Wanted to try nitrogen ice cream since there are so many options in Broward. This location is tucked away in the Publix plaza. If you’re not familiar with Parkland(like me), be on the lookout for the Publix sign. Came on mother’s day with my mom so she got a free one, how sweet! While the concept is cool, I was turned off by how everything is flavored by syrups. You can see on the counter all the bottles. My mom got pistachio and I watched in horror as they used green syrup to give it color and flavor. I got a fudge and they used something that looked like Hershey’s syrup. Watching it turn from liquid to cream was really cool, but once it was done it started to melt pretty quickly. Faster than normal ice cream.

Aside from how long it takes to wait, order, and wait for your food… this place was pretty cool. Very different style of ice cream and I loved that you were able to pick out the milk. A little expensive but very good!

An ice cream and Yought new experience. Interesting options from heavy cream base to Lactose free. With trying! Good quality and unique blends. So many options it takes 10 min to figure out what you want to add into building your own Yought or ice cream. Helpful very accommodating staff who make it in front of you and quickly turn the bite size pieces or liquids into ice cream in a minute. From a mixing bowl into a waffle cone. Very casual and you can eat inside. Try it you might find the unique blends very good.

The best. The staff was welcoming, patient and kind. The young lady serving me was suggesting some good combinations. Loved my chocolate fudge with just a little mint and some brownies.

This place is way out west in Parkland. I love the nitrogen ice cream concept. The only thing I wasn’t crazy about was that they put way too much toppings which kind of unbalances the ice cream topping ratio. I guess I could have asked for less but I didn’t know what to expect. The ice cream was good though!

Really wanted to like this place since it’s close… but it didn’t even come close to even meeting expectations. My wife thought hers was good but mine was awful. Ate two bites and threw in the garbage. For me to throw out food it must have been bad. Asked if they had real bananas and they did not so I got the banana flavor. Mistake #1. So chemical and artificially flavored that it ruined the entire ice cream. There are just too many options with Carvel, Coldstone and Yogurtology that this place is rendered useless to me.

I was so excited to try this place when I heard about the concept and how making ice cream different ways seems to be a trend for dessert places nowadays. The venue was very spacious and definitely a fun atmosphere with the scientific decorations and huge selection of flavors and concoctions. I chose the mint chocolate chip concoction with a waffle bowl. As I was being asked about my ice cream and how I would like it made, I chose«soft and creamy». As I received my ice cream, the texture was a little off. It was kind of grainy and was no where near soft and creamy. Nevertheless, the flavor was definitely there and it was cool to watch my ice cream being made from liquid nitrogen. Definitely a place to check out, but don’t think I will be returning anytime soon as I feel I’ve experienced all it has to offer.

Who doesn’t like made to order ice cream and cool liquid nitrogen? Love the low fat option and amaretto and raspberry add-ins. Yummy! Line can be a bit long, but it’s worth the time.

Such a nice experience! Should really go with kids. The nitrogen helps in making the ice cream which is fantastic to see. I got a mocha shake at first which I didn’t like the server was kind enough to switch it with Nutella with almonds mix in. Both girls were pretty sweet. Great customer service.

Great concept, helpful staff. Bring the family. They are alittle too good with flick the wrist, wrist motion is 100. Tell them uncle Marty sent you.(They don’t know me but let’s start a trend.) Cheers.

My daughter and I gave Subzero a try and are we glad we did. We both had the premium base, one with coffee and heath; the other cookies and cream. Both were outrageously good. Perfect texture, creamy and firm, like ice cream is supposed to be. Big thumbs up!

Great little ice cream shop in parkland. The workers were super nice. I had this cherry ice cream and it was great. The worker Vanessa was a great help in picking the flavor. Will be back again

Incredible ice cream(or a multitude of other choices) made right before your eyes using liquid nitrogen. Unbelievable combinations of types of ice cream, yogurts, etc., flavors, and toppings. Price is very reasonable; less than Coldstone and other specialty ice cream shoppes.

Wow! This place really adds an experience to getting Ice cream. I think the concept is so cool. You get to choose a base and then choose from like 20 flavors(as many as you want) and then your first topping is free and the rest are .70 I believe. They toss everything in a bowl and literally freeze the ice cream in front of you, so cool! I got cheesecake and marshmallow flavor which I would highly recommend! I didn’t expect it to be as creamy as a normal made ice cream but it was amazing, this is totally the future of ice cream. I will be back!

Amazing! Best Ice Cream in sofl by far. The ice cream is made by using liquid nitrogen which results in an extremely creamy blend, much different than you would experience at cold stone, kilwin’s, etc., and in my opinion it is by far much tastier. They have a great selectiom to choose from. A cool part about this too, if your ice cream starts melting, they can jus spray it with the liquid nitrogen to freeze it back up again. The customer service is great and the owner is very friendly. If you haven’t been here, I would highly recommend you to try it! A+++ Go Islanders!

This is a pretty awesome place — I like it better than Coldstone myself! It’s really hidden — back in a new development by a Publix. My Google Maps tried to take us to Tamarac first and really struggled with this one — I ended up finding the plaza on maps and just going there. It’s called the Parkland Commons Shopping Center — that pulls up in Google Maps just peachy, so I suggest using that location if you are GPS-ing it. The location is new, and the staff seem excited about it. Very friendly people. The ice cream(we both got the premium base) was actually really delicious! I got the smores — which mixed marshmellow crème, graham cracker, and chocolate chips together, and it was amazing! My husband’s berry one(raspberry with marshmellow crème and berries) was stunning — tangy and soft with lots of frozen(the process of freezing the ice cream right there also freezes everything in it) berries. It’s a fun place to come to, and it’s a bit of a show. Definitely worth trying at least once!

A new twist of serving ice cream comes from Sub Zero. You choose your base(ice cream, custard, yogurt, non-dairy) and your mix-ins, or choose from their«sensations», which is a creative, pre-set menu. The servers then put the ingredients in the bowl and use liquid nitrogen to freeze the ice cream right in front of you. It’s a show of science and yumminess, fun for anyone to watch. I went to the Parkland location, which is quite remote and not yet found with Google maps. I called the store and the cashier was helpful navigating me there.(BTW The shop is found in the Parkland Commons shopping center, past the Parkland Country Club and by Publix). The shop is clean and well lit. My boyfriend and I were the only customers in, and we both ordered a small sensation each. While it’s fun to see the liquid nitrogen mist and fall over the counter, I’d imagine that if there were numerous customers, it would probably take some time to make each order. Regardless of that, the ice cream is well worth the wait. The Magnetic Mint is great, especially with the pieces of Andes mint. I had the Cinnamon Roll Reaction, which I absolutely loved! It wasn’t too sweet but really tasty with the fresh mix-ins. My waffle cone was crispy and an excellent addition to the ice cream, considering that I never order waffle cones. Downsides to SubZero is the remote location and rather expensive prices for ice cream. I spent close to $ 12 for two small servings, but I guess you’re paying for the liquid nitrogen show. I do recommend trying at least once and going for special occasions.
