Dovalina’s Wood Fired Pizza

Great pizza! Best I’ve had here since moving from Chicago. The owners are pretty cool people who seem to have a passion for great food.

Was looking very forward to trying this place out with it’s gimmicky way of cooking pizza which sounds like it will lend a flavorful mouthful that tempts you to overeat. Needless to say I was very disappointed in the total ordeal.
Crust was too doughy (undercooked). There was no hint of sauce, or at least none that my palate detected. Pepperoni was just barely cooked as well as the the toppings underneath the very top layer of cheese. The top appearance did not give off that assumption. Very bland taste that could have easily been outdone by your common frozen pizza. Overall appearance looked like it was going to be a nice dish, but once you bit into it, you would soon desire to eat something else. Perhaps the recipe, preparation, or way of cooking needs to be looked at. Sadly to say, I have no desire towards trying it again.

Went to St. Andrew’s specifically because of the great Unilocal ratings, but we couldn’t find the place?

They are new. So I added them and get to put in the first review. Awesome pizza, nice people. Found them at the farmer’s market in a big red trailer. Since they are just starting out we wanted to give them a try. We had a pesto, bacon, and mozzarella. Loved it. The crust texture is fabulous. We will definitely be back. Check their website to find out where they are, absolutely worth it.
