I have never had a better pie than their Fruit of the Forest pie. The quiche I also got was outstanding. All pies and quiches come in small and large sizes. I love the small — great for trying different ones. This was my first visit but I’ll be a regular for sure.

I have now visited this local establishment twice and have not been disappointed yet. The apple crumb and chocolate mousse pies are spectacular! If you’re in the mood for savory, make sure to get the chicken pot pie! I’m not a particular fan of quiches, so I can’t comment on that, but as far as pies are concerned, every one has been great!

We tried this place for the first time this Christmas and loved it! The apple crumb and coconut custard pies were outstanding. All of our guests were very complimentary. If you have a craving for home made pies with out all the work this is the place to go.

The best answer to lunch or dinner.(haven’t tried the deserts… yet). The quiches are wonderful! Everything is made by Karen … And she knows how to bake! Looking forward to going back for chicken pot pie mmmmmm

Pies & Quiches recently opened and being a good citizen of Park Ridge(and ok, a purveyor of all things sweet) I stopped by on a cold Saturday to pick something up for my overnight guests. The shop is small and the menu is limited — pies, quiches, and a few other baked goods(cookies, brownies, crumb bars). The one thing I really loved was they have a variety of pie sizes depending on you appetite and the number of people you’re looking to find. They had everything from a standard size pie(10″) all the way down to a little individual sized pie. And one in between. I picked up a zucchini, onion, & cheese quiche(medium size) and a chocolate crumb bar. The quiche was a huge hit! I made a huge Sunday breakfast for my guests and the dish that got the most compliments? The quiche! Go figure. The one thing I didn’t make. The crust was buttery, the texture fluffy, and the flavors were excellent. It was a touch salty, but I mean that in the best most delicious way. Later that afternoon I dove into the chocolate crumb bar, which was a unique baked good that I’d never come across before. It wasn’t as chocolatey as I would have liked, but it was moist and I really liked the crumbled topping. Happy to have a cute local bakery in the hometown, especially just in time for the holidays!
