This is definitely one of the hidden gems of Panama City, FL(right up there with hunts oyster bar and Sakura in Lynn haven) Very humble environment for the quality of food served at this establishment.

This is a small place, right off of Tyndall Parkway. We had never even heard of it but after it was recommended to us twice in one day, we decided to try it. We had a very nice, quiet dinner. I think there was only one other couple in the place. The server was so sweet and attended to our table/orders perfectly. We started off with the dumplings as an app. They were good but the sauce was way too salty for me. Luckily the dumplings were perfect without it. For dinner, I had the Yuk Gae Jang and my husband had Bi Bim Bop. Both dishes were incredibly delicious. We will go back soon to try out more options on the menu.

Loved the Kimchee Soup and the staff was really friendly. We had a couple in our party who had never tried Korean and they were eased into it here and loved it.

Incredibly delicious korean food hidden by a gruff exterior — definitely a must-try! I got some of the fried dumplings and the jajangmyun, and they were both really good! Throw in the fresh kimchi and other sides and you have a true winner.

This is the best Korean food I have ever eaten! Prior to this I would only eat Korean if invited by someone else. Now I will go eat here alone. The only reason I did not give the restaurant five stars is because of the filthy silverware I was given. When I requested a second piece of silverware, the second one was almost as dirty as the first. Beyond that, the service was good. This place is worth it’s good reputation.

So happy I found a Korean restaurant in the area! Don’t let the outside fool you, inside is a nice atmosphere(with Korean TV playing) and delicious food! The staff are very nice and you get unlimited Kimchi… What’s not to love?

One of my regular stops while on business in PC. Mandu was hot and crisp. Bulgogi was tasty and not to sweet. Kimchi was flavorful and not overpowering. I’ll be back in a few months to enjoy it again.

My favorite restaurant in town. Small and family run, they bring a fantastic taste of Korean cuisine that is sure to please anyone willing to try. The food is consistently high quality and made with care. The staff are kind and open to guests. Anyone looking for a great dinner or lunch at a reasonable price must find this amazing gem. The only draw back is that they close Sunday and Monday, otherwise I would eat here any day of the week.

They are very good and authentic(lived in South Korea for two years) they service is really good. Granted it is the only Korean joint in the area. This place is a 40 minute drive from my house but I make the drive all the time. Wish they had some k-BBQ! Kimchee jiggae is my favorite!

ROCKON. I’m almost bummed I’ve been passing this place every day for the past year… I will definitely be going back. Come here for spicy, sweet, and sour awesomeness, served fresh and on the cheap! We stopped in for lunch and ordered the dumplings, spicy bolgogi pork, and sweet and sour chicken(not Korean, but these folks have put a tasty spin on the dish). The lunches arrived in Dosirak form(if you’re not familiar with the term, think: Dosirak = Korean equivalent of a Japanese Bento). Not the small ones, either. Each lunch had four different styles of pickled and/or fermented veggies(sprouts, cukes, cabbage kimchi, and – I’m only 90% sure on this last one – daikon), plus rice, a fried dumpling, and the entrée. For less than $ 8.00 per lunch special, that’s a heck of a lot of food. It was tasty, fresh, and had boatloads of flavor. The outside of the restaurant is old, but quaint… and if you’re not looking for it, you may pass it by. You’ll miss out if you judge this place by the exterior, though… the food was great, the management & staff were super kind and helpful, and the best part: it’s super convenient for anyone traveling to or from Tyndall(it’s also a quick hop from much of Lynn Haven). The rest of our local Thai and sushi favs will have to scooch over to make room for Seoul Garden in the rotation… this place is a gem.

First Korean restaurant I tried when I got relocated here, the bibimbap was a disappointment but the kalbi was pretty good. It’s def not the best I’ve had but I would come back for the kalbi. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I meant to review this place when i had it a few weeks ago but i just came around to it. So we ordered steamed mandu, bi bim bop, and jam pong. The mandu wasnt good at all. I had just one and didn’t eat the rest. The bi bim bop was OK but that was the first time I had bi bim bop with lettuce in it. The jam pong was just OK too. The prices are too high, it might just be dinner prices, I don’t know but I guess when there’s not many Korean restaurants around, it works for them. I’m going to try another place that serves Korean food that I heard about but I hear its also some type of store? We’ll have to see about that one. Overall, I wasn’t very impressed with this place and I’m half Korean so I think I have some credibility but hey, everyone has their own taste. I just think this was at the bottom of the list for Korean food for me.

I’m sorry, but food here is not good authentic Korean food. Kimchi tofu stew is super sweet with no spice. Squid is basically stir-fried squid in a pile of red colored oil for looks no real flavor. Side dishes were okay. I was disappointed with every dish. Nice little size restaurant. The workers were running around being behind. Might need to hire more help. And at check out the server told us to tell her the cost/total. Lol never seen that before. She almost just charged us half of what we ate. I couldn’t do that though. Nice place but they definitely need some improvements. I guess I was raised with good authentic food around me; this place is just not there for me. I’m glad it gets ppl to branch out and try new things in this area though, but if you want real Korean food please try it elsewhere so you can see the difference!

One Star for being here, One Star for Service and One Star for Food. Exceeded expectations which is good. The banchan dishes were not so great, the kim chi tasted like the one which comes from a jar, it just was not good. The cucumbers were bland as were beansprouts and whatever the 4th one was. We asked for spicy champong and soon dubu, they were pretty mild, the champong soup was very nice full of flavor but not really spicy. There were a lot of vegetables and meat and seafood but it was all way over cooked, overcooked carrots and onions in particular. The soon dubu had a lot of nice tofu and some seafood in it but again the sauce really lacked spice and depth. An appetizer of yaki mandu was tasty and well priced at $ 4.95. The whole meal was well priced and no complaints on that, I would just like to see the flavor and spice go up a few notches. The restaurant is pretty far from PCB — more like Calloway so it’s a bit of a trek from the beach but still worth it when you need to get away from raw oysters.

As my first time eating Korean food, it was a nice experience with a few unique flavors and very friendly staff. The flavors were nothing crazy, but I loved how fresh and healthy the Kimchee soup was.

As a transplant from the northeast familiar with excellent Korean fare I was pretty disappointed. However since this area is desperately lacking in ethnic food you will probably not know that this food is not as great as it could be. But where else can you go to get bulgogi, bibimbap, or kalbi prepared? Just make sure you come for the lunch special rather than paying the pricey dinner time menu costs.
