Three years later, tried it again… as good as the first time!

Stopped here on a road trip between Dallas and Broken Bow based on the Unilocal reviews and have to say we were a bit disappointed. I want to start with the positives, though. First, I’ve visited Paris a few times and I’ve been to I don’t know how many small towns around Texas and I know you don’t find places like this in most small towns. Places like this raise the bar for dining options in small towns. Not all small towns are receptive and can support a place like this so I really do appreciate the risk the owner took in opening this place. Second, the interior is really well done. Either this space has always been an eating space or they took early 20th century fixtures from a former diner and installed them here. It’s even got a lunch counter against one wall with the swiveling stools. Now onto the not so good stuff. The biggest thing I have a problem with is that they apparently make all their sandwiches ahead of time and display them in the case by the cash register. I guess it makes it faster/easier for them to get through a lunch rush? All I know is that all three sandwiches we got had soggy bread from the mayo/flavored dressings. It’s a shame because they probably go through a lot of effort to make that bread. Secondly — would like to see some sides other than chips. Only thing we saw were chips or a cup of soup. Maybe offer potato salad or pasta salad. Third small thing — the woman working that day was not particularly pleasant. She wasn’t rude but we definitely felt like we were inconveniencing her by being there. We were there an hour before closing time and there was another family in there with us so it wasn’t like we were preventing her from closing up and going home. Maybe she was just having a bad day, I don’t know. Back to the good — before we left I noticed they had a nice espresso machine and beans from some Texas roasters(like Addison Coffee Roasters) so I got one to go and it was great. Beans were ground just before extraction and flavor was spot on. If/when I come back through Paris I’d definitely give this place another shot.

Very quaint little bakery. If you ever pass through Paris, eat here! The black forest baguette truly wasn’t the best sandwich I have ever eaten, but it definitely had a spin. It was made with cream cheese rather than honey mustard or a sliced cheese. Very different flavoring. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his turkey sandwich with the raspberry spread. He also grabbed a brownie and a hot mocha before we left. Eating outside on the sidewalk was very enjoyable. Small town traffic, 74 degrees, and small town conversations. Very quaint atmosphere. A must-do if you are ever in Paris.

We stopped here on a road trip. Unfortunately only a half hour before they closed… so not much of a selection. But what we had was very good!

This is my absolute favorite spot in Paris. I love their seasonal specials both sandwiches and soups. Their breakfast offerings are to die for, particularly the cinnamon rolls! They use local wherever they can. You can tell they’re passionate about food and it’s such a nice change of pace in this world. On Saturday night they have awesome pizzas which include seasonal special small plates and a special pizza. They usually have live music that night and it is BYOB. Great atmosphere. I love this place dearly because it is one of the few things that Paris has that we can be proud of.

My husband and I just moved to the area. I grew up near Paris, but have lived away most recently in Austin and Denver. I had no idea Paris had a café/coffee shop with such a wonderful atmosphere, great food and quality cup of coffee. I am looking forward to meeting up with folks here as well as getting some email done while enjoying downtown Paris. I would be happy to happen upon this place anywhere in the world.

I have to eat here at least once a week. Big city quality right here in Paris TX. Very creative sandwiches with something for everyone. I love the chicken salad on a ciabatta roll. They have a daily special sandwich and soup which change seasonly. Deserts change daily and are always terrific. Their breads are exceptional as are all of their baked products. Their multi-grain bread is our house staple. Great coffee and espresso. If you don’t make it for breakfast or lunch come by Saturday evening for pizza night. Outstanding!

Driving through from Dallas, we found this charming bakery on Unilocal. The sandwiches are wonderful, the bread delicious and the soup was really great! A lovely alternative to the other offerings of burgers and BBQ!

Great local lunch stop — breakfast too. A little pricey, but it is a fun spot, good food and nice staff. The bread is the BEST!

Had to drive all the way to Paris the other day and was bummed because there weren’t any obvious places to eat around the courthouse. But then I ran into this place. GREATLUNCHSPOT! I didn’t have much time on my hands but they had a lunch special(½ sandwich + cup of soup) that came out in like 30 seconds, seriously. The«soup» was chili. . YUMMY! It was so good I forget what the sandwich was but it was good too. And WAY under $ 10! I don’t know why anyone would be going to Paris unless you’re a lawyer getting his clients out of jail, but if you’re up this way, skip Subway and the burger joints and check out this family-run business!

Let me first start by saying this cute little place had me at hello when I saw the wine corks as ornaments on the Christmas tree. but to the food we should talk… I was born and raised in Paris, TX, and was in town for the holidays from San Diego, and The Paris Bakery was such a neat surprise. My sweetest friends took me for a girls luncheon and I was glad they did. These aren’t your grandma’s sandwiches, they are fancy and delicious. The vegetable salad was to die for. I will definitely be back because I find it to be as cute and charming as me.

In a town where lunch spots are on every corner, who would think we would need another but these guys are truly on a completely different playing field than all the other spots! They do their best to use local, natural & organic ingredients & all breads are handmade on sight & fresh daily. The imagination of the artist behind the curtain is endless & his creativity & fresh outlook on dining are such a welcome change in a town where the menu never seems to differ from one lunch spot to another. He makes the best carrot cake on the planet! The menu changes w/the season & there are 3 sandwiches &2 salad choices available year round. Pastries are made fresh & go fast after the breakfast rush. They serve locally roasted coffee that is out of this world & the daily specials of a seasonal sandwich & soup sell out quickly. You haven’t had a great lunch until you give it a try. A hidden gem here that is well worth seeking out. Lunch is served till 3& on Saturday nights he opens up to serve homemade pizzas, bring in your own wine & you have a perfect date night. The décor is delightfully fresh, retro & whimsical. If nothing else stop in for a fresh baguette & a cup of That Guy’s Coffee!
