I rode the Harley today 2 hours to eat here. Good food but disappointed. I enter led the place. Appeared clean and inviting. Very open. Inwas seated promptly. It was bench style seating around the performer’s stage. Brianna was my server. She asked if i wanted something to drink. I ordered an original brew. She then made a recommendation. I ordered brat platter. At that time i ordered a second beer. I got my food. It was really good. No beer though. Not once did Brianna come over and ask if i was okay. In fact she disappeared. People that were seated outside still were waiting to be greeted by her. The manager couldn’t even locate her. They came in twice before leaving. She finally appeared and seemed to be wandering around the place but really wasnt doing anything. Another table had been waiting for their check to be completed for a while. She came over and apologized to them. She then came to me and apologized. Still no beer. She handed me my bill without even asking if i wanted anything else. I wanted the struddel but figured, forget it. I paid and left a note on the sales slip. I then left without looking back. The polka player was entertaining.

Great happy hour special — two for one .5 liter beer, Monday — Friday. Also very good pretzels.

Overall not bad. The beer was great and so was the ambience with the accordion player and the waitresses in beer girl outfits. The scnichtzel was over cooked but the kids mac n cheese was good. The rueben rolls were outstanding. Overall, I think it was over priced for what we received.

Located in the lovely and lively Pier Park, there’s a place that can send you to another time and place. Hofbraü House is a wonderful edition to the landscape in this shopping hub. Start with the potato pancakes. Great way to kick off a meal in German style. I like to follow it up with the spätzle or the schnitzel. Both are HUGE(enough to the share) and so flavorful. Haven’t had a thing from the menu that I don’t like yet. The beer selection is lovely. You can also order a flat and sample what’s on the menu. They also have specials on beers nearly every night of the week. Free beer on Friday! The service was just okay. Several mistakes, but she was sweet and apologetic. It’s a place we never fail to hit when we’re visiting Panama City beach! If you’re looking for a little something different you’ve found your place!

Awesome BEER. Gets very busy and service can be slow. Yet, I still go back and get the schnitzel sandwich(huge) and some dunkle.

I try to be enthusiastic about german food but I honestly don’t enjoy it. The atmosphere here was cute. Even the waitress was dressed in costume. They offer half price beers on thurs and all you can eat fish fry on wed.

Good food, good beer, and good friends. What more can you ask for. The staff has always been friendly, sometimes it does take a while to get service, but you can see that the staff is always moving and doing their best. The entertainment can be goofy, but it’s fun and light hearted. The manager is always out and talking, they make you feel at home.

Worst service!!! 1. Waitress forgot half the order. So mother-in-law didn’t get food until everyone was done. 2. No one checked on the table for refills or if anything else was needed. 3. Lame apology at the end. 4. I have done two tours in Germany and I understand that it’s unlikely to test the same but the jäger schnitzel was horrible… Bland and over fried. Don’t waste your time here. Between the poor customer service and the less than acceptable meal the only highlight was the fountain in the back.

Absolute disappointment. This franchise does not carry on the corporate image. Service was OK at best. They do not serve wienerschnitzel. Really? Sauces were brought out in single serving Heinz containers. Don’t let this location keep you from trying others!

I absolutely loved this place. Something different in the land of deep fried seafood! I had the sausage platter which was absolutely wonderful! I also had one of the beers which I really really liked also. Service was fast and friendly and all and all it was a great experience.

I had the Jaegerschnitzel and Weizen beer .It was very delicious. It is authentic German food. We also ordered the pretzel with chesse as a appetizer which is a must and goes good with the beer. The side salad was just ok. wouldnt get that anymore.

Disappointing! We ordered the pretzel with beer cheese. The pretzel was strangely undersalted. However, the biggest disappointment was the beer cheese. It was a dollop the size of a gum ball! I actually called the waitress over because I was sure that this wasn’t «beer cheese.» She confirmed that it was. Every time I’ve had beer cheese at other establishments, it was a warm, gooey dip! This was a tiny spoonful of cold cheese spread. The portion was laughable. The mustard that was served with it was delicious. However, you can get the pretzel with mustard for $ 8.95. To add the«beer cheese» the cost goes to $ 11.95. So you pay 3 dollars for a quarter sized dollop of cheese. Waaaaaay overpriced, and the flavor wasn’t even good. The tables inside are long, cafeteria style tables which I love. The beer was delicious. I wish the music could have been traditional German music– it would have really added to the atmosphere. The servers were friendly. They were dressed in traditional German garb. But if your staff wears lederhosen, and N’SYNC is playing LOUDLY overhead, it kind of seems silly. We didn’t go on to order any entrees because of our disappointment with the appetizer. Overpriced and under-flavored. Overall, this place has a lot of potential. Go here for the beer, eat dinner somewhere else.

I want to be honest with you. I didn’t go to the beer garden for the food. Now that I’ve come clean, let me say that I had a blast at HB. The liter of Maibock was *maybe* too much to handle but my lord was it yummy. Service was great(shout out to Olivia!), met some hilariously awesome locals there, and enjoyed some good beer. Will go back next time I’m in PCB.

This is a German themed restaurant/pub that lacks authenticity but an A for effort. We stopped by here for a few appetizers and a couple of beers. Ordered the sauerkraut cakes and waffle fries nachos. The food here is decent, but a bit pricey in my opinion for what the place is. By no means will you be singing Ein Prosit with a real German beer and braut, but it may satisfy a fix. They also have a German Polka duet on certain nights of the week.

4 of us sat at the bar and ignored. Service sucks. Bartenders have a terrible attitude. One round and we left . Won’t come back here.

I recommend starting with the beer flight so you can find which beer fits your taste. The flight has 6 beers to choose from. I settled on the Marzen. Beer is brewed on site and you can definitely taste the freshness. We didn’t order entrees; just appetizers. The Bavarian nachos were ok but the Reuben rolls were awesome! I think both were specials so they may not always be available. The feeble attempts at Bavarian music and dress is rather obnoxious. Maybe that’s why the bartenders were in such a bad mood. Service was awful. This place is a mixed bag. The atmosphere is contrived and service is lacking. But, really, you go there for the beer and the beer doesn’t let you down. It never does…

First off, they have massive beers! Threes beers in one and a nice German selection. The menu is really good, classic German items like beer cheese soup, potato pancakes and schnitzel. I tried the schnitzel and it was damn good and filling for $ 15. The staff is friendly and I love their outfits! They have long table style seating and a stage for occasional live music. There’s also an outdoor beer garden out back as well as some seating out front on a nice day to people watch.

I had never been in a German style restaurant before and never had eaten German food so this was a pleasant surprise. The first night we got to Panama City Beach and we were staying nearby and we decided to go out for something to eat. We spotted this place and gave it a try and we were glad that we did. The first night I tried some kind of curried sausage and had a pint beer and both were so good, I wanted to come right back and so the following afternoon we did! The next day I had some fancy meal which while I do not know what it was, it was excellent and had a couple of pints of beer. The food is top quality, the beer is tasty and the atmosphere is great! If you are looking for a place to eat that is a little different, then give Hofbrau a try, you will not be disappointed!

I have been to the original Hobraühaus in München, Germany so I was excited to come here for the novelty and nostalgia. While the original is obviously much bigger with larger live musical performances, the décor is reminiscent of that in München and I can still really appreciate the nice girl happily playing the accordion(very well) while we ate. In Germany, I had the HB brat plate and in PCB, I ordered the Käsespätzle with added grilled chicken, so I can’t compare the dishes. The spätzle was wonderfully cheesy with a pleasing texture. I normally don’t care for grilled chicken at restaurants(fried for me!) but the chicken was moist and flavorful. It came with 2 onion rings on top which I also liked for a crunch. The boyfriend ordered a döner kebab which came with a warm German potato salad, both of which he enjoyed. We also got liter mugs of German beers for fun! Prices weren’t bad at all. The waitresses were having fun dancing around and there is a nice outdoor seating area. There are long tables to accommodate large parties or to sit next to a party of your favorite strangers(which I think can be fun!) While this wasn’t Germany, it sure did take me back. Thank you!

I enjoyed the whole place. We came in just for a beer and was able to try the potato dumpling. I really liked the gravy that it came with. We also had the house beer and it was pretty good. I liked the atmosphere and the location was perfect for us. Next time, I will make it a point to try some more stuff.
