The atmosphere is awesome! On the water, lots of fish to see, boats everywhere, very nice. The food, although pretty long wait was yummy and had a nice presentation
I must warn you though when it says drink included with kids meal there are no refills even with sweet tea!!! I found that obnoxious and the sign of a starving business. It’s 1.59 for a refill! I was shocked and as the waitress stated its on the menu, I didn’t read the whole thing to realize that! Either drink included or pay for it! It’s that simple. Plus, I don’t love when a server is snappy. I came for fun, food, and family time, not correction

I wouldn’t even give one star, but you can’t leave a review, otherwise. WORST service we’ve EVER received. TWO hours & all we were served were our drinks, appetizers, & my 17mo grandson’s grilled cheese (which took 45 minutes.) The waitress had the nerve to ask, «are you ready for dessert,» without waiting for a response as she cruised by with another table’s order! THEN she had the nerve to come ask if we were ready for our BILL! We hadn’t been served our food! She tried blaming it on the cook staff. Our patronage, and that of our families’, will go elsewhere from now on.

This place is definitely off the beaten path but the atmosphere is amazing for being a little marina grill. The trash burger was okay. Basically just sloppy joe on a burger. I wasn’t impressed with my trash burger but they do put other stuff on it if you are lucky.

I am visiting from the keys. This was a great find, it reminded me of some of the keys restaurants. As an appetizer I had the potato chips with the ranch dressing. They were great. My catfish basket was good also, the fried corn was excellent. So, if you want a Florida Keys atmosphere, I suggest eating here.

First off, let me say that their Cajun Shrimp Burger is the best burger in town, bar none. A lot of their food is very good (crab balls, trash burger, fish/​shrimp offerings and so on). I’ve dined here maybe a half dozen times in total.
The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is due to the service. Sometimes you get great service… and sometimes I think they send out a worn down waitress fighting a hangover (if you’re lucky and sometimes you don’t get anyone for 30 minutes).
Normally, terrible service kills ratings… but that’s just how good the food is. If I know I have an hour or more to waste on bad service and can handle negotiating about the irregularly priced food on the check (my friend and I ordered the same thing today and got different totals on our checks), then this is a no-​brainer. The food is just that good. Props to the chef/​cook. Maybe consider pushing some of your waitstaff into Massalina Bayou.

When u get the tuna here order it med rare… but most of the time when u order it med rare u get it rare serves is great they are very nice and are on point. (She/​he) are always on a good pace with serve I recemend Jennifer she is very organized and does slow down.

Really good find by my wife. If your not in a rush and want a quiet local place away from the beach then this is the place. Grouper was good, fried pickles where the best we ever had (had some fried jalapeño in them and where great). Burger was good but not great (tasted like it came from frozen). Fried corn on the cob was good and brownie was really good and enough for me, wife and two young kids. A must go if you want a relaxing sunset on water and the feel of a Louisiana bayou.

Dined with picky 7 year old and 13 year old. Both loved their meals. Three adults enjoyed their meals. Great food for anyone who wants to avoid corporate restaurants.

First, we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, but all tables overlook the water. We ordered the bowl of clam chowder. I wish it was creamier. Then we ordered the kids grilled cheese, kids shrimp & fries, fish & chips basket with sweet potato fries & fried corn, grouper basket with sweet potato fries & fried corn. The fish portions were very small but good flavor. Nice local flavor!

This place is an amazing gem. The food was fantastic, I had a burger with shrimp on it! Even the fried Conch appetizer was fantastic.
The fact that it’s on the water just add to the great experience.

The location is kinda in the middle of nowhere by the city. You park anywhere outside and then walk some distance to the restaurant where they also have a store and a dock.
When u get to the end of the path you seat yourself at any open table. The view is beautiful. You are seated right by the bay.
Service was wonderful. We had a nice sweet lady.

We got our app pretty quick.
We got the shrimp wrap $ 6.99 it had a whole shrimp in it !! Yummy tastes like a veggie egg roll with a shrimp. It also came with a spicy sweet dipping sauce. Yummy !!!

My husband and I shared the shrimp wraps appetizer which was fantastic. You get 6 shrimp each one is wrapped in a wonton wrap served with a delicious sauce. I had the Mahi Mahi basket with sweet potato fries and sliced tomatoes. He had the Shrimp basket with fries and fried corn on the cob. He remarked, «that fried corn is killer.»

My customer’s office is right around the corner from here, so I popped over to Bayou Joe’s for lunch on a weekday. There was only one other table occupied when I arrived, so my waitress was well prepared for taking care of me.
I chose the grouper sandwich, blackened. What arrived was a very healthy piece of fish, nicely cooked and spiced. Bigger than the bun, of course I had to cut a couple of pieces off and eat those first before adding the lettuce and tomato and onion to it and digging in. The «loaded potato» salad was good, but other than some bacon bits I’m not sure what the concept here was.
Awesome to sit on the water. And by ON the water, the restaurant is out on a wooden dock. You are sitting ON the water.

Pas terrible, même très bof, pour des plats qu tournent aux alentour des 25 $ ça manqué de raffinement servir dans des assiettes en plastiques pareil pour les verres c’est des godets, le restaurant est plus une attraction pour les enfants qui jettent la moitié de leurs nourriture aux poisson qui jettent dessus et font la joie des enfants du coup ça devient bruyant
Le plancher est sale très crasseux j ai même vu un cafard courir sur le comptoir.
Dommage le cadre est sympa mais on y est avant tout pour manger

In a word: Great! We arrived to find Carman, our server, who was here last year. She was awesome and says she remembered us.
The food was great as always. We saw Dolphins swimming in the bay and fed the vast amount of fish swimming right at the table’s edge and watched as the draw bridge raised and lowered to allow boat traffic in.
If you are looking for a great place to eat that is off the beaten path, Bayou Joe’s is it! I had the Grouper basket add shrimp with a local brew. Then, we finished it off with a Drunk & Ugly peach dessert — you gotta go there to understand how good that is…
Rest assured, we WILL be back again!

Wife said the Cajon burger best she has had in a long time ! The Crab Cake sandwich is very good as well. Get the Drunk & Ugly dessert it’s to die for !
