Always great Pizza at Joey’s Pizza & Pasta. When I worked at Emerald Falls Recreation Park down the street me and some of the guys and ladies ordered Pizza from Joey’s. The Pizza was delicious and made just right I remember the Pizza was really big and huge. One of the best Pizza places around to order at.

My first night after moving to Panama City Beach I decided to order from Joey’s, this was a horrible mistake. I placed my order to be picked up however my gps took me to the wrong pizza store. I called and asked if the pizza could be delivered as I could not find the pizza shop on my own. When the delivery driver arrived he said he did not have any change so I had to tip him an entire 10 dollar bill for a 12 dollar pizza. Upon tasting the pizza it was discovered to have an extremely excessive amount of salt. Calling in to explain the issue with the pizza I was told that I probably put the salt on it myself and that my money would not be returned and then was hung up on. After a second call I spoke directly to the manager who said he would return my money however he would not send the driver back to my location but that I had to go in myself with the pizza so that I could get my money back. This of course I could not do as my GPS could not properly locate the pizza store in the first place. Sufficient to say that this was not how I pictured my first night in Panama city. If you would like rude service and an extremely salty pizza by all means order from joeys. P. S I would have placed zero stars if I was given the option.

I want to love Joey’s Pizza, I really do. First, their name is awesome, and the family that owns it have wonderful personalities. What saddens me is that that quality is really hit-or-miss. Sometimes, I’ll order takeout and be greeted by a deliciously prepared New-York-Style pizza, other times, I’ll open the box only to be staring back at a charred abomination that literally tastes like a piece of burnt cardboard. I’ve noticed that this normally only happens during lunch and dinner hours, so if you can order during non-peak hours, you’re more likely to receive a tasty gem. Lets assume you’re getting a well-cooked pizza. Cheese pies are great and you get plenty of tasty fromage for your buck. The meat toppings seem plentiful as well. The veggies kind of left me wanting. They’re a bit expensive and not particularly plentiful. The tomatoes were your standard supermarket hot house variety(which love to make a soggy mess) and the mushrooms had an almost pickled flavor. When not overcooked, the crust has just the right thickness to fold(the hedonistic preference for pizza scarfing) and the tomato gravy is rich and tangy. If you’re willing to let fate decide, then call Joey’s mom and roll the dice, you may end up with a Rocky I instead of a Rocky IV.

This is the most horrible place on the beach, the food is awful, the service is terrible, the attitude is dreadful, all in all the worst experience in all of PCB, the food entre’s seemed frozen and low quality, the pizza just rubber and paste, with ketchup, the sausage, dry, and hot even though they said it was sweet sausage, the service was the rude, and even nasty, when we mentioned that the sausage had hot pepper in it we were yelled at by the horrible cook who was sitting at the bar, can you imagine for two people in a pizza joint spending over $ 30 on dinner, someone yells at you, and the waitress became sarcastic and nasty, what an idiot, no tip for her just unspeakable, the food is terrible, and the service even worse, you can do better anywhere else on the beach! Very sad for the owners, but obviously no one cares at this place. The owner probably wrote the other complimentary reviews.

Probably my favorite Pizza on the Beach. They recently moved to the 2500 Block of Thomas drive, but their pizza is just as good! If you’ve got an appetite, take home one of their large one topping pizzas for twelve bucks. It’s huge New York style slices and a great deal. Try a calzone for lunch. They’re premade and ready to be heated in the oven when you get there. If you know you’re headed in that direction, go ahead and give’em a call and they’ll throw your stuff in the oven. You can’t go wrong with anything at this place.
