Came here for lunch with family. My husband and I split a burger and fries, and they definitely loaded up on the fries and the burger was also huge. We also got kiddie cones dipped in sprinkles and those were way good too! And big. We’ll prob be back tomorrow for more ice cream!

Love their kiddie cone. It’s huge. Also love the hot dogs and waffle fries. It’s all good. Wish I lived closer. I’d be there all of the time.

Worth the stop! Tons of flavors. We got the kiddie which comes with 2 flavors and 3 scoops and it is huge! The flavors were super yummy! It only costs $ 3 for a kiddie cone.

There are no words for Chill and Grill… do you love mammoth amounts of ice cream? Always order a «half kiddie» as traditional«small, medium and large» will have you eating for a week! They also have great grill items– again, HUGE hamburgers and their onion rings are delicious! Just a great local establishment that everyone loves going to. I know my family loves to go there when they come in from out of town!

I would avoid this place at almost all costs if you can. I would rather have a tuna sandwich from our local gas station than go here again. They only take cash. I feel no excuse as square readers are so cheap and easy and plentifully available. If you have to go here for some reason I recommend the junk plate as you get a lot of food for the best value. Can be split between 2 – 3 people and fill you up. I split with one person and we came in very hungry and left full and with a bit left. I really wish we would have gone elsewhere. I don’t mind many decisions about the trip being made but I wish the food choices were better, healthier and not junk all the time which is not any cheaper. Splitting a chipotle for example is cheaper than any fast food meal like Wendy’s or McDs We waited in line probably 30 minutes and then were told The wait for food would be 40 minutes. The food options are minimal which is good for making faster choices. I was also given a takeout menu when I asked which was a plus so I could decide ahead of time and the order area was so small. The entire time I was there all I wanted was a cup of water. But I was denied more than once. They said they have it outside but of course it was empty and they«didn’t have time» to fill it so I asked to fill my cup. And in the time she spent telling me why she wouldn’t do it she could have filled four cups. Also while she got a person in our group her takeout container she walked by the jug and I think where water was filled too. Pretty disgusted by that as I have to take medicine and am pretty severely dehydrated. They also don’t have bathrooms. Yeah I’d like to know what happens when someone has medical issues or digestive problems. I could have sworn eateries had to have some facility by law which is why I have seen places have porta potties and say because they are required by law to have a bathroom. They also seem severely understaffed. The person taking orders and taking money then goes to get ice cream seemingly without washing hands. We have someone in our group whose family owns an ice cream place and she said they are supposed to wash after handling money and she didn’t see them wash. I did at least see some napkins around the come being used. But have someone do orders and someone else get ice cream. And more people dealing with the food. Was surprised they bring food out to people rather than call them and have them come get it. Seemed to take extra worker time but maybe better than people running up. Also no napkins I could find anywhere. And my friend said they are like this other times of the year too not just during busy pageant season. So always understaffed It would seem. I also got attitude more than once from 1 – 2 workers. The one bringing out the food and menu was pleasant enough. But one taking order and denying water seemed to be intolerant asking the details of the junk plate almost like barely stifling eye rolling. Like where they aren’t blatantly doing it like a 12 year old but are making no intention of it not being seen or hiding it or even holding it in. It’s definitely apparent. Just not as dramatic as it could be. And I probably would not have had the motivation to write this if I had gotten my gosh darn cup of water. Even if I weren’t a customer I don’t think it’s too much to ask as this is not the Sahara desert. But after spending $ 12 I feel that taking medicine to help me digest the grease and low to medium quality food I just ate is well within the limits of reasonable. You want some nice water? Can find it at the Joseph Smith farm visitor center and now the Book of Mormon printing press site. Free. No hassle. Just one family in front of me. Quenches the physical thirst as well as spiritual. God is great. God is good. Chill and Grill is neither good nor great. Thankfully you are not 50 miles away from civilization.

When it comes to ice cream and onion rings, this is the place to go. It’s closed in the winter, but when they open in the spring, there’s a line waiting for ice cream.

Ice cream servings are HUGE! Kiddie size is 3 large scoopsv but you can only pick two flavors with this size. It was tasty and the service great. They have covered outside seating on picnic tables. Of you like ice cream, then this is the place to go!

we ordered a burger, onion rings, fries and chicken fingers. there were about 4 other orders in front of us and we had to wait about 30 – 45 min to get our food. they take made to order quite literally. I think they fulfill an entire order before moving onto anything else(ie don’t see they need 10 total burgers grilling, etc). other than the wait, the food was pretty average at best. the onion rings were really good and the portions were huge! the sides are enough for 3 – 4 people. I felt bad wasting so much food… so don’t over order! we didn’t get a chance to try the ice cream. we had a half kiddie cone as part of a kids meal, but by the time we left, the wait was 20+ people out the door. would have hated waiting on food at that point!

If you’re looking for a generous portion of soft serve ice cream — look no further. A kiddie cone is HUGE. Seriously, you will want to ask for a bowl alongside the cone because eventually you may need it.

This place is simply AMAZING!!! The ice cream is the BEST you can possibly get!!! The burgers, hot dogs and all food they have there is simply delicious! This is a very small place and when the weather gets nice the line is usually out the door but its well worth the wait!!! They do not accept credit cards, CASHONLY and they DONOT have a restroom. Also, avoid this place the second and third weeks in July, this is when the Mormon pageant is in town and its always MOBBED! If you are looking for a treat, this is the place to go!

This is one of our favorite ice cream stops! We love their soft serve vanilla ice cream. Usually we get a kiddie cone, which is plenty — this place has a reputation for huge portions! Recently we purchased one of their cookie cakes(2 big chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle) for a birthday party. We thought it was very good — cost us a little over $ 11. Located on Rt 31, Palmyra.

Blech! Ordered cheeseburger which was very dry and onion rings were greasy. I asked for a cup of water but told they couldn’t give it to me, I had to buy bottled water. Didn’t get ice cream. Ice cream is probably good — just DON’T order food!

You will find that Chill-and-Grill is a well-kept secret located in the heart of Palmyra, New York. It’s a small, but charming ice cream lover’s paradise. Chill and Grill’s claim to fame is serving colossal sized ice cream cones at a very reasonable price. They also sell hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries and a myriad of other tasty finger foods. My personal favorite is the Chill and Grill MONSTERBURGER. It’s a full pound of seasoned ground beef, prepared fresh to order on a traditional flat grill, with your choice of toppings. Trust me, you won’t be asking«Where’s the Meat???» on this one. Chill and Grill is a great place to get a fresh and tasty roadside meal and a mountainous cone for any canal side traveler. The kitchen is only open until 8pm daily, so make sure to get there before the grill closes. You can satisfy your ice cream fix with a hot fudge sundae, banana split, vanilla malted milkshake or any other frozen concoction that they have to offer. If you’re touring the Erie canal trail, spending a day at Canandaigua or Seneca Lake, or maybe even visiting the Hill Cumorah Pageant this summer, stop by Chill and Grill, where you too will be asking, «THAT’S a SMALL???» Chill and Grill is Open March through September

The ice cream is crazy huge. I’m not exaggerating in the least either. I’m talking a kiddie cone is probably a large at other ice cream shops. The ice cream tastes good too — it’s not freezer burned like i occasionally find at other parlors. It may not be the most appealing on the eyes(the building I’m talking about), but definitely satisfies the taste buds and the wallet :)

If you’ve got a hankering to venture out Route 31, you’ll find an excellent Burger & Ice Cream Stand nestled in the heart of Palymra. Great food, and humongous helpings of ice cream make for a experience… I’ve heard that the lines get tres long in the summer, especially during Hill Cumorah. Still, worth a stop! Last time I was there I talked to folks who’d driven up from Ithaca to pay the Chill N’Grill a visit!
