I’m here using a Groupon($ 12 for 2 admissions & $ 10 to use in the gift shop.). I’m glad we came with the Groupon, if I had to pay full price I would’ve been disappointed. The displays are outdated and a couple don’t work or are missing parts, however there’s a lot of variety. The«gift shop» needs serious revamping. Since I came for my children and they are having fun, I’m giving it 3 stars-but I’m being generous. The people that work here are all very friendly and helpful.

While the Science and Discovery center has all of the means to educate students and adults alike about introductory scientific studies and aid in the discovery of the natural earth they key message being brodcast is more well suited for a health class as they clearly are using the opportunity to convince children not to use tobacco. While that message is important and needs to be addressed it may be more well suited for another event such as a trip to a pulmonary clinic. Otherwise this location has plenty to do for people of all ages at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly but they continuously blart the anti-tobacco message. Anti-tobacco does not have s*** to do with an oscilloscope nor does it have anything to do with laboratory experiments. We will not be back unless the primary goal of educational values towards science and the study of the natural world are restored at this location.

If you don’t have anything nice to say… then come sit next to me! Okay to be fair we didn’t actually *go* to this museum. Our family is a member of The Wonderlab in Bloomington, IN and this museum was one that we were supposed to be able to get in to for free because of an agreement they have with other museums like it around the country. Once we took a road trip which was really just about hitting all these sister museums and we had a blast! This time we loaded up the kids and drove over from Mexico Beach(after driving the 13 hours from Indiana) and when we got in and handed her our card *whoops* it was an expired one. We knew our membership was current so we asked the front desk woman to call and she quite snippily said«I don’t call.» It was before noon on a Friday and there was ONE other car in the parking lot. This woman who had literally NOT A DAMNOTHERTHINGTODO refused to make a PHONECALL to verify our membership!!! RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDDDDDDDDDDEEEEE. So there ya have it. Touristy family with a enough kids for a basketball team and indulging parents with $$ to spend in the gift shop loaded up and LEFT with a BAD impression of these guys and their crappy customer service. Great job defending the gates Lady!
