Frankly I had high expectations when I arrived at this establishment. Positive: Good Location Excellent service Nice cocktail/wine selections Negative: Limited menu selections Décor rather sterile I don’t think this Grille will be in business long — although we were in on a Monday evening there were very few people in the bar or in the dining room. Good luck…

The food was amazing. And the atmosphere and the service was great! If you are looking for a good quality steak, this is the place to be! We will be coming back soon!!! Mac & cheese, prime steak, and Nutella bread pudding were our favorites for the night!

Im giving this a 3.5. Last night after our gymtimes, we decided to have dinner at Del Frisco’s Grille since it had been our radar and took part of the dineLA restaurant week $ 39 dinner specials. We were seated, ordered ice teas, and both decided on cheesesteak egg rolls for our appetizer. We also put in an order from the regular appetizer menu and asked for the deviled eggs. The deviled eggs rivaled some of the best we’ve both had and the cheesesteak egg rolls were quite tasty and I liked the sweet and hot sauce that came with it. For our entrees, we chose the Frisco burger and the roasted chicken. The burger and fries were on point. We both said that we wish we would have gone there for Pasadenas cheeseburger week instead of Alondras but that’s a story for another day. The asparagus on the chicken was perfect, crisp and seasoned well. The chicken was cooked well but could have used a bit more seasoning. The potatoes in the chicken au jus was just okay. Then for dessert, we had the lemon cake and butterscotch pudding. We didn’t expect such a huge slab of cake, it was overwhelmingly sweet and definitely needed a tall glass of milk to go along with it. The butterscotch pudding in the jar was amazing and pure perfection. Then the bill came, we knew what we going pay(drumroll…it was $ 101 and some change. Definitely not worth going there for dinner, we both thought we we would have definitely gotten more of our money’s worth if we would have gone to M grill which is one of our favorite Brazilian places and we definitely thought that Del Frisco’s would have been better as a lunch option. Our waitress, Samantha, was great, peppy, and all smiles. Also after or meal, who we assumed to be one of the managers stopped by our table and asked us how was our meal and chatted with us for a minute but overall, everything was ok, it wasn’t spectacular and definitely not worth the $ 120 and change and we still left a pretty good tip and also, because I’m a sweetheart, I offered to pay half the bill. If we decide to go to Del Frisco’s grille again, it will definitely just be for their lunch menu, their burger, or their appetizers.

5 stars if you catch Kristen at the bar! One of the best dirty martinis this side of the 110. Plus she’s a badass

Del Frisco’s has been open on Lake St. in Pasadena a little over a year. It has a simple, classy ambiance, one suited for special occasions as well as casual dining. A varied menu offers standard favorites, all superbly prepared and presented. Service is quietly capable and attentive. A wonderful addition to the local dining scene.

We become regulars of this restaurant since the first bite of that Nutella bread pudding! Came to try out the DineLA lunch menu and their food is always above average compare to other restaurants in Pasadena area. Big Thanks to Anthony and Timothy for both of your professional and wonderful service! Must try: Nutella bread pudding and Fried chicken sandwich

This spot is awesome! Great atmosphere and superb service. We ordered chicken wing lollipops and hell yes it was good. The entrée was superb… Ribeye with loaded potato cakes and asparagus. I’m going to complain about the price of the asparagus $ 9.5… Pretty steep for some veggies, but everything else was great. I didn’t know so much flavor could be packed into little disks of potato but apparently they can. The steak was cooked to perfection and had an awesome crust. I will be back

I like this place. I don’t know why there weren’t more people there for brunch. I’ve been there twice, once for brunch & once for drinks. The service is good and the brunch/lunch prices are reasonable. Additionally, they had the football games on. I’ve tried the white sangria, screwdriver carafe($ 21), and the bbq pork bhan mi($ 12.5). I will be back to try the actual brunch items. When I was there, they had a brunch deal — buy two brunch entrees, get a free app.

Stopped in tonight to enjoy the flavor of something new and different. Needed to try their lollipop chicken. I lived in the Philippines for awhile and loved this variation of chicken wings. They were spot-on. Sauce on the side. What a treat! I have enjoyed a variety of dishes here and have loved them all. From main course to dessert, the food and diverse menu selection works. The crowd changes as the night goes forward. Staff and management take care of the customers like a small cozy restaurant. Tv’s in the large lounge area. Patio and private rooms available. For a multi-location place, there was alot of personal attention. All in all… A great time.

Very average tasting food. Had the fish and a steak. Not worth the money. The martini wasn’t good and the ahi tacos were average. The wine flight Wednesday was great though and the Nutella bread pudding was worth the trip. I would never eat here again for lunch or dinner, but would for dessert. The décor reminds me of a hotel restaraunt. Definitely better options in Pasadena.

My friend suggested this place for our lunch date and at first I thought Steak House? Really? But this place has a great brunch and its huge with plenty of seats. It’s not like most small brunch places where you have to wait an hour for a table and are starving by the time you actually eat. We met at 11:45 and got seated right away. We decided to share the ahi tacos, crab cake Benedict and the burrata salad to make it a little healthy! haha We got the tacos and salad first and they were both delicious! The ahi was really fresh and had a touch of lemonade. The burrata was super yummy. Then they brought out some Crab Cakes and we thought — this is way too small to be our Benedict. Guess they got our order wrong but they ended up giving it to us anyways and put in our order for the Crab Cakes Benedict. The crab cakes were super tasty and by then we were a little full. Our Crab Cakes Benedict(don’t think I’ve ever said Crab Cakes this many times in my life) came out and it was BOMB! Overall this place is great! Would be curious to try their steak for dinner one of these days.

Ordered take-out and not sure if I’m more disappointed that my salmon wasn’t cooked all the way through or that the entrée didn’t come with something more palatable to save the day. I’m all about sushi grade fish but this raw salmon + brussels sprouts quinoa salad wasn’t doing it for me.

I’ll be honest, this is not really the type of place I would normally go to, but I was really impressed on many levels. First of all, I do find the fried appetizers to be a bit corny(burger egg rolls?!) but I really loved my entrée, which was a short rib beef stroganoff. It was a very inventive take on a classic dish, and I would gladly eat it again and again! The beers that were on tap were a little«off» according to a couple of the people we were with(big craft beer fanatics), but the cocktails were good. Also, the service was very friendly and welcoming! This is a great place for a small group.

We came here for our anniversary lunch/lunch break, a rare opportunity to eat at a relaxed pace with two hands now that we have a 1-year-old(hence the lunch, not dinner). There were quite a few working folks having lunch, but inside, it looked like a dinner-y place with a somewhat fancy wood inspired interior. We ordered the ahi tuna tacos, which came in a set of four mini hard-shell tacos. They were good and more than I was expecting for an appetizer. It could have used a little yuzu or something to brighten it up, but otherwise, I’d eat that again. For my entrée, I got the veggie burger, which was very flavorful! It came with a side of sweet potato fries, which were not too skinny or fat. My husband got a hangar steak, which looked good, and it came with a pile of chips/fries mix. We tried the salted caramel butterscotch pudding for dessert, but it a) came with toooo much caramel, and b) was heavily salted throughout, and I’ve had my fair share of salted desserts. I’m fairly certain this was not the intent since nobody in their right mind would eat such a salty dessert. I asked the waiter if this was typical, which I guess it’s not, so we were comp-ed, which was a nice gesture. I would definitely come back again to try one of their salads… I had plate envy.

We were invited to a private dinner at Del Friscos, a great restaurant to hold an event in the private dining room, they even provide a TV for presentations most of the menu was set but everything i tried was delicious! —cheesesteak egg rolls: YUM, never had something like this, loved the crunch & flavors —ahi tuna tacos: loved the crisp shell & guac —caesar salad: probably the least exciting part of the meal —filet mignon: a bit overdone, but great flavor on the crust, it comes with a potato cake —mashed potato sides: fatty & delicious —TRUFFLEMAC N CHEESE: a must order side! loved the gooeyness & the crunchy top —warm chocolate cake: MOIST served with chocolate chip ice cream, mmmm —lemon cake: not as amazing as the chocolate cake i am definitely coming back for a family dinner in the future!

Main takeaway: Expensive for what it is. Service was great. Our waitress was wonderful and at least two managers checked on us. I ordered a carafe of wine(it was Friday night!) and That Guy I Married ordered some martinis. The wine recommendation from the waitress was good– although not what I was looking for. Luckily, she gave me samples of a few so I could decide(wine is the most important part of my meal. Don’t judge). The martinis were perfect and went down WAY too fast and That Guy was having a grand olé’ time. We ordered the cheese steak egg roll appetizer. It was pretty good– something a little different. It was very heavy though. A little greasy and I’m not exactly sure what the white sauce on it was. That Guy ordered a steak and I got the sole francese, which is a white fish with crab on top. The steak was delicious and had some really interesting sides and my fish was ok– although a little under seasoned. I wish the meal had been better spaced– no sooner than we got our appetizer, the mains followed. It felt rushed and I could have used a break(I sound like such a fatty. Oh well. It’s true). At any rate, the food doesn’t stick in my memory. I can’t say I crave anything we had that would make me want to go back. The big con for me were the prices. My fish was $ 29 and his was $ 45. For what it was… everything should be perfect. That’s what you would pay on a splurge place like Ruth Chris. The wine was insanely expensive as well(the cheapest glass was over $ 10) and the martini was $ 15 I think. That’s crazy. If you’re going to charge that much, then you’d better make sure the experience and food is perfect. Better meal spacing, the food should be flavorful etc. I honestly had a good experience but for a dinner that cost over $ 200– it could have been a much better experience overall. The food was forgettable, the drinks overpriced and the meal was rushed. Also, we got a side of asparagus– $ 9 for 5 pieces of asparagus! It wasn’t even that good. We might give it another shot… because the location and service are both amazing.

Like so many restaurants on Lake, I suspect this will end up being another«what could have been» story. Given that I work upstairs, I have lunch here every now and then. While I think the food is decent(solid burger option for lunch, if you’re a fat thug like me), it’s a bit overpriced. And there seems to be a constant flux of one specific type of customer: the douchebag middle-management«businessman». Go at lunch and you’re surrounded by douchebags trying to impress their secretaries. Luckily, the workers themselves are very friendly, expedient, and not at all snobby. Not sure if that’ll qualify as saving grace. Oh well.

Service is top notch! Food is okay. I came here for lunch with friends and we sampled the DineLa menu. Papparadelle Bolognese– the noodles had a good texture, really chewy. The sauce was okay, nothing special. Not enough veal. Nutella Bread Pudding– nice presentation with the caramel sauce. The coffee ice cream was the highlight of the meal. The bread pudding overall was disappointing. The bread was really chewy and I felt like it could have been soaked more in cream or whatever that makes it soft and gooey. I feel like there are so many nice fine dining spots in Pasadena, but Del Frisco’s food didn’t impress.

I have been to the Del Frisco’s in Santa Monica but not for the food. My friend had just graduated and she and her boyfriend decided to host dinner here at the Pasadena location. Reservations were made in advance, we were a group of 6 with 5 arriving first and we checked in with the hostess. She did say our table wasn’t ready so she suggested we wait in the bar area. However, I will say that despite having the reservation we still had to wait a bit. Fine. No biggie. Finally, we were brought to our table, and look, we aren’t big or anything but do you think it’s ok to put a group of 6 adults in a booth?! Plus we decided to order several appetizers along with our main course. So where to put all the dishes became tricky. Food was good. I have nothing to say about that and plus our waiter Brian was friendly and attentive. Overall, it’s a good place to eat, the décor was nice but I was not entirely wowed or anything. However, it was for my friend so yes I had a lovely time. Just don’t make me wait that long after a reservation and don’t stick 6 adults in a booth. Thank you very much.

We stopped by Del Frisco’s during Pasadena Restaurant Week to try out their Suit & Tie power lunch. Normally $ 24, the lunch runs for just $ 20 during restaurant week plus a salad to start. I started with their iceberg wedge, that had big crumbles of bacon and tomato, and was absolutely drenched with a delicious, pungent blue cheese dressing. It was both crisp and cool and insanely heavy. The house salad was equally indulgent, with two criss crossing pieces of bacon over the greens. For the entrée, my 6 oz filet was well seasoned and perfectly cooked to medium rare. It was served with sauteed vegetables, classics like squash, red bell peppers, and onions, and a delicious potato mash with lots of scallions and butter. It was a solid plate of steakhouse food at a reasonable price.
