I’ve been taking lessons with Jessica for nearly 3 years now. She is THE BEST! She is extremely patient and always takes the time to help adjust even the smallest posture issues. She puts you at ease and has a very relaxing presence (which is helpful during tough pieces!) She is an amazing player and has helped me come a long way in a short amount of time. Can’t recommend her enough!!!

Jessica has been giving my daughter (almost 10) cello lessons in our home for almost a year now. We took a break when school started back up because the school also provides bi-​weekly lessons but my daughter kept asking when Jessica was coming back! So, of course, we have added her back into the repertoire :)
Jessica is always prompt and is great with communicating via text or email and will often send mp3s for my daughter to listen to when needed.
She has even provided a lesson cello when my daughter’s cello was in the shop for repair.
My daughter has benefitted greatly from her lessons with Jessica and I would highly recommend her to anyone that’s interested in private cello lessons.

We take lessons online through the wonders of Skype — we were a bit unsure how this would work at first, but it has been great. My daughter has been taking lessons with Jessica since January and the progress in her playing has been amazing. Jessica is a great teacher and has encouraged my daughter every step of the way, pushing her out of her comfort zone a bit and increasing the difficulty level of the pieces she is playing. The whole Skype thing has been great for us as we can fit in weekly lessons quite easily now as it doesn’t involve a long car drive! We can highly recommend Jessica as a cello teacher just as long as you don’t want our lesson time on a Friday as we are not giving that up for a long time!

I took up the cello in my late 20’s and am finally back taking lessons after a few years, so I had developed a lot of bad playing habits. Jessica really helped to deconstruct my technique and is helping me rebuild a stronger foundation on which to perform. She is also dependable regarding emailing and texting when needed. I would definitely recommend her.

I love taking lessons from Jessica. We do Skype lessons, and have been for almost a year. I’ve come so far, and she’s been so patient with me (since some weeks I don’t have as much time/​motivation to practice). She taylors the classes to my needs, and knows which pieces suit my learning style the best. Highly recommend her as an instructor!
