Jelena V Vukicevic, MD

Dr. Jelena Vukicevic has been a doctor for both of my daughters, 7 years and 2 years of age. If I could give her 10 stars I would because she is an amazing and caring Doctor. I opted out of 100% insurance coverage for less coverage and more out of pocket coverage just to have her in network for my kids. I wish there is more doctors like her.

I can’t imagine why it’s taken so long for me to write a review — Dr. V has been my son’s doctor since he was born, 5 weeks early, in 1997!
Dr. V, has been wonderful all these years. In the beginning we had some scary times, but while she always listened to us, she addressed our concerns in way that made us worry much less — we just knew everything was going to be OK.
As my son grew, she adjusted to his growing up with ease. She made him feel comfortable and was protective of his privacy. Even while I was in the room, she managed to keep him from feeling like Mom was seeing too much. Which developed his trust in her. Of course, it didn’t hurt that she also always took great care of him, and her nurses have been wonderful as well.
Now, at 16, my son still sees her — and is comfortable discussing things with her that he doesn’t want to discuss with his parents. And I am comfortable too, knowing that whatever they discuss, I can trust her advice to be honest and true.
It has also been helpful to be able to call and speak to a nurse before making an appt. — sometimes they can help you over the phone, and you don’t have to go in. This was especially helpful when I was a new mom and worried about anything odd.

A long time friend insisted I sign my yet to be born baby up for pediatric care with Dr Vukicevic. Shortly after I took her advise and called Dr V offices and did thR necessary admin work so my baby would have a Doc when he arrived in this world. Then I received a personal call from Dr V introducing herself and letting me know what to expect. I was impressed and my baby hadn’t even been born. Dr V is so knowledgeable and translates information to her patients well. I am a first time mom and she educates me on baby care nutrition development socialization. She had an advise nurse who is always available to answer mommy questions or concerns and she (Dr V) even had called me on a Saturday morning to discuss something about my baby. Dr V cares about her patients and that is evidence by her passion to ensure her patients are well cared for and their health is her paramount concern. She has great intuition and really knows babies well. I’ve been to a lot of Docs in my life and have yet to meet one that is as wonderful as Dr Helena Vukicevic. You and your baby are in the most capable care possible with Dr V of Welch Road Pediatrics. I am indebted to my friend for introducing me to Dr V.
