We ate at Pineapple Willys this past Sunday night. The wait was long(1.5 hours) but that is always expected here. They have built an area for waiting which has appetizers, drinks, a band and televisions(sports). We were at the beach and put our name on the list before we started packing up, I’d recommend this if you’re close. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri while we waited, it was perfect and served in a 32oz souvenir cup. When we were seated, we were greeted by a nice waitress(don’t remember her name). I ordered the Riblet bucket. I enjoyed it. Everyone said their meal was good. Now… Everyone’s asking to go back!

Good food, good drinks and fun! My only suggestion is higher tables and chairs. We ate outside, but couldn’t see the view for the deck. High top table and chairs would make a big difference.

When it comes to atmosphere, it’s hard to beat Pineapple Willy’s. For one, it’s right on the beach and you can sit on their covered pier and watch the waves. Inside is huge too with TVs everywhere, as well as games, and a places for music acts to perform. Also, Pineapple Willy’s gives you gracious portions, which is a plus in my book. But when it comes to food, I really can’t say it was memorable or I’m just dying to go to Pineapple Willy’s for their whatever. I’m not a seafood eater which might be part of the problem. I’ve had the ribs basket before and well, like I said, I don’t remember saying«wow I have to come back for these ribs», but I don’t remember them being awful either. Today, I tried the Reuben. The sandwich was huge. They didn’t put 1000 island on it. It came with a pack of Ken’s 1000 island. I really could have went to Arby’s and be just as satisfied, with spending less. The fries were hot and fresh. The slaw is unique because it has pineapple mixed in and it is creamy. Don’t get me wrong… it wasn’t bad at all — just ok. So if you are really hungry or want the atmosphere, Pineapple Willy’s is the place you want to go.

I give Pineapple Willy’s 4 stars because it has a wonderful staff, good food, great environment, and quick order times. The one thing I do not like that they have octopus to eat, but that’s just me.

SOOOOOOOO Average I really tried to give this place a chance. Despite the reviews, we went and gave it a try. The only good thing to come out of this trip were the fruity mixed drinks. Our meal was BEYOND basic. Shrimp Po-boy and the Cuban sandwich. I should have known it would be bad when the waiter asked me what sauce I wanted on my poboy. THEN when the sauces came out and were in «Kens» prepackaged cups it was completely confirmed. I feel that any self respectable sit down restaraunt should either make their own sauces, or at least pour them in a ramekin giving the elusion that they do. So for the food… The shrimp was dry, and the meat on the Cuban was fatty and there was nothing special about any of it. I’ll chalk this one up as yet another tourist trap and we will simply not come back. Hopefully this review will stop someone from making the mistake of giving it a chance that I made. There are FAR better places to eat within a quarter mile. I’d recommend spinnakers or dirty dicks in a second over this place.

Overall good experience but a bit overrated. The food here is very good, but it really all depends on what you order. I especially suggest the grilled shrimp! Delicious! However, the corn that come on the side is disgusting and tastes like it had been cooking all day. Absolute mush. Another plus side is the meal sizes are huge. We were able to share meals one person every two people in our party because they are so large. The grilled shrimp came with three skewers filled with shrimp, along with lots of side items. The second best thing about this restaurant is the location. It is right on the beach and there is even access to the beach from there. Great views of a sunset if you go at the right time! Very crowded and the drinks are not so good. The one plus side is the cups come with the drinks so you are mostly paying for the cup. Overall good but still not quite sure what all the hype is about.

This month makes 10 years that my husband and I have declared this place to have our favorite ribs. They fall off the bone, and they are so flavorful. Every time we are in the area we go, and sometimes when we are just an hour or so out of the way we still go!

Pineapple Willy’s gets my five-star rating for a couple reasons. First, its ONTHEBEACH friends. The location is stellar. It’s über-casual, feel free to show up in your swim wear and flips. Buyer beware: in the summer, the wait can be insane. That being said, if you can wait then by all means do it. The food is A-MAZING. The«pineapple willy» drink is a gigantic pineapple thing reminiscent of the old«blue hawaiian» drink. It’s sweet, smooth and too easy on the tastebuds. I’ve been here in the summer as well as late fall. It’s just plain fun. You have your choice of eating«in» or out… not sure why you’d wanna dine in when you’re on the ocean but to each his own, right? Just in case, there are plenty of TV’s in the bar for those inside folks. My absolute favorite at PW’s is the Mahi-Mahi BLT. It’s a super fun, lively place. If you DO have to wait, there’s a cool little shop selling PW’s t-shirts and other funky stuff.

Very nice atmosphere eating out on the pier. The food on the other hand wasn’t as memorable. Got the seafood platter and it was pretty bland with not much flavor. Very much of a touristy restaurant, and the bill isn’t cheap either. Would go somewhere else as there are many other options available.

We found this place by accident because we were looking for something else and I want to THANK the GPS for mid directing us because he food and drinks were amazing. The best deal is the seafood platter. Almost forgot the service matched the food. We asked the sever about the place we were looking for and she gave us direction. No, she did not say anything bad about it and said she hope we enjoy our visit there. Since we were in town for several days, we was hoping to make it because of the reviews.

This place has been the best job I’ve ever had! Yes I am an employee and I give us 5 stars because we deserve it as a whole. I have never worked anywhere where I felt like every single one of us was family. When someone is on hard times, we all pitch in to help each other. Our owner and managers are some of the best people I have had the opportunity to work under. It should tell you something about a place when the staff has been around for years, even decades! I personally love our food. I’ve eaten just about everything on our menu and so does the rest of the staff just about every day. I always recommend either the Island or Creole Mahi dinners and a yummy large pineapple willy with and extra shot. I feel like you can’t go wrong there! If there is ever a problem, we are always more than happy to fix it and make you happy. No matter what anyone says, this will always be my number 1 favorite place to be

Kinda on the expensive side, but it’s a lot of food so it’s reasonable. I’d give 5 stars if I like the grilled shrimp, and if they could do half grilled half fried. I had to trade w a friend to get grilled shrimp, which wasn’t even that good. It was different if you ask me. My friends absolutely LOVED the hot wings. They said they were perfect and was craving again the next day. The frozen drinks were really good. But they didn’t have enough alcohol as I like. Basically, you won’t get drunk drinking the entire thing. I had to add more alcohol to mines to get a buzz. 32 ounce is 13, 10 refills. 32 ounce was the biggest. On the bright side, you get a free souvenir.

If your going for the food(go for the atmosphere) get the fried fish or ribs. Stay away from the nachos. Don’t expect great food but rather decent food and one of the best views in any city to eat off the pier. If you go then avoid windy days. The waiter was awesome and even made my daughter a balloon dog. Key lime pie was great. Go on a beautiful day and eat on the pier, you won’t regret it.

OK, anyone that has been to PCB for vacation has probably been here. It is a typical beach front bar. We had to drive to it and had lunch there. It has off street parking and it is rustic with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor is covered and extends out like a pier with many many picnic tables lining each side. It is very casual with a bucket on each table with paper towels, menus and condiments. They have full bar and but no draught beer. what the heck???(–1) We were going to sit out near the end of the patio(pier) but it was chilly and windy so sat further in next to the building so very comfortable. We shared the Jack Daniels pound of ribs, which was excellent and more than enough for both of us for lunch. Glad we did not order fries or an appetizer. I had a couple of fat tire bottle beers and my friend had the fruity one where they kept the plastic cup with a lid. .Oh yea, you get the plastic bucket the ribs come in so if you are in to little souvenir gifts. go for it. apparently the drink was very good … The service was friendly and atmosphere is what you would expect… fun and worth the trip. It gets a 4+.

We dropped in to this place our last night of vacation. … was pleased to find out that I could get refills on drinks in my Wicked Wheel souvenir Cup… With drinks from the Fat Tuesdays franchise(one big monopoly). Dinner was an hour wait but in the meantime we were able to have drinks and nachos at the bar. Dinner was cool, spectacular typical seafood menu. The atmosphere was nice. Another notch on our out of town restaurant list.

At the end of the summer family traveling season and before the snowbirds start to show up is the time to hit Pineapple Willy’s. It’s not crazy busy, there is plenty of parking available and you’re likely going to get a great table as I did. Well, great in terms of location. The tables out on the pier(which only juts into the beach, not the water) are little more than picnic tables with no seat backs. You’re not going to be sitting here for hours. I opted for the bucket of ribs, having been warned in advance that it’s the thing to have at Willy’s. And indeed, the ribs are served in a plastic beach bucket. You’ll want to get the fries on the side as well, simply because they are fries. The ribs share well, if you’re one to share your ribs. As I was dining alone, I didn’t have to. It’s more than a half rack, they are very meaty, and they are very wet from the sauce. With fries, beans and cole slaw, it’s a meal. Sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, eating ribs and drinking beer. It’s a tough job, but I’ll do it.

Do yourself a favor and get the ribs. They’re the best thing on the menu. Sure BBQ covered fingers and the sand might not sound like a great combo — but Willy’s does it right with the ribs. And if you have kids — the bucket works great as a toy! The drinks were mighty strong & delicious. And who doesn’t love a souvenir cup? Always a fun stop when in PCB.
