The food is ok. Price is decent mon thru fri for lunch. The only thing i dislike are the restrooms. They arent clean. No toilet seat covers. Sometimes you find the trash cans full or toilet papers on the floor. Doesnt even have a decent smell. then the lady thats on the food side keeping the trays clean is EXTREMELYRUDE. She just follows you around to see what you serve yourself. If shes cleaning around 1 tray and your waiting for the tongs she just sees you and THROWS it at you over to your side. The other people expect you to pay them right away. When there’s times they dont even bother cleaning your table first. Then they get mad when you ignore them with the receipt. The only thing about this place my family and i love is the food pretty much. Ohh and they have to work on their salad bar, fruits and desserts. Not that many choices.

This place was a bit lackluster with its offerings, but for the price, you can nicely stuff yourself with food. For $ 5.99, it’s an ok place to try once. For me, the highlight was the Mongolian BBQ grill, although the one pet peeve I had there, was that the plates were so small, that I couldn’t pile on much noodles and meat. After the cook grilled it, all I got was a small plate. Anyways, it was pretty yummy, with the cook having put a bit much soy sauce. The extra garlic and hot sauce that I poured on made it a good meal all by itself for $ 5.99. Aside from that, the sushi side was ok, but just meh toppings, such as cucumber, imitation crab, and a variety of drizzled sauces. Several pork, fish and chicken entrees, but I didn’t see any stuff like shrimp or mussels. A so-so offering of cakes, fruit, and cold salads. The soft serve section was nice, although the mango slush wasn’t my favorite. Two soups offered, but II only had a small taste of the miso. The place was packed at around 12pm on a Monday, but we didn’t wait, but rather just walked on in. The place is pretty spacious, and it was largely packed, but we managed to get a booth. For the number of diners there(perhaps 150+?), I didn’t feel cramped, or in danger of bumping into people. Also, please note, there’s no 10% discount for seniors for the low $ 5.99 price. There was a TV behind me tuned to a news station, so others in my party could watch, but there was no other TV for me to watch in my direction.

Omg. The worst Chinese food buffet I have ever been too. The food was mediocre, and everything tastes the same. Yuck, yuck, yuck. The bathroom was also disgusting! We will never come back!

An inexpensive all-you-can-eat Asian-American food fest? If you love quantity over quality, this is YOUR jam! This wasn’t my choice and I was really reluctant to eat here because of the $ 5.99AYCE weekday lunch price. I grew up eating at Asian buffets and buffets in Vegas, so no biggie for me! I am an experienced buffet eater. I just hope every time I go, I don’t get sick. I have a strong stomach I always say to myself. A Filipino stomach made of steel and it’s ready for any food adventure that comes my way, including street food and buffets. It was packed for a weekday lunch. The restaurant clientele consisted mostly of local Latino families I’m sure wanting to get more bang for their lunch time buck. We met a couple of locals who are regulars at this buffet. They picked this as our meeting location. The staff knows them well. They were just there last night and come in at least three times a week. The service is really warm and friendly at this buffet, unlike most other Asian buffets I have visited. The buffet spread is quite large. They have those addicting deep fried cream cheese wontons, a Mongolian barbecue bar, noodle dishes, Chinese-American food, sushi bar, salad bar, and a variety of desserts such as almond cookies, macaroons(coconut cookies), cake, brownies, frozen yogurt, and fruit. Asian Star is good value if you love Asian buffets. If you have a large group and you’re treating everyone out, this is not a bad option either. As with most buffets, set your expectations low for food quality and you will have good time. It’s not that bad of an experience for the price. Especially if you’re with people who love this stuff, buffets can be really fun to visit. It’s a comfortable environment where you can cut loose and share a good laugh on how much you’re eating and how many deep fried cream cheese wontons you just devoured. I just love seeing the look on everyone’s faces at buffets and how content they are eating here with their plates piled high with food. Recommended if you are an Asian buffet lover. After trying the $ 5.99 weekday buffet here, you’ll definitely come out feeling like a winner! TIP: Don’t forget to wear your stretchy pants and bring your anti-bacterial wipes for the table. Avoid the carbs at buffets(rice and noodles) and go protein-style. I tend to eat mostly cold crab legs, shrimp, and lobster only at Asian buffets if available.

They give you a good quality for the price. Just as good or better than competitors like King Buffet. The waiters are quiet, which is kind of good because you don’t want to waste eating energy talking lol. Just eat a lot quick since they charge you more after 2 hours.

Hmm. Ok. This place wasn’t my choice. My sister heard good things about it from a coworker. Our visit was during veterans day and because of that the lunch price was $ 11.99. It’s usually $ 5.99. Really? So the food tasted ok. Nothing great. But they had a lot to choose from — orange chicken, noodles, beef broccoli — the norm. They also had crab legs and clams. There is a station to pick your own ingredients for a freshly made stir fry. The service is nice and attentive. The restaurant was fairly clean. It was cool hanging out with the family and all. Eating a little bit of this and that. But next time I’M PICKINGTHERESTAURANT.

This overall review for my overall experience I had for my very time experience here! SMMFH! Took my parents here for first time since its closer to home and saw that the reviews are decent. We actually had a good time. Food was good, place was so clean, ambiance is nice. But its a buffet… would you close the damn door so the freaking flies so dont come in!!! Fucking gross flies all over the food smh… the restroom is so dirty and shit. Looks nice outside but please take care of your restrooms. Got our check, chilling and eating our fortune cookie before paying… UNTIL!!! This bitch! Our waitress decides to come in, not until after 2 minutes and ask us «are you gonna pay?»…no shit im gonna pay?! «Are you gonna tip? 10%?» …WTF!!! Tip is out of courtesy! Smmfh… ruin my fucking experience. …chilling with our ice cream and then just about to leave, she comes up to us again! «Oh you HAVE to tip, 10%»…looking desperate and scared at the same time… wow unbelievable! You aint gonna get tip when u keep hustling for it! «I work hard, i serve all of you» …uhm thats your job to serve… tip you get from generosity and earning it, which you just lost! Because you’re rude! Uh buh bye! Never coming here again because of her ass and the nasty fucking flies flying everywhere. Its good price but i rather pay a couple more bucks for better quality, service! GOODBYE!

When this place opened couple years ago, it was the best thing in town. After the years it just seemed to go down hill. The service stinks; one of the ladies who works there will change out the salt shaker and soy sauce in the middle while you’re eating. They’ll just reach across the table and grab it without asking. Also, my last encounter with them, I saw one of the staff use a white cloth to wipe down the counter. That doesn’t seem bad, but when she uses the SAME cloth to wipe down A FOODTRAY, THESUSHITRAY to be exact, something has to be wrong. Over all, don’t waste your time at this place.

I Really Enjoyed This Buffet. They Don’t Have A Big Variety Of Food, But What They Do Have Is Pretty Good. I Personally Fell In Love With Their Chow Mein. The Place Is Really Clean &’ It Looks Very Sophisticated. All The Employees Are Really Friendly As Well.

Asian buffet is all you ever thought it would be: cheap and filling. Asian Star gets plus points for having a huge selection and also a cook to order Mongolian BBQ. I came rolling deep with a huge party of 50+. We took up nearly an entire section, but seating was never a problem, since you can sit nearly anywhere. -=-The Buffet-=- Kalbi Short Ribs was my favorite thing here. Even when I was stuffed, these were tasty to munch on. Cheese Wontons were also good, but you can only have so much of that. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp, since it could be found in many dishes. Most were nice, big, and plump. My choice of shrimp was of the fried variety dipped in sweet and sour. The crown jewel Mongolian BBQ is as expected. Pile on the meat. Sauces could use some work, but really I was satisfied. People behind me had a big reason to complain though when the noodles wasn’t refilled. So people would be sitting there wondering if there’ll be noodles for that plate of raw meat they already gathered. I didn’t stick around to find out, but on my 2nd time around the buffet it was replenished. -=-Service-=- It’s true, most of the staff just works here just to work here. Tim was a glaring exception. When I saw mostly all the staff sitting around, Tim would be busting his ass nonstop. Big appreciation to his good work. We all noticed.

3.5 stars $ 5.99 weekday lunch buffet is cheap! It use to be $ 4.99, however these prices are only temporary. The prices will go up eventually. Right now the price for a weeknight dinner and weekends is $ 8.99 per person. Not bad. My parents love Chinese food, and even more so when they think they can get their money’s worth. This place is like a dream for them. The interior feels quite sterile and the tables are really close together, like cafeteria style, but it’s clean. And it gets the job done. The buffet row is in a long line the spans the entire back wall. They have the Mongolian noodle station, sushi, a small salad bar, and a dessert bar. The majority of the food is Chinese stir fry, fried food, baos, dumplings, and soups. There is a lot of chicken, beef, and pork dishes and two types of fish for lunch. No other type of seafood. For the most part, I thought most of the food was decent quality and relatively fresh. For the price that we paid, my expectations were definitely a lot lower. But this place delivered. There was a lot of variety. I was even impressed by the multiple flavors of froyo. Strawberry and banana, in addition to vanilla and chocolate. Even the fortune cookie we got with our bill was delicious! Service was pretty good. They were attentive in picking up plates and I saw them clean and pick up tables really fast. For the price you pay right now, this place is worth it. I don’t frequent places like this often, except with my parents, but out of a lot of cheap Asian buffets I’ve been to, the food here does taste better.

Went back about a month ago for another great weekday lunch and noticed they installed some new glowing electric insect catchers high up on the walls to help with the flying insect problems. It was about 11:30 for the $ 4.99 lunch special and everything was hot, fresh, cold things were cold, and everything was tasty. If extra flavor is desired, they have the usual condiments on the table to season the food to your personal taste. One of my favorites is the delicious Mongolian stir fry and the guy grilling everyone’s ingredients worked nonstop from the round grill. Before we left I made sure that he saw me drop in some dollars in his tip container to show him our appreciation. Thanks to the managers for showing their care and concern by looking for ways to improve the dining experience overall.

My name is Rodney & I am a recovering buffet-holic. Many were the days I’d hit up the local AYCE for some calorie-laden, gut-busting sessions of food debauchery. Buffet restaurants would be in the red after I was done with them. However, I’ve been good. I haven’t been to a buffet in awhile. Maybe it’s because I’m more health conscious? Maybe it’s because I got all that outta my system? Asian Star Buffet had a coupon in the mail for $ 4.99 lunch, reg. price $ 7.99. Knowing a deal when I see one, it was time, once again, to seductively slip on the stretchy pants. Beef & chicken are the options over at the Mongolian BBQ section for an employee to cook on the spot. Plenty of vegetable items, such as garlic, bean sprouts, broccoli & onions. I don’t know if it was the quality of meat or the cook taking too long with it, but the beef turned out rather tough. Knowing it’s a cheap buffet, I wasn’t expecting much but after 1 plate, I was done with the Mongolian BBQ. Hot items had food catered to American tastes — pizza, chicken wings, apple pie, broccoli beef etc. Other selections included various soups, mushroom chicken, buchi & baked salmon. Nothing impressive, but decent. The sushi section simply had variations of California rolls. I was hoping for some tuna and/or salmon, but alas, only the«vanilla» of sushi rolls here. However, the desserts section was a winner! Macaroons, crème puffs, cakes, watermelon and other items to appease the sweet tooth. Also included, a froyo station with 4 flavors — chocolate, vanilla, banana & strawberry. Definitely not Yogurtland quality, but the chocolate wasn’t bad. Lots & lots of seating! Enough for your family reunion. Enough for both your neighbor’s family reunions. Enough for your family’s, your neighbor’s families & your cousin’s, sister’s, brother’s family reunion combined. Service was good. My attendant cleared my plates ASAP, and made sure I had plenty of water to drink. Plenty of parking. Asian Star Buffet is an okay Chinese buffet. I wasn’t enthusiastic about anything offered during lunch. There are lots of buffet options closer to me. I suppose if you’re in the area & want a cheap lunch, then perhaps this is the right place for you. As for me, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
