Wiggle Butt Pet Supply & Grooming

We have been taking our two small dogs to Wiggle Butt for grooming for several years. The staff is super friendly. We know that our dogs will be well taken care of when we drop them off. Grooming appointments are also a good time to pick up food, treats and other items for our dogs, as there is a handy shop in the front of the store. We are happy to support an independently owned, woman run business and cannot imagine taking our dogs anywhere else.

I have taken my cat here for grooming a few times and had good experiences. He’s a long-​haired cat and usually needs a sanitary shave and a few knots in that area shaved out. I took him for a grooming appointment just now — he had knots in his back that needed to be shaved out. I specifically asked for the knots/​mats to be SHAVED instead of brushed because #1 I know it’s painful for him when knots are that big to brush them out, #2 I knew that if they were brushed out the hair would get tangled again before long and he’d need more grooming and I’d prefer to have to wrangle him and drive him in the car as infrequently as possible. I specifically said, I don’t care if it looks patchy or weird, but SHAVE instead of brush. I care about his comfort, not necessarily his appearance. I said he’ll be super calm (he’s always so calm and sweet for groomers) but please SHAVE him. The groomer agreed to shave him. Then she brings him out and sure enough she brushed him. I am LIVID. It doesn’t even look like she did a sanitary shave. I will not be back. I don’t recommend going here if you want a groomer who will listen and abide by your wishes instead of doing whatever the hell she wants. If she wasn’t going to shave him — why not tell me that so I could go somewhere else? I’m completely baffled and angry. When you love your pets, it really takes a lot to trust people with them and I’m just shocked and disappointed… I was SO clear in what I wanted and it didn’t matter. The groomer strait up didn’t care. That’s just an awful way to do business, especially when you’re dealing with people’s pets.
Also they make you drop your pet off for grooming at the back door so you’re waiting in this small vestibule-​like area. So we’re holding our cat showing the groomer where the knots were and 2 people came in with 2 small dogs so we’re all squeezed in this small area and the door to the outside was open for a couple minutes while the other people/​dogs came in. If we had a more temperamental cat he could have jumped out of our arms and ran into the parking lot. Not a great system for dogs or cats.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review for Wiggle Butt yet! My boyfriend and I have been taking our cats here for the past couple years for nail trimming and bath/​brush for our longer haired little guy. What a lovely group of ladies working here! Every time we come in I feel welcome and could easily stay forever chatting with them. Every time we bring the cats in I have absolutely no worry that they will be treated just as I care for them. You can tell the staff here genuinely loves animals and treats them like their own. Last time Ollie came in for a bath I think it was $ 50 or $ 60 which is just amazing considering he will stay well kept for about 5 months. We also buy our cat food here which is a freeze dried raw mix of chicken and salmon which the cats love and I feel confident feeding them something healthy. You can also join their buyers club with benefits like free bags
Of food after a certain number of purchases. They also keep a constant supply of the food I like in store and call me when there is a new bag waiting for me to pick up. I’m super happy with them and will continue to use them for my kitties! If you are looking for a groomer that puts you at ease and will love your pet as much as you do this is the place to go!

I love this place so much! Whenever I walk in I get greeted by a very friendly staff member. Christine is an amazing worker who gives good recommendations and is always willing to help out. This is an amazing small business to support!

Took my dog here for the first time today and loved it! Used to go to Kriser’s but had bad experiences there with getting my dog’s nails cut and their horrible customer service. Wiggle Butt not only does grooming and nails, but also sells several products (food, treats, toys, etc.). The staff was extremely friendly and I will definitely be bringing my dog back! Highly recommend this place.

We love Wiggly Butt! Our 7 month old puppy has been here three times and the groomer, Debra, has always done a fantastic job. She is fast and somehow manages to get a very energetic pup to sit still while she works her magic. Our puppy, Leo, actually enjoys going to the groomer!
Pricing is reasonable and they’ve got a great reputation in Park Ridge. They’ve got separate drop off and pick up entrances which is very smart. The drop off is in the back which is nice because you can see the condition of the grooming facilities.
They also sell dog and cat food, along with treats and other pet supplies so it’s really convenient if you need to pick up anything else.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great groomer!

Wiggle Butts has been fantastic. I have a wheaten terrier puppy that gets matted pretty easily and they always make her look great, even when she has to get cut really short. They can get you in last minute (usually), the staff is friendly, and the prices are comparable (if not slightly cheaper) than other groomers in the area. They even gave me a Christmas ornament of her paw! It’s the little things.

Beyond annoyed with the lack of organization here.
I had my little 8 lb. cat shaved here and, to be honest, they did do a good job, except she is older and was pretty tramatized for a couple of days after. She has been shaved before and we never had a problem, but they told me she had been pretty difficult and it was a 2 person job. That’s fine. She got over it after a couple days. Worth it.
So worth it that I called to make an appointment for my parents’ cat, which is a huge 20 lb cat. They told me the cat groomer comes in on Thursdays and Saturdays.
When I called to make the appointment, the girl that worked there wasn’t even sure that was true. She was like «uhhhh I think so?»
So i proceeded to make an appointment for Saturday.
A couple days later, I was asked to work a little longer than usual on Saturday, so I called to see if I could bring him in a little later, but they told me they had no other times available. No big deal, I told them to keep my appointment in that case.
I left work early, drove to my parents’ house, got this huge cat in a carrier, even got my mom to come with me because he is really attached to her and I thought that might help him feel a little better.
We got there and the girl went in the back to talk to the groomer. She came back in front and, with a big smile on her face, informed me that my appointment was NEXT Saturday.
Ohhhh, no big deal. I just carried this huge cat and drove across town to find out that they obviously screwed up their scheduling. Who tells someone, «You’re all set for Saturday,» but is referring to NEXT Saturday?
I’m not buying it. Nobody offered to fix the problem. I was simply turned away.
In turn, I cancelled my appointment and left. If I was scheduling someone for next Saturday, I’d probably try my very best to make sure that was clear.

We are thrilled to have found an excellent groomer for our pom, Ena, who had, this past March (2014), half her left ear cut off by a groomer. Katelyn not only gave us a last-​minute appointment at the end of a busy day, she took the time to soothe our little girl’s nerves and fixed the botched grooming job Ena had been left with. We could tell Katelyn is devoted to dogs by the way she stepped up to this challenge, expertly fixing another groomer’s mistake. It can’t be easy working with a small, nervous and previously injured dog, but when we picked Ena up, she was her old happy, peppy and cute self! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Sasha always looks so pretty and smells SO good after she is done.
They also carry Fromm’s dog food, so it’s a one stop shop.
Love the friendly employees and reasonable grooming prices. YAY!

Was not impressed with the former owner but noticed some remodeling going on and his vehicle gone. Stopped in and was pleasantly greeted by the new owner Katelin who has worked tirelessly with me to find a dog food for my spoiled lab mix. After months of trying different samples we found her favorite food
.Katelin was also able to trim my dogs nails without it looking like an episode of world wrestling.
The staff is friendly and attentive and there are usually some friendly dogs on hand to make the visit more enjoyable .
Referred my sister to them for her dog and she loves them also. She loves the little bandana’s that come with a grooming.

Today was the second time I brought my goldendoodle, Hazel, in for service. I am so impressed with this place! All the dogs are out in the open in the grooming area, and they can play together before and after being groomed, which is important to me because I don’t want my dog caged, and she loves playing with other dogs. Sarah and I discussed what I wanted done, and Hazel was perfectly cut. The price is reasonable and the place is clean. When I picked Hazel up today, the girl in front said they had something to give me. She brought out a pink clay ornament with Hazel’s pawprint on it, with a sweet note «To Hazel, Merry Christmas from Wiggle Butt.» What a wonderful touch! So happy I found this place, and have already made my next appointment. Hope to be coming for years and years!

I have brought my dogs here for about 2 years since I work nearby. Katelyn always does a great job getting my dogs cleaned up and the nails trimmed.(they try to bike my hand off if I do it)
It’s also much more private than a large grooming service inside of a pet store which is nice because my dogs aren’t as nervous.
It’s also nice because I can pick up dog food while I’m there.

Payton (the bulldog) loves her & as do we. We’ve had no complaints. She is the 3^rd groomer we’ve tried in the area. We changed for several reasons. One groomer I found was inexpensive but her shop wasn’t very clean and smelled really bad. Another was way overpriced and there was no extra attention or personality that went into it. This place is average priced, but most importantly she remembers Payton, she knows he’s a little skidish, and is attentive to his needs. She seems to really like what she does for a living and it shows in her work.

I have been to many groomers for my anxious standard poodle. Wiggle Butt was recommended and I am VERY happy with them!!!

I am so happy with the care that is given to my animals. They are always so happy when they arrive at wiggle butt and always look so nice when I pick them up. I highly recommend wiggle butt for anyone who wants to have their animals well taken care of.

I had the best experiance ever at Wiggle Butt! Kaitlyn has nothing but love for animals! She is the best groomer I have ever had and could never imagine bringing my dogs anywhere but Wiggle Butt! Also she is very creative and put feather extentions on my Pampillion and glue on Bears earings for my Mastive Rot! Simply amazing I couldn’t ask for more!
