They keep saying there will be happy hour specials soon for Spring Break 2016, but none yet. I will keep checking each week. We locals miss the specials but always love the atmosphere and music

First time visiting PCB and this place was marvelous. We sat outside and enjoyed the beach atmosphere. Great food as well!

Awful service, cold food. We got there our party was skipped over when ordering, it took forever to get our food.(Some people in our party never got their food) the order was wrong. I let the waitress know it was wrong, went to cash out and order was still wrong. She corrected it but then pretty much threw my change back at me. Disappointed as a local. wont eat here again.

This place is absolutely fabulous! The service is great, as is the location, and the food is amazingly delicious and fresh. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

I’ve been here many times. The have good burgers and the margaritas are decent. The best thing about it is their location though, you can sit at the rail and enjoy the gulf view right in front of you! The service is average, friendly enough though.

Great little restaurant across from Pier Park. Nice views, good portions, and good prices. They only have four tables inside so be prepared to eat on the patio if it’s busy.

Customer service was horrible! Hostess was nowhere to be found, when I did find the hostess she had an attitude about seating me. I seated myself at the bar, and the bartender just ignored me until I got his attention. However the food was delicious I got the blackened mahi mahi and it was pretty good.

We stopped in here after exploring the dog beach at Pier beach. My daughter had the shredded beef tacos ‘fantabulous’. Hubby had the mahi mahi fish tacos blackened, said the tacos were great, beans ‘boring’. I had a crab cake(good but could be lumper) and the best Cajun gumbo I’ve had in my life. I will drive back here from Atlanta for this gumbo. One beer and one Pinot total bill was $ 47 with an ocean view and my dog. ‘Heaven’

Consistent it is *not*, unfortunately. Went back for dinner and ordered the exact same thing(the fisherman’s soup) and it was significantly saltier than the lunch serving. So salty I wasn’t able to drink it down like I did 3 days ago. Disappointing! For $ 25 it should be consistent. I feel like I misled Unilocalers with my review from 3 days ago. Also note: from sunset to close, the bar area is full of tipsy fisherman and locals. Watch out for fishing poles and exposed fishing hooks or you may actually get hook’d at hook’d, which wouldn’t be much fun.

We came here for dinner at about 8 on a Wednesday. Unilocal and the hours posted on the door said that they closed at 9; however, when the hostess came to set us she asked if we were wanting to eat and said she didn’t think the kitchen was open anymore. We both work in the restaurant industry and know that it’s not really smart to close the kitchen an entire hour before closing, regardless if you are a bar or not. Anyways, she went and checked and said it was so we were seated at a high top looking out at the ocean. Only problem was that there was absolutely no light at this table. I couldn’t even see the menu or anything to be exact. I was able to prop my phone up on the napkin stand and use my flash light from that. I got the Philly cheesesteak because I saw the picture of it someone posted but it did not look anything like the picture. It was still good just not what wash expected. My food would have been 3 stars, but my boyfriend rated his fish tacos 5 stars so I’m settling with 4. The server was pretty attentive and nice. I don’t have much desire to go back but I know my boyfriend does!

Went to Hook’d for a late lunch, around 215 on a Friday afternoon. Business was slow, as one would expect. No host was waiting at the stand and after about 2 minutes someone finally came to seat my family. After being seated, our party of 3 waited 10 minutes without being acknowledged by a server. I admit I have high standards, but when paying tourist prices I think that exceptional service should be expected. I went to find a manager to express my dissatisfaction and was«shushed» and ushered out of the dining room and onto the outside dining area, even though I made it a point to never raise my voice. The manager, which can only be considered the loosest use of the word, said I «jumped on» her and never gave her time to solve the problem. Of course, I never even received an apology until I asked for it. Unacceptable. When the server was finally dispatched to the table, he never introduced himself or apologized for the oversight. Food, however, was excellent. The fish was fresh, fried expertly, without even a hint of extra greasiness. Fries were hot and crisp. Oysters in the Po Boy were perfectly cooked. No complaints at all about the food. When time came for the bill I was surprised. No offer for desert, no apology written on the check, still no idea what the server’s name was. This is simply not how one runs a high quality establishment. When I returned to the condo my family was renting we spoke with one of the neighbors, a year round resident. She said all the locals know not to go there and that the staff is rude. Now, this non-local knows and will make sure everyone else does too.

Disclaimer: I’m only reviewing atmosphere and drinks. We did not eat here. We stopped in late night for a beer. I immediately knew these were«my people.» Awesome rock tunes were blaring, folks were playing beer pong and cornhole. The bartender was super friendly. We sat at a table overlooking the beach. Strangely, so many establishments in the area close early(10−11pm). I’m on vacation, I want to have a beer and stay out late. This place stays open til 2am on the weekends. Nothing pretentious here. Just folks having fun. We’ll definitely be back.

Loved this spot in PCB! Fresh seafood, friendly service and you are next to the ocean. It without comparison beats all the chain beach places like Barnacle Bill’s, Dick’s and things of that sort. — SPICY. If you like spicy food, they’ve got it. Their wings are extremely spicy and every waiter warned us before getting them. — BEERPITCHERS. It’s nice to just get a pitcher of beer and relax. They had Rolling Rock on tap, so we went with that. — INDOORANDOUTDOORSEATING. You pick. — VERYFRIENDLY. I wish I remembered the guy’s name who was our server, he was awesome. Gave great advice on the menu, hung out with us for a bit and was very quick. — FRESHSEAFOOD. Their fish tacos are the most famous menu item and indeed are phenomenal.

I saw this place last I came to the pier to hang out and fish but didn’t have the time to try them out. When it come time for dinner I was excited to try out hook’d pier bar and grill. this is a prime location for a restaurant but we did have to be stuck traffic a good bit to get there. Parking is another little annoyance because I had to park at pier park which was extremely busy and it took me more than 25mins to find a parking space far from the restaurant. Please note that I was there for memorial day weekend and if you are there on the off season, you not have to deal with the parking issue. Interior was not big with a small bar area but they did have a wall full of liquor and good selection of beers too. They do have a nice patio section with live music on the weekends and part of the patio section that look out to the ocean. I dropped off my wife so she could put us on the wait list while I was parking since they don’t take reservations. We waited to be seated outside but was offered a table inside because they said outside seating would take much much longer. soon as we sat down we noticed that there was 4tables open outside. I have a sharp eye and with 4 empty table, 1 was not cleared so what about the other 3 open tables? We asked our waitress very nicely if we could be moved outside and was told that we would go to the BOTTOM of the waitlist and go back outside where it was hot and wait when we already just waited like 30mins standing outside. 3TABLES still open and 1 table is being cleared now. We very nicely asked a second time because about 16 mins after we asked the 1st time(YES, I was looking at the clock on my phone as I was checking in on Unilocal), those seats looking out to the ocean were still clear and were not seated. also note that when they were finally filled it was not saved for a bigger party. what I feel like I got from the wait staff was a big undercover«F U, I don’t care where u wanna sit.» I was pretty upset but I didn’t wanna make waves and possibly ruin the night so I held myself back and order a beer. BTW Kudos for having Fat tire. one of my favorite :) Now the food though was pretty good. wife had the seafood sampler and the broth was delicious. I read raving reviews about the fish tacos so I got the blackened fish tacos and a seafood platter. My seafood platter was pretty good. The batter was on the lighter side and crispy with good flavor. Fried fish filets were nice thick juicy crispiness. The shrimp tasted fresh and good too. none of that micro popcorn shrimp crap. I really like their hushpuppies too. I was interested in the fish tacos and we got it as our appetizer but it came out after our main entrée. It was made on time but whoever was in charge of bring it to our table didn’t make that happen. I think fish tacos may have been as good as the reviews but what I got on my plate 15mins after it was made was not that great. I had high hopes for this place. few other things happened with staff that made me unhappy. Food was good but it did not come out on time even though it was ready Yea…was the whole outside seating that big of a deal? No it was not. But I think it the wait staff could have accommodated us or could have been handled better with that many open tables. We wanted to stay here and get tipsy after dinner since it was our last night in town but sadly we went somewhere else for drinks. I don’t much enjoy writing bad reviews because I kinda relive that unpleasantness as I am writing this but it’s just what happened and how I felt about it. If the review was just on food and food alone. I would give it 3 to 4stars

Hook’d has a good amount of reviews so my friend and I decided to dine here one afternoon for dinner. We came early(~5pm) to beat the crowd and avoid the long wait although we had to wait ~20−25mins for a table. INTERIOR Very small interior as far as dining tables. It’s very colorful though. Plenty of patio seating. DININGEXPERIENCE Live music on the patio area near the Pier entrance. Always good to have live music while dining. This restaurant overlooks the ocean and you get a pretty good view. Definitely sets the ambiance. FOOD –Fish Tacos [11]: can get it blackened, grilled, or fried. comes with two tacos and chips and salsa –Hook’d on the Sauce Seafood Sampler [25]: this sampler came with blue crab legs, fish/catch of the day, oysters, and shrimp. all of this simmered in a Signature Warm Golden Delicious Broth reduced from White Wine, Fresh Vegetables, Herbs & Spices. It’s served with toasted baguettes, hushpuppies & corn on the cob for dipping. The food was delicious! We were all satisfied and full! The sampler was definitely a big portion and enough for two. SERVICE Aside from the cute staff; everyone was very attentive and friendly.

Based on the numerous rave reviews for Hook’d essentially got me to drag SO for a meal one of the nights we were in PC. They do not take reservations, call aheads or anything; so at least one of your party must be there in person to put your name on a list. They also do not hand out one of those buzzy light saucer things; but will take your phone number down and call you when it’s time to be seated. Since they are directly across the street from a plaza/strip mall, the wait time can be a bit. Because of the holiday traffic, it took SO good 30 min. to find parking, but it also took that long for us to grab a table so it worked out I guess. I had requested outdoor seating to the hostess, but was very disappointed when we were seated inside. Our table was right next to the door, and it was extremely cramped. My chair and back got bumped by the door more time than I’d like to remember, I asked the hostess and the server about being seated outdoors as we requested and each time was given a look like, yeah, sorry about that but I’ll see what I can do and then casually just walk away DESPITE several, several open spots on the deck which I also pointed out to them. Because there were so many reviews on the fish tacos, we requested that for an appetizer. I decided on the hook’d on the sauce sampler, SO decided on the fried seafood platter. Unfortunately, despite us telling the server that we wanted the tacos for apps, that never got relayed to the kitchen because our entrees came out and 10 min later, our server came and asked us if we were ok, mentioned that we didnt get our tacos yet; was visited again by the server twice more and even she was wondering where the heck our tacos were. At this point, I really just kinda wanted to cancel it, but it was just being brought out from the kitchen. What was totally unnecessary was the attitude it came with bc the lady mumbled underneath her breathe, wow, AND you guys got tacos? Gee, not your wallet paying for this and not your waistline paying for the calories so why is it your business to make such a comment? And if we had gotten this as our appetizer like we requested then there wouldn’t be an issue. Needless to say, that whole experience left a very unpleasant taste in my mouth. However, I will say that what we did eat was very delicious. The Hook’d sampler was a bowl with large pieces of fish, shrimp, blue crab claws, oysters and corn on the cob. The crab claws were very meaty and everything was wonderful tasting. I think tho, that the bowl would be even better sans fish since the filet was HUGE and did not compare in flavor to the other seafood components. I had a few bites of SO’s dinner and that too was delicious. The fried shrimp and oysters were very large and juicy, the hushpuppies one of the better ones in PCB. I may try the Hook’d again, but I just don’t want the side of attitude that seems to be served with the meals and for that, I must deduct a few stars. If not, I would have easily given this place 4 solid stars.

Ate here for dinner last night after reading reviews on Unilocal. The atmosphere is really cool, and the view is beautiful. We got there around 6, and we didn’t have a wait. After reading about the guacamole and fish tacos in reviews, I decided that I was definitely going to try those. I was disappointed in the guacamole. While it wasn’t bad, I was expecting fresh, chunky guac. My fish tacos were good, and I got the slaw to put on them. We eat A LOT of Mexican, so I don’t know about the best I’ve ever had as some others have said, but they were tasty. Hubby had the Dunken Drunken Shrimp and said it was fantastic. I tried the broth, and it had great flavor. Overall, it was a good meal with a pretty view. Our waiter, Doug, was really attentive and helpful!

I was a little disappointed that they reduce their menu for dinner because that primarily leaves your typical greasy spoon items as options for dinner. Their salad dishes are the reason we came— that and their prime location on the beach of course We were still pretty happy with our dishes. I ordered the gumbo and for $ 6 it was extremely filling. I was taken aback by the amount of food I got. When it comes to dollar per calorie, this dish is definitely a bargain. My husband ordered the blackened shrimp and that was a tasty dish as well. I little on the salty side, but perfect once dipped in the cocktail sauce! It comes with a side of seasoned fries an hush puppies all for a reasonable price of $ 12. Like I said, the prices for this restaura t are awesome considering its location. It’s right off of the pier and faces the beach. They even allow you to bring your dog and on weekends they have live music. It’s a nice change of pace compared to your usual dining establishments in Panama City beach.

Came here for lunch and had a pretty good meal. My girlfriend and I went for a walk at pier park and walked along the pier and came across this place at the beginning of the pier. We wanted to eat somewhere local and not a chain touristy place. We requested to be seated outside on the high tops overlooking the beach. We ordered the fried shrimp and guacamole tacos which came with rice, beans, chips, and mango pico. It was a generous portion of two tacos with lots of shrimp, it will definitely fill you up. It was very tasty and fresh, delicious. I highly recommend the tacos. My girlfriend ordered the dunkin shrimp bowl with baguettes and cole slaw, with a side of fries. This dish is basically a broth bowl with a ton of shrimp in it. The broth is so good I ate it like a soup! I know it’s not supposed to be a soup but the broth was that good! The baguettes where tasty dunked into the broth and the fries were crispy and delicious with that thick batter on it that we love. The service was friendly and attentive. The view is really nice but only a small portion view of the beach. If you are in the pier park area looking for a local seafood lunch I definitely recommend this place over any of the touristy chains around.

It is a foggy day at the Pier. To access the pier will cost 3 dollar for each person. Nop… I would rather spend my time with Hook. Hook sits next to the Pier. We picked the outdoor seating overlooks the Gulf and pier. Atmosphere is great for visitors after shopping at Pier Market across the street. Have a glass of wine with a soft breeze from the Gulf, life is a beach. This is our first visit. We ordered one glass house white and one draft Yuengling beer cost total 8 dollars. Both indoor and outdoor seating have view of the water and it is very cozy for either quick bite of food or just a drink to relax. Wi-Fi is available and there is access to the beach right next to the restaurant. Convenience! Highly recommended spot to visit.
