sauced Q typical of this area. The have a tasty grilled half chicken which is probably the best thing on the menu. The sides r where its it… yummy boardwalk fries… mac and cheese is to die for. Prices r a tad bit high for what u get. Drinks r cheap if u walk to the bar and buy them during happy hour. lol We have friends that love this place, I prefer Batemans.

Service was horrible. BBQ was dry and flavorless. Fries were ice cold. NEVERAGAIN!!! Business closed!

This place is very weird. We ate lunch here once after seeing positive reviews on this site and were very disappointed. The was an unfamiliar 80’s movie playing in the dining area, the table across from us sat un-bussed the entire time we were there, and the food was average at best.

Jumpers Grille is one of the vendors at Airport Square Farmer’s Market in Linthicum, MD(near BWI Airport) I’ve never been to the Pasadena location, but the food truck is a great place for great BBQ. The pulled chicken and pork are always a sure bet. Sides include potato salad and cole slaw. Staff is super friendly. There’s always a long line, but the service is super fast. The smell from the pit makes it all worth the short wait.

I must preface saying I used to work here about 10 years ago(that makes me feel old). They are under new ownership but make the same kind of foods. Anyways, The sandwiches are good. I usually get pit beef with bbq and tiger sauce. If you haven’t tried tiger sauce, run to Jumpers Grille now and get some! It’s the best and JG is the only place ive seen it. It’s like a mayonaise, horseraddish, heavenly sauce… it’s not harsh like horseraddish though, it’s just perfect. I do have a complaint about the fries. Everytime I get them to go they are super soggy by the time I get them home(3 minutes away) The fries are amazing there but obviously not as good when put in a styrafoam container. They have ocean fries which taste very close to thrashers! I like to dip them in my tiger sauce :) I like eating in but I feel like the service is so slow and when you’re with a toddler and infant, slow is not good. I don’t mean to compare it to when I worked there but we could have a sandwhich and fries out in less than 5 minutes. Even if you call ahead with your order, expect to wait at least 10 minutes. The people here are SO friendly. They’re just regular people, and I love that, they’re friendly and personal.

Since leaving NYC& Boston — this place is one of my new favorite places to grab an EXCELLENT bite! I had the pit turkey sandwich and my husband had the pit bbq pork sandwich — both were awesome! Will definitely be going back soon!
