This my second time there I enjoyed the apple shake and the staff is so friendly specially my server Alyssa we always enjoy our time there

Came in here when it was time for a break from the stores. What I need to say first, Service was excellent. We were greeted by a younger women who might have been managing, she l sat us down quickly and left us to our waitress Alyssa. We took more then a few minutes to decide what we wanted but her second time around we ordered shakes and out meals. I got a peanut butter chocolate shake and my boy friend got the apple pie special. He loved his and my shake was delicious, love the little extra they give you on the side makes it seem like you got more then what you paid for. As our meal came, our waitress asked if we wanted anything else which we both were okay. My chicken salad with honey mustard was decent, my boy friend got a spicy burger that he finished pretty quickly with satisfaction. Our waitress came to make sure everything was okay. We asked for the check. Overall, I would come here again. Such friendly staff, if you sit with Alyssa you’ll enjoy your visit 100%.

Dieser Johnny Rockets befindet sich in der Garden State Plaza Mall in New Jersey und zwar im Erdgeschoss, auf der Ecke Richtung Food Court.
Man kann sowohl vor dem Restaurant, auf dem Gang der Mall sitzen oder drinnen.
Da das Restaurant wie ein Diner eingerichtet ist, gibt es auch die klassischen roten Sitzbänke.
Da Tisch und Bänke fest verankert sind, war das Einsteigen etwas umständlich und einengend. Wie macht das bloss ein etwas überdimensionierter Amerikaner?
Die Burger waren durchweg alle recht teuer und kamen bei dem Preis sogar noch ohne French Fries daher. Somit wählte ich die Chili Fries.
Die Service-​Dame war sehr freundlich und beantwortete alle Fragen ausführlich.
Das Essen ließ dann auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Die Burger sahen wirklich gut aus. Meine Chili Fries leider weniger. Die wirkten eher müde.
Das Chili war für amerikanische Verhältnisse auch wirklich schlapp. Viel Sauce und wenig Inhalt, also wenig Fleisch und noch weniger Bohnen. Darüber war dann etwas flüssiger Käse verteilt.
Geschmacklich zwar ok und auch leicht scharf, war ich trotzdem enttäuscht. Hätte ich mal doch einen Burger genommen.
Da ich aber im Johnny Rockets auf der Anthem of the Seas von Royal Caribbean, schon die Burger ausgiebig probiert hatte, dachte ich mir mal, ich teste was Neues.
Man sollte nicht immer experimentieren. :-)

Went there Saturday, very clean tasty food and enjoyed the show. All staff members were accommodating and super friendly. Love the new goosebumps shake:)

Bummed by my experience at this Johnny Rockets over the weekend. My husband and I sat at the bar and just wanted something little to snack on before our movie. I ordered a vanilla coke and he ordered a chocolate shake. We also wanted the chili cheese fries, but our waitress told us that they were out of chili. Whaaaa? A Johnny Rockets out of chili? Give me a break. If I were running this JR, I’d find some chili, and I’d find it fast! We decided to order the fries and onion rings combo instead.
My vanilla coke was good, can’t really mess that up. My husbands shake was good but they were so cheap on the portion! The small glass was only half full when our waitress brought it over, and then the mixing container only contained maybe another half glass of chocolate shake. I remember this being the best part of JR! You’d get a whole chocolate shake and then some extra from the mixing container. It was always so fun. This was just really disappointing. Speaking of portions, the fries and onion rings combo was tiny too.
I usually have such a good time at JR, but this particular one didn’t do it for me. As another Unilocal reviewer said, I wish I knew there was a Shake Shack in the mall!

I’ve gone to Johnny Rockets twice in the past five days– not because it’s great food, but because I was at the mall, and let’s be honest, that food court sucks. Then reason I came back today was because Friday the chicken fingers were amazing! Today… Not so much. They were dry and really overcooked. The fries however, are always good, and the onion rings are the best in the area. The wait staff is small but very productive and on top of things. I’ll definitely be back, but I’ll give it some time, definitely more than a week.

Its been a long time since I was at Johnny Rockets in Los Angeles. I find the locale at Garden State Plaza to be a perfect high walking traffic area. I didn’t like the mini-​jukebox and the handheld game console sitting on our table. I found them to be distracting and annoying. Focus on serving hot meals not entertainment. Service was pleasant but wished they gave me more Fries. The portion of the Fries was unacceptable and wish JR would work on improving the portion size.

This place is absolutely disgusting. My kids who are teenagers and will eat anything wouldn’t eat beyond 2 bites. Place is dirty, dusty and looks like it’s half closed already. We order and 2 different waitress came over to ask what kind of cheese ahh the Swiss cheese that says on the menu the burger comes with. WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME THERE WAS A SHAKE SHACK IN THE MALL!

Loved it.
1) The burgers were excellent. And yes, they were greasy.
2) The chili cheese fries were awesome.
3) The strawberry malt shakes was AMAZING!
One of my most favorite fast casual burger joints.

I went to my fist Johnny Rockets today at noon within the center of the mall. I usually avoided it because it always looked crowded but today was warm for September and not many people were shopping indoors. I listed to 60’s music obviously as I ate my #12 burger with french fries. It was on the small side so luckily I supplemented my meal with a Black Forest milkshake. The shake was almost as warm as the burger, not very. Graciela checked up on me often as well as someone who seemed to be an junior manager. The meal was fine but nothing to sing and dance to.

I was at the mall doing some last minute trip shopping. My friend and I were getting a little hungry so we stopped in the Johnny Rockets. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress, Carolina, came to our table just about as quickly as we were seated. I made a quick joke and she laughed and gave a nice smile. Ordering was a breeze with the only problem being that I couldn’t order more! Carolina brought out our drinks quickly and made sure we had everything we needed, ketchup and napkins mainly. A few minutes later our food was served nicely warm /​hot. I ordered Houston Burger and then some extra jalapenos. My burger was cooked almost perfect and was very juicy. I also ordered the Chili Cheese Fries; which were amazing. I think my friend had a Philly Cheese steak with Bacon Cheese Fries; she said her food was good. Carolina was great as she checked on us a few times; she always had a smile.
All and all this was a great impromptu mall semi fast food dining experience. My only problem here was that the restaurant may be beginning to show it’s age; not the fifties décor but a general dinginess.

Classic oldies feel. The food is tasty, the service is attentive, the atmosphere is a typical diner feel. I personally love JR, the milkshakes are always a must and they even come with an extra cup filled with the rest of the shake! Definitely worth the trip.

Love their burgers. My kids love seeing them dance. The pricing is decent and they do have specials on their burgers. The waitress was nice and friendly. We will come back next time when we are at the mall.

A step up from fast food, but when you want comfornt food… it hits the spot.

I love Johnny Rockets and I never knew they had an unlimited «original» fries deal. I was all over that the last time I went. My wife and I also ordered a strawberry shake and it was delicious. It was enough for us to share. I ordered the «Houston» burger and it was delicious (comes with this amazing spicy house sauce and jalapeño peppers). My wife ordered a burger with a bunch of mushrooms (forgot the actually name sorry!) but it was very well made as well. We have been here 2 times in the past 1 year and had no problems so we will definitely be back sometime in the future. Enjoy!

I can’t help but treat myself to the chili cheese fries (no onions please)! These are soooo delicious!
The burgers themselves are okay, nothing spectacular. They come with endless fries, but you have to ask for them. Sodas are fountain sodas that are always too sweet or not sweet enough.
Shakes are amazing as well.
All around a decent quick meal especially to refuel your strength for the rest of the mall!

I Like This Place In The Quiet Afternoon Hours
As tom m. pointed out the chili is good and the prices are ok. The place is clean, staff is nice enough. Basically my visits have me sharing an order of chili cheese fries with my son and taking a break at the mall.
Please don’t sing & dance while I’m there, the only thought that I can have as I near Johnny Rockets

Pros: I like the fries, chili, shakes and the prices aren’t bad.
Cons: their burgers are just ok for me. They cook them «well» to «well-​done», they aren’t very juicy. The toppings are usually ok.
When it’s crowded, the service tends to fall off. Today it took close to 15 minutes for the waitress to take our order and we waited quite a while for the food to come out.

You know, getting past the schtick of the place, the food does not suck. Not enough places make malted milkshakes anymore. I don’t mind a big ol’ burger from this place, with bacon and onion rings on top. Not something I’d go out of my way for, hardly a fine dining experience. But if I find myself at the mall (as I did yesterday), it’s better than many of the alternatives. I think the malts are the tipping factor in its favor.
Although, speaking of schtick, it was pretty funny when the entire staff dropped what they were doing and broke into a pre-​rehearsed disco dance routine. You don’t see that every day (unless you go to Johnny Rockets every day, I suppose…)

I rate burger places on their veggies burgers.
I dont’ mind that Johnny’s Rocket’s is cheesey and they sing and dance for you while flickering the lights and play 50’s and 60’s music. If i have to wait more than a minute to be seated, I’ll often say no thanks and just go elsewhere (only if I hit them up during peak lunch hours does this happen).
Their veggie burger, which they call «The Streamliner,» is actually pretty good. It’s boca burger style with the basics, but I find that it’s juicer than most places’ veggie burger. Their milk shakes are yummy, very filling, and there fries are ok but definitely the smiley faced ketchup sells it.

After getting Stuck in Fort Lee on morning without my car or motorcycle, and beginning for a friend to come pick me up i told her that luck was on my and that she could pick anywhere she wanted to go.
So on our way back we stopped at the mall and it was decided that Johnny Rockets was where we would go. The people there are friendly sat us right down but it was lunch time, but I think there might have been 3 other customers in the place at the time. The Milkshakes are really awesome, this past time I had a banana strawberry one that was fantastic! Our burgers were nothing special, and the waitress made little smiley faces with ketchup on our places, which if that’s your thing is kind of nice I guess.
They have these Music jukeboxes on the booth walls, and my friend put a quarter in, I don’t remember ever hearing the song so I don’t know if they just devour nickels or is someone with a lot of spare change and even more free times decided to queue up a lot of songs before we got there.
All in all it wasn’t a bad place and it not to expensive either.
