Hilton Garden Inn Palo Alto

Absolutely loved the hotel. Fantastic rooms, they were huge, very clean, had everything you could possibly want in terms of toiletries and amenities like a microwave over, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron and table, etc.
They have a gym, an internet café with 4 computers and printers and a pantry from which you can purchase snacks, medicines and toiletries. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly.
The only thing I found odd about the hotel was that breakfast isn’t included in the cost of the room. For the prices they charge, it would be nice to just include the breakfast in the cost of the room rather than presenting everyone with a bill of $ 15 in the mornings when you’re halfway through your omelette. That said, the breakfast buffet is excellent with lots of options in terms of fruit, juices, cakes, scones, croissants, eggs, bacon, sausages, etc.
I would definitely recommend staying here and would probably pick it the next time I’m in Palo Alto as well.

I made reservations for 3 nights with Hilton. I must say my experience wasn’t the best. The appearance of the hotel is great and staff is friendly. Unfortunately, I kept getting calls from the front desk because of my neighbors. I must say these walls are extremely thin, if they were able to hear my cell phone alarm (it was not high).I also received calls because of my toddler. «He was too loud.». Overall again I wish I would of had an easier first two nights. We are a family of 4 and was looking for some comfort. I would of liked a better stay here. I do not recommend it this hotel for families. Walls are extremely thin. I spoke with front desk right now before I left gal is sweet but wasn’t too helpful. Good luck to those to stay here.

Vary nice place. I would recommend this to any one looking for a great place to stay In Town. Rooms clean and comfortable big showers great simple parking friendly staff.

I have since stayed at this property many, many times and it is one of the best Hilton properties I’ve stayed in!

The hotel is very clean and in like-​new condition. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is available beneath the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located for access to 101 and Stanford University. I would stay here again.

Warning: The walls are thin! I could hear the conversation from the room next door a man had on his speakerphone. Most annoying part was the man started his conversation at 6:30 in the morning so I ended up waking up and not going back sleep, since he spoke for 45 minutes!
The positives were the hotel staff are nice and the free, hot welcome cookies were delicious.

I had a short-​notice trip to this area and shopped around a bit. The price for this hotel seemed reasonable; there was not a significant savings even if one stepped down to a really budget motel level, and some of the hotels in the heart of Palo Alto were literally 2x to 4x the price of this place. So I opted to stay here.
No real complaints. The room was clean and comfortable. Check-​in was quick and courteous. One of the elevators was out of service for the first day so that involved hiking down 3 hallways to the opposite end of the building, but it wasn’t a big deal; it was fixed the 2^nd day. Access to 101 was fairly easy — a direct shot down W. Charleston Road, which was just a block away. WiFi seemed fine, and was included at no extra charge. There was no breakfast included, though.
Parking is in a 2-​level underground garage beneath the hotel.
If you are staying here to access downtown Palo Alto or Standford University, you have a less-​than-​five-​minute drive to get there, but neither is not (conveniently) walk-​able from the hotel. Then again, given the price differential, a short drive is a bargain in this case.
I would consider staying here again if I were in the area.

This place is the greatest… they offer FREE breakfast every morning which saved us $. I love it here… I will be back.

Clean, spacious. Nothing unexpectedly wonderful, but nothing unexpectedly off, either. Easy parking, clean room, nice outdoor patio (blocked off from the traffic visually but still sounds like you are in the main road, which you are). Very relaxing. Wish the restaurant had longer hours and more versatile room service, which is limited in menu and hours.

Overall a very good hotel. The whole place looks very new and is in good clean condition. Had no problem finding parking in the hotel’s underground garage.
The breakfast is very minimalist but I found everything I wanted — eggs, bacon, potato, etc. They have a self-​service waffle maker that’s really neat. The coffee was good but I hate the paper cups that they make you use. There’s just something wrong about drinking coffee in a restaurant out of a paper cup. They should offer mugs.
One day I came for desert and had the chocolate cake. It was terrible. It clearly wasn’t fresh or made there. Tasted like something they bought a week ago at Costco and had sitting on the shelf getting stale.
Unfortunately I was given a room with a terrible view of a back alley, and even worse, my room was right next to the fitness area. Having fitness equipment is good. Having free weights is not good. The first night, I was constantly disturbed by people dropping the weights which was so loud it shook my whole room. If I stay here again, I will be sure to get a room that’s no where near the fitness area. They should eliminate the free weights from the fitness area. If someone really can’t go for a few days without lifting weights then they can go to a local gym and work out there.
A few minor cosmetic issues with the room. Two of the overhead lights were wrapped in a plastic film that says «remove before using». Two of the wall decorations were chipped in the corners. Other than that, the room was in fine condition. The room was very spacious with furniture. Bed was very comfortable.
The Internet connectivity was extremely lacking. There was no in-​room ethernet connection, only wifi. The complimentary wifi was slower than 1mbps and you had to pay for anything faster. My home wifi goes over 100mbps, so I’m not sure how they managed to slow it down to less than 1mbps.

We stayed here recently, great location! The hotel is clean, comfortable, and has modern décor. Had breakfast in their restaurant and it was sooooooooo good! Served by Chef Bryan — service with a smile, and AWESOME food! It was even presented beautifully. We will definitely be back! 5 stars +

Great new place! I stayed on this hotel’s second «official» day that it was open and my experience was fantastic. For starters, everything is brand spanking new which is always a plus. The rooms, spacious. Beds and pillows, comfy. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, from the front desk to the room service. I was coming off of a long flight and needed food so I ordered the garden quesadillas to my room which happened to be really good. About 15 minutes after I received it I received the nicest call asking how everything was. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!
