It’s a neat and clean store. People have always been friendly from the deli counter to the cash register and just when I need general help roaming around the aisles. The other thing about this plaza is its well lit and you’re not solicited too often for money or food in the parking lot.

I have been going here multiple times a week for 7 years, and we love it. When we first moved to town we used to «Grocery Hop,» and finally settled here, and now I am a Stater Brother Lover. The best prices around for quality and selection. If you go too super-saver, like Food for Less, you end up with very few brand choices, and poor quality veggies and meat, and paper products. Ralph’s is just too high, period. LOL. Now — The meat is the reason to go, and the butcher is they reason to stay! Fresh, good cuts of meat, and cut to your specifications, just so great, I have never had issues with staff. We are regulars and chit chat with the butchers and cashiers, and laugh a lot. We laugh a lot period though, so we bring that spirit with us wherever we go ;) Expanded Organic Selection throughout all departments. Many choices nowadays, I am glad to see this. Other than the produce, the organic items in the store are very comparable in price to non-organic items. Also new special attention to Sugar, Vitamin content, and G-free. Just good to know that, hey, you don’t have to live near a Sprouts or Trader Joe’s to get similar items. Beer/Spirits selection expanding allll the time. More Ciders available all the time, and some specialty beer too! I don’t need my grocery store any bigger than this one, heck I didn’t even know that was an issue here, hahaha! Plenty of parking, and you can sign up for those digital deals online and enter in your phone number at check out, and the coupons will apply then.

Love coming to this store. Always get help when I need it, cashiers are always friendly and best of all… They always have meat on sale. Short ribs, T-bones steaks, New York steaks, rib eye steaks… etc. You can get the pre-packaged meats ready to go or you can go to the meat counter and pick your meat which they are more then happy to provide you with and wrap up for your convenience. Just like all grocery stores they have their busy moments and it’s understandable… Everybody’s got to eat right… But the meat department at Stater Bros. is what keeps me coming back. Cooking up short ribs from Stater Bros… Came out great!!!

They get two from me only for the Cashers, the manager is an Asshole, My gal asked for an app but instead he would rather talk about how she had no chance as he had 20’s and 30 year olds working for him. My gal being 45, she now works for Ralph’s and has for the last 3 years. There meat you better check it, four tons of Rib Eyes(Really), they sell ZERO Porterhouse, in less you believe the BS the so-called butcher says. This store is one of the lower end Stater Bros and the manger and some of the staff(Butchers) make it that way. If you want great Prices and Still stay with Stater Bros go to the one on 6501 E. Spring Street, the meat is fresher and is not over priced for stuff that has been frozen and unfroze and then frozen again.

I frequently shop here because it’s the closest supermarket chain to me. They occasionally have decent sales, but I’m sure you’d be able to find way better prices at the other markets in the area. Again, I come here out of laziness. They do have a decent alcohol selection with a few craft beers(Stone, Hangar, etc.). There’s also a self-service lotto machine! $$$

Hello. My name is Cristine K., and I am posting my review through my son’s, since I don’t have a Unilocal account of my own. For many years, I lived in Bellflower, close to Paramount, and this Staters was my go-to grocery store. I stopped going there when I moved to Whittier 3 years ago, and I only went to this store only when I was running errands for my mother. I am a single mom of 2, one is 26 years old and autistic, and I have recently had surgery, and now a DVT(blood clot) in my right leg. My mother has been in and out of the hospital, as well as my sons, and my father has had 4 strokes. I had a job at Walmart which lasted less than a month. And also, my autistic son went into a car with a stranger not too long ago. Needless to say, my plate has been full. However, an incident happened here on March 10, 2015, which has caused me to boycott Staters. I went here to run errands for my mother. I went to the meat department, the man who served me, his name was Lee, even though he got my order right, he was rude, didn’t even turn an eye to me, didn’t even say«you’re welcome» when I said thank you, and overall, made off like I wasn’t there. I was really insulted, because I am a customer, and customers deserve to be treated with respect. We are the reason people like Lee have a job. I talked to the manager, Alvaro, about the incident. I asked him Lee’s name because the latter didn’t have a nametag. I explained to him what happened, and Alvaro didn’t seem to care about my situation, or his own for that matter. Well, I care. I care very much. as you know, as humans, we are all creatures of habit, and as so, we all choose where we like to shop and eat. And as I can say, I will never shop at this Stater Bros. again. Yes, my experience was that bad. So, as I close this, I want you all to have a great day.

Just bought a yogurt dill dip here tonight and didn’t think to check the container. It’s expired! Had a date of 10÷28÷14!

One of the larger supermarket chains that serves the neighborhood well. The location is convenient and the selection of produce, dairy, bakery, deli, seafood and meats, OTC pharmacy items, magazines, cards, and everything else you’ll need under one roof. There are even some organic products that are being sold, not as many as other major markets but enough for me to appreciate when I want those items and don’t have to drive too far. Staff is usually busy doing their work stocking shelves or cleaning aisles but when asked they step up and help me to find things. Checkers are awesome as well.

I’ve been coming here since 1997 when it was food for less. Great prices and wonderful people working here. Yes even Gerald. A little strange but very nice. The main reason I’m posting this review is Jesus in the produce is RUDE! If he worked for me he would need to change the way he treats customers. In the past I’ve seen elderly women ask him questions and his response is absolutely RUDE! Again today some women were asking him about the onions. I guess they were classified wrong. And of course Jesus has to be a jerk to these women which over the years is common. One of the ladies walked away and told my wife WOWHESRUDE. If he hates the customers then keep him away from them. This would have been a five star but Jesus shot one down. Don’t believe me? Go ask him a question.

My local grocery store for years now. Contrary to other Unilocalers, I like this mini version of the larger Stater Bros supermarkets elsewhere. They have smaller quantities and thats not a problem. Same weekly sales so Im good. Customer service is awesome, I would guess 90% of the staff knows me by now. Never had issues with any of them, not even Gerald as one person mentioned in a previous review. All of them are great! MEAT Department, FRIEDCHICKEN at their deli, and great BEER prices always make my day!

I’ve been shopping here off and on for about five years. The prices are better than Ralph’s and the produce is usually plentiful and fresh. I like the deli. The fried chicken is moist and they usually have a pretty good sale on one or two of their deli meats. I especially like Latisha. She is always friendly with a ready smile. When she first started in the deli I made it a point to tell the manager how refreshing it was to see someone who cared so much about her customers. The only thing I don’t like here(and other places) is when the checker and the box boy have their own conversation going while the customer is standing there left out of the loop.

This store is small and quaint. Nothing overly tough about this place. What I mean by tough is: It’s not a huge supermarket where they dedicate one full aisle for just Ranch Dressing. You know what I mean? This place feels like the super-markets of old… but… not really. Sort of like a super-market where you grab what you need and go. This must be one of the vaguest reviews of my life.

My sister loves this location. But its so small and the freezer section doesn’t have a good selection. Plus they close early!

This little Stater’s is O.K. It’s one of the smaller stores and not as good as the one on Artesia and Lakewood, but not bad. For some reason, the cashiers at this store are just not friendly. But for a quick in and out, no problem, And the frozen food guy is very helpful and has chatted with me on a few occasions(yes, we eat a ton of frozen, sorry Mom). The parking is adequate. This is just a nothing to write home about, but nothing horrible store. Of course, they have the same great Stater Bros. sales. And, in my experience, the standard not great produce department. The meat always rocks.
