We went for Valentine’s Day yesterday(just by accident, really) and they had HEART-SHAPEDCREAM-FILLEDDONUTS. They were perfect and delicious. My absolute favorite thing are the kolaches(sausage and cheese). The coffee is hot, and the people are friendly. My daughter’s favorite part of vacation is donuts for breakfast(and the beach).

Let me start this review by telling you I’m an imposter. I hate donuts. I don’t get up in arms over them. I don’t crave them. Krispy Kreme is not my jam. Dunkin Donuts is meh. I only eat donuts at Thomas’. I grew up in Panama City and these donuts were a staple on any trip we made to the beaches. It’s a quaint old ice shop turned beach snack shack and it’s so cozy and inviting. Staff is friendly, and it doesn’t hurt that it sits right across the street from that emerald coast. Indoor and outdoor dining is available and when the weather is nice… who wouldn’t want to sit outside? In more recent years they’ve added an ice cream shop into the mix, making it a perfect beach stop. Don’t miss out on the cinnamon sugar cake donuts. It’s heaven in your mouth. The blueberry and red velvet are also insanely good. So take it from me… a true hater of donuts. Thomas’ is it. I doubt there’s a better donut. But don’t take my world for it :)

HANDSDOWN the best donut shop ever! We typically pick up breakfast every morning while visiting PCB! The cheese grits are amazing and the biscuits are delicious! Of course, you must get the donuts! Be prepared to wait if you don’t get there early! FYI They recently added an ice cream shop and can’t wait to try it!

The donuts are good! Come early. The have a lot of filled donuts. The ice cream servings are huge. I had a single scoop in a waffle cone and it was the size of a triple scoop. The view is amazing. Sit on stools and look out to the ocean. Great place for after dinner treat.

So we were heading home from PCB one night, a lot later than planned, and I agreed to stopping at Chipotle for dinner, since I knew it would be quick and easy. The hubby was thrilled until we pulled into the turn lane and realized that it isn’t even open for business yet, with its big«NOWHIRING» sign in the window that we could see from the highway. Of course, I could not have cared less, but we know of nothing decent between PCB and Fort Rucker and we weren’t going to wait until we got home to eat. Found Thomas’ Donut and Snack Shop on Unilocal, and it was not really in the direction we wanted to go. Since it seemed most places that were open are dine-in and it was a Saturday night, we decided to suck it up and give it a try. I found this place wonderful, just on appearance alone. There is something about a mom and pop business that has been around forever(sign says 50+ years at that location, I believe?) that makes my heart happy. I went with a cheeseburger and fries, while the hubby went with a shrimp sub-sandwich and a chocolate cake donut. While we waited outside, the smells coming from inside were pure torture. I had a difficult time not going back up to the window and ordering donuts and muffins to take home. Even if they had possibly been sitting in the window all day, they still looked delicious. After about 15 minutes, our food was ready, so we hopped back in the car and ate it on the way home. The cheeseburger and fries were decent. They were honestly nothing spectacular, and I couldn’t tell whether the fries were pre-frozen or not, which I think is a good thing. Hubby’s shrimp sub-sandwich was also good, though on the small side with the shrimp being breaded and deep-fried. The chocolate cake donut was better than I expected. I didn’t LOVE it but I look forward to coming back and trying the rest of their donuts until I find one that I do love.

Once bitten, twice devoured! ;P On a recent sunny vacay in PCB, we rolled in for some dough. With no line and few cars out front, we knew it wasn’t going to be long before that all changed. So we quickly scanned our many options on the board above, received recommendations from the friendly lady behind the counter, and narrowed it down to [only] the following: 2x Red Velvet Cake(aka donut) 2x Blueberry Cake 1x Chocolate Glazed Donut 1x Custard Filled Donut As we waited, the donuts laid out and lined perfectly tempted us from behind the glass. We were also overwhelmed by the scent of grilled items from the back in competition with the nearby beach breeze. Aside from donuts, homemade food items are also available to order here such as hot wings, seafood baskets, chili dogs, burgers, pizza, and even Texas style kolaches — just to name a few. Time was of the essence so we took our box of cake-donuts and hit the road. Miles away, we wished we ordered more, but our waistline was glad we didn’t. Every bite was deeeeelicious and devoured slowly. These cakes were fresh, scrumptious, super soft and moist! Make a U-turn! Make a U-turn! Thomas Donut & Snack Shop is conveniently located roadside so y’alls have no excuses not to stop by here. ;D Come for the donuts at least! You won’t regret it. [BTW, the photos don’t do these goodies any justice. Ya just have to try them for yourself.]
