I work at a flower shop in my hometown and two things we don’t like at the shop are Saturday deliveries and balloons… but it’s my niece’s 2nd birthday and I wanted to surprise her, so I called to see if they could deliver a balloon bouquet to Tyndall AFB today. As a florist I felt bad doing it to another florist, but I adore my niece and wanted her to smile. Despite being swamped today, Ms Shirley took my order and was really friendly. They are retired military and seem to really take care of their own. She was the only florist in town that would take my order and I greatly appreciate it! I know now what flower shop I’ll be using while my brother and sister in law are stationed there! Thanks again!

I called with an unusual request of adding Kleenex and blue pens to an arrangement. (For an inside joke.) She was able to accommodate the special request and deliver the same day to Tyndall AFB. I called a couple places beforehand, but nobody was willing to help out the special request or deliver on base the same day.
