Recently celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary on September 6th with dinner at the Revere. Chose the land and sea for two — 10 ounce filet mignon, baked potato, green beans, one appetizer to share, salad, each gets a choice of seafood. Our server was very sweet and our meals were excellent. We both agreed they were the best meals we have had out in a very long time. Even had leftovers for lunch the next day. The Revere is lovely as well. Looking forward to our next dinner! One last note to the owners, we tried to get a reservation on open table and it showed no availability until 2 hours later than we wanted. My husband called and we got a reservation right at the time we wanted. The restaurant was not crowded when we were there so I am not sure why open table showed that it was. If we had relied on open table, we would not have eaten at the Revere that night and that would have been a shame! We know next time to call for a reservation!

It was late, we needed a light meal. Found this place on GPS and went. I was a little nervous when I realized it was attached to a Best Western, but we went in anyway. We didn’t want a big meal just something light so we sat at a small table in the bar. I had French onion soup, a bit salty, but I like it that way, and a Portobello mushroom salad that was out of this world. My wife had calamari, not the best but we kept picking until it was gone! Good service, nice drinks, classic atmosphere. If you are in the area and just want some light«Bar» fare, go for it. Service was right on.

The experience did not start off well. Three tables were served before my drink order was taken. «Did you hear my spiel?» This was what I was asked by the waitress about the specials. Hahaha. She is the only waitress for 11 tables though only 6 are occupies with two at each table. 20 minutes to get a drink. When my beer was placed on the table, it was put down hard enough to make the beer fizz up. First course; The portobello mushroom with crab had great flavor but was Luke warm by the time it hit the table. I do not fit the demographic of the Revere Tavern but my generation should check out more of these historic eateries. We may be too impatient as I have now been here an hour with no meal and it’s 8pm on a Tuesday. Main course; The first attempt at a meal went back(Veal wrapped artichoke hearts and Asiago cheese with garlic potatoes and snap peas). The veal was so tough that I could not cut it without brut force. Oh and they gave me a butter knife which should have been enough to cut it but was not. So it is an hour and a half later and I am waiting on a «to go» meal. So sorry Unilocal friends but this place needs a lot of help. I am now back at the hotel after two hours with the seafood spinach lasagna. The lasagna is very good. It is a saving grace that will earn them a second star. I did speak with the manager who couldn’t have cared less. He looked past me as I spoke. Disappointed is an understatement. My advice would be to not look at single diners as second class patrons. Also, if your ONLY waitress is struggling, please help her, management. She was kind but very distracted. I will not go back.

Historic tavern. Beautiful stone exterior. Fantastic crabcakes. Sign me up! I went here on a weekend trip to the Amish Country. Great ambiance and warm environment. The tavern has been in existence since 1740 and was owned by relatives of former president James Buchanan. It’s one of the oldest bars continuously operating in the country which puts it on my must list. When we walked in to grab a table(around 6 pm on a Friday night), the hostess was a bit concerned and said there was only«one table» left for the rest of the night. When we walked into the dining room, there were at least 7 empty tables, so that was a strange start. By the time we left(around 8), there were still tables so… The median age of the diners was probably in the 60+ range which means you know its highly recommended. Great service. Each meal comes with fresh baked rolls and a small side salad. They were serving a roasted red pepper butter which was extremely delicious. The salad was fairly standard but considering that in most places $ 20.95 barely buys you a crab cake and some mashed up veggies, I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food. Amazingly fresh, large, and well seasoned crab cakes. It also came with steak fries and green beans. Split a piece of cheesecake for desert which was fairly standard but very enjoyable. I also got a lovely rose to take home, in honor of Valentine’s Day weekend, which was a great touch. All in all a great dining experience!

This place was pretty nice. It had a reasonable wait time to be seated. The food was pretty good. We had the pork, muscles, and calamari. The bread was also yummy. I’m not much of an alcohol drinker, so I had the birch beer which was tasty and not often found in restaurants. The staff was nice. The food took a bit long to get to our table(about 25 minutes) and the selection of food was maybe a little smaller than you’d expect for a restaurant of this type.

Great Lite menu choices very reasonably priced. Rooms were very nicely appointed. Sirloin beef tips cooked perfectly. Crab Stuffed mushrooms were delicious. Salad included with dinner was a bit wilted. Service was excellent.

Went out to dinner with the girlfriend after reading all the reviews about Revere’s Tavern. The place wasn’t busy at 9pm, so we were seated immediately. The food overall was really good, including the famous Turtle Soup. The main entrée for each of us was the steak and chicken, which were all cooked perfectly. My only gripe was that the bread didn’t come out until 20 minutes after we were seated and the water refills went undone. The décor is a bit dated, but the building is old so that was expected. The bar looked very nice, although we didn’t stay. Overall, it’s worth coming here for a dining experience and I’d certainly come back again.

Fine dining experience. It wasn’t very crowded so service was excellent. Their Crab Cakes were delicious as was their stuffed shrimp. Nice atmosphere. Too bad we were just visiting the area or we would frequent the place more often.

Holy diamond in the rough. Literally the best calamari I have had in my life. And I’ve eaten a lot of calamari. Everything was beautifully done but the chicken Chesapeake really stood out for us. The swordfish was allegedly excellent(not my thing). Granted my expectations were super low as we just stopped for a quick bite while staying next door at the best western. We thought we stumbled on one of the endless overpriced mediocre meals in the world. In hindsight, it is more than reasonable and I dare say I would make the 2 hour drive back here just to eat here again.

We just had dinner there this weekend. Everything was really except THEFOOD! We had reserved a fireside table. The fireplace wasn’t going they said that was because it was over 50 degrees. The waitress was wonderful. The food was really lacking. it just wasn’t good. Neither my wife or I are picky. The price was way to high for the quality of the food. We won’t ever go back there.

Food was really good, especially for the area. The tavern itself is really neat as well. This is a great change of pace if you want something unique and non-chain like. Stuffed shrimp were good and chicken chesapeake was tasty. We shared the chocolate cake dessert, very rich. We had a reservation but service was terrible. Only thing keeping this from a 5 star review. We were seated and waited 25 minutes to place a drink order.

this is one of those old digs you find and you are sitting here wondering if this may be the only thing these Paradise folks know about fine dining. Yes it’s a throw back to 1979, yes the place reeks of history and betty crocker dishes. But I kinda liked it. *turtle soup(probably the amish trapped them) *fancy parsley garnish *Great Bar! *open table seating *yeah that’s me on the roof

Went here on a date and it was an old fashion fine dining! Loved it service was great, food was wonderful! I would make the 2 hour drive daily if I could. We had the crab meat stuffed mushrooms that melt in your mouth, and the Chesapeake chicken and stuffed veal where unforgettable. The place seemed quiet and empty though they were packed a bus trip was in the next room!

OK guys, here’s my more in-depth review this time. I was EAGER to give them another 5 stars, but the service wasn’t on point tonight so they’re still doing just fine with a 4⁄5! My aunt and I had our go-to meal, the Land and Sea combo for two, $ 79.99 for two MASSIVE meals. Here we go: For appetizer you get your choice of stuffed mushrooms or soups. We had the soups last time(french onion — delicious!) and opted for the mushrooms this time. Each of us got two MASSIVE, delicious stuffed mushrooms, so good! Hold on to your stomach because you’re just getting started! Next up is your salad. I had mine with bleu cheese. The salad had mixed lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and incredible homemade croutons. This was overall fantastic. The only thing I found strange was that most of the salad was dry and the bleu cheese was on the plate in a dollop on the side. No big deal, but strange. On to dinner — there’s a TON of food on the plate in front of you. 10oz filet mignon which was(and always is) impeccable. The veggie of the day was green beans and I opted for mashed potatoes. The potatoes were very good, I found the garlic taste a bit strong. Still so good! Also on the plate is your seafood choice of stuffed shrimp, crabcakes or scallops. I had the stuffed shrimp. The shrimp themselves are HUGE but after all that meat I was in no mood for more stuffing. After removing that I downed the shrimp. Yum! I had a molten chocolate cake for desert which did not disappoint. Let’s talk for a moment about what cost them a star — service. I’ll save you a lot of hassle, just ask for a server other than Eric. It’s a shame that an establishment that prides itself on ineffable food employs such a subpar waiter. An embarrassing tarnish on an otherwise pristine dining experience. Remember, do yourself a favor and be sure to ask for a server other than Eric. Enjoy your meal! I always have :)

Although reviewed pretty well by others; I would not recommend. The atmosphere is old and tired. There’s a musty odor throughout. The food is mediocre at best including the Risotto was mushy, the salads were drenched in dressing, the wine list sub-par. This just briefly summarized our experience.
