I give this place zero stars if I could. I came here when I was in the area, thinking it would be similar to the Frankfort location. I was sadly mistaken. I waited over ten minutes for the waitress to come take our drink order, some skinny chick with long hair. We went in on a Sunday at noon and while the bar was crowded, there was only one other couple in the dining area. First of all, the tables weren’t even properly set up, ours has no tablecloth on it. We should have left right when we walked in, that’s how gross and run down the place looks. I honestly have no idea how they are still in business. Anyways, we had to ask another waitress who was setting up tables if we could order. I’m not kidding, our chips and salsa took nearly a HALFHOUR to come out! Once again, there was only two other people in the place. The waitress was awful, barely came back to our table yet found the time to socialize with a group of guys who had come in long after us. The pizza was just okay and the other food we had was not even worth mentioning. Don’t ever go to this place. I am shocked this place is not closed down because with their awful service and crappy food, I have no idea why anyone would be a regular at this place.

Ordered delivery, Italian beef and garlic bread. I still cannot believe I paid 3 $ for a moist piece of bread that only smelled of garlic. The Italian beef was not good either, the bun tasted like plastic to be honest and it all could’ve used more juice. I would only recommend this place to my high school math teacher, so she could scare them straight also because I hate her.

My most recent visit consisted of terrible karaōke, underage girls snorting cocaine in the bathroom, and underwear in garbage of the women’s bathroom. Nothing like Durbins I used to know.

They never fail to disappoint me. Either the delivery guy got lost again after hours of waiting or they forgot my order all together. Then when i do finally get a pizza from this place is cold or taste like crap. Forget this place go to durbins on 79th or dont go at all. Disappointed again

Reasonable prices and pretty good food. We ordered carry out and the food was ready pretty quick. Their coleslaw is absolutely delicious, sweet and creamy. As always their spinach and artichoke dip was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely order from here again.

Just order from there for the first and last time. First the driver gets lost even though I live down the street from the place and then he proceeds to tell me that I don’t know where I live. Then he takes the pizza back and calls me to tell me I have to come get it. So I go get it and the lady tells me that my total was more than what she told me on the phone. It went from 20 to 26.87. I told her isn’t it half price on Monday and she says not every Monday and I couldn’t have my 2 liter that you get with the pizza because they don’t do that on Mondays either. Always would go to the durbins in burbank even though I live in palos and I guess I’m going to have to start back going there cause they cheat and try to rip you off at the palos location. Left and got pizza from somewhere else.

If you like polite, curteous and somewhat reasonably quick service. …THISISNOTTHEPLACE! BADSERVICE. The older female manager there that was there during the week(7pm-ish) horrible customer service skills. She was approached about a minor issue(not food) and she basically thought i was making up the stuff(1 beer in my system all day at this point). Waitress had to be requested by me 3 times for assistance. At this point this place was dead. I had to approach the bar with that old wicked witch of the midwest in order to get the waitress to come over. I order out from this place so i guess this is a good thing because at least they dont know how you look or the service would be the same… terrible! !

My family friends and I have been coming here for many years … PHENOMENAL!!! The staff is very friendly especially the manager Kathy has been here forever and she has seen lots and all types of employees and she knows how to run a business and make it succeed, I’d like to say she’s a tough cookie which is what most businesses need. In the past month we have been blessed with an AMAZINGWAITRESS«NICOLE» she is super professional and is an asset to this place. I will follow Nicole anywhere she works here now or in the future because she is a true professional and kind hearted and really cares. I am very picky where I patronize businesses since I enjoy the finest dining to the locals. Also it usually takes a lot for me to write a review, all I have to say is visit Durbins in Palos Hills, Awesome new and improved menu and staff. Try the tomato bread, the rib eye steak and awesome pizza and all the menu and ask for Nicole, THE Best!!! Thanks

If you like televised sports, smoke, and a decent pizza, then this place is right up your alley. The beer garden is open air windows in the summer and closed windows and heated in the winter. What’s the problem?

Stopped by for a couple slices of pie. They have the carry-out side and that is where I went. the service was quick and the sausage slices were good. But they are winter weight. A little too heavy with the thick crust for warm weather. I be back in the fall when I’m getting ready for hibernation.

If you smoke this place would be tolerable, because you wouldn’t be able to smell the butt cauldron sitting right by the front door when you go in. It was disgusting. After I got in I couldn’t figure out where the smell was coming from, then I realized there was a smoking room that is basically a «sealed» off patio that would make a hillbilly shake their head in wonder, and my family is from Tennessee. I was with a large group and had to sit a few yards away from the access hatch for this little wonder of skirting around smoking laws, and it was very uncomfortable. We had pizzas and pop, the pizza was doughy and had good sausage on it. The waitress we had was really nice and attentive. The bathrooms needed a good power washing. The restaurant had an old smokers haven smell to it, I heard it had been a bar before, they apparently spared no expense cleaning it up. In retrospect I’m glad they didn’t give out tours of the kitchen.

Have not had the pizza, which I’ve «heard» is good but did go for a Friday fish fry and was thoroughly disappointed. Both my wife and I got the all you can eat fish and left after one plate. It was soggy, the batter was dripping with oil, and when we alerted the waitress that our food may not be completely cooked, she responded with, «thats the way the cooks make it, do you want me to tell them otherwise?» Are you kidding me?! I just told you that I wasn’t happy with my food and you’re essentially telling me that«it is what it is» without offering to it right. I can’t believe they have multiple locations, hopefully the others are what’s keeping this one afloat. Again, I’d give it a 1 star review but since I’ve heard nothing but good things about the pizza, I’ll give it 2. That being said, I’ll never order the pizza after my experience here. I literally felt like I was inconveniencing the waitstaff by expressing my displeasure.

Only reason this place got 3 stars is because the pizza is good. We dined in on a Thursday evening to watch the Bears game. Service was slow even before the game started and bartender looked pissed off that she had to work. Didn’t bother telling us that there was a game special $ 25 drinks and food buffet. We ordered a bucket, chips and salsa, and a sausage pizza. The pizza was really good, the chips and salsa were crap, stale. What I couldn’t get over was the disgusting smell of the whole place. you could still smell the smoke from the old after hours bar Henrys. REMODEL! Clean! I was repulsed when I smelled the nasty on my clothes the next day too. Would NEVER go back to eat there, but would definitely do deliver for pizza.

Here is the message that I sent to them(I included a picture of the pathetic sandwich as well as a screen shot from their online menu’s description of the sandwich): «Last night my family and I ordered food from your restaurant– to the tune of $ 31 + delivery tip. The only thing we ordered that tasted good was the burger. That was pretty good though I asked for it medium and it was more medium well. Other than that everything was pretty bad. The chicken fingers were like rocks and the fries were mushy and unappetizing. The biggest slam though was that we ordered a ham & swiss cheese sandwich „Sliced Thin & Piled High on Rye Bread“ that came looking pretty thin and on white bread. I can’t believe I paid 6+ dollars for an incredibly bland sandwich that belonged in a kid’s brown bag lunch. It was a very, very disappointing dinner.» I was prepared never to eat there again ever but I remembered that I had bought a livingsocial deal that was soon expiring so I went and dined in with my son hoping things would be better. They were a little better. The waitress(the owner’s daughter, perhaps?) was very nice. The food was again pretty blah. It wasn’t worth it to complain on the spot because I didn’t want to wait for something else to be made but the chicken parm was not good. The chicken was basically a chicken finger. The breading on the outside was incredibly hard but the chicken on the inside, while not pink, could have cooked longer. Turn down the temp on your fryers maybe? The pasta was overcooked which is pretty pathetic for a place that’s selling Italian food. Their response to the original complaint was non-existent for weeks… then finally after I sent about 8 messages/facebook comments, they told me to come in. Uh no. It was delivery. I’m not going to come in… that’s the whole point of delivery.

Water down drinks. They are serving patron shots with sadva vodka. Never have crown because they can’t fake it. Even with specials you get bottom rail.

Only chose one star because i didnt have the option to go negative. ordered a pizza delivery from this place, gave my credit card over the phone.(I know for a fact) Once the delivery man arrived, he said he had no cc info for me. That same lady called me back and ARGUED with me about it, she was extremely rude. I said I’d give the cc to her again, but I hope I don’t see a double charge on my cc statement. Well, guess what? They ended up DOUBLECHARGINGME– i called back a couple of times to get it straightened out, each time I was told the manager would call me back. Never happened. Bottom line: Rude service Scams your money Doesn’t care to fix the problem. Lesson learned– I will NEVER order from here again– and will be very vocal about it.

TACOTUESDAY! That’s my next stop my next visit home! Close to my parent’s house, the food is great, the food is inexpensive, and the staff is super friendly. When it was Henry’s, I was not a big fan.

My friend met me at the airport and on our way back home, we called in a pizza order at Durbin’s for pick-up. Now I’m not the biggest fan of Chicago deep-dish pizza. I’m a West Coaster to the core, and when it comes to pizza, I prefer a thinner crust. But when in Rome – or Chicago, as the case may be – I indulge in this heartier pizza. We ordered a deep-dish pizza with spinach and mushrooms. This pizza weighed a ton! It was definitely packed with dough, cheese and sauce. The toppings were plentiful – though not the tastiest. I think I’m spoiled by the bucketloads of fresh spinach available at home in the salad bowl of the United States in central California. I just found the spinach to be a little bland. The mushrooms were flavorful though, a welcome change from most pizza shops where you get cardboard mushrooms. The pizza wasn’t exactly the most gourmet you’ll find, but for a quick takeaway dinner after a day of traveling, I wasn’t about to be picky.

At one time this place was known as Henry’s. It was a seedy hole in the wall that was always packed with regulars. It used to be a place where you could go and have a drink and jaw with the bartenders who tended to be like your mom if your mom was a barfly that said cripes all the time. A while back they were sold and became Durbins. They initially tried to make it a dance place but that went over like a lead balloon. Last week when I was in there, they are trying to be more of a pizza joint than a bar. They have a full bar. No dancing was evident as even though it was a saturday night, only about a dozen people were in the place. My freind and I had a quesadilla followed by pizza. Quesadilla was very good, they didin’t skimp on the fillings and the chicken was actually tasty as opposed to the sometimes rubbery chicken you get in some place. Pizza was a very good thin crust variety, loaded with toppings and very good. Took one star away for slow service and the flat beer.
