Fantastic dinner with fantastic atmosphere and precious friends. The Thai Fry Hogfish was delicious. First visit but will be back soon. Our server, Adam, was outstanding.

Great find! Cute local spot. A little bit of a dive but with great, high quality seafood. All the food is good including the sushi. The Thai fry, hush puppies and grouper bites are all especially yummy. Amazing service too!

We ordered the tai Hog snapper. It was Fantastic. It’s hard to find that fish anywhere. One disappointment was they were out of clams!!! I was told the owner farms clams and supplies most of the local restaurants I guess he forgot to stock his own fridge. I will go back to get some clams

The Décor was kind of like a old bar. The services was great. Maybe it’s just what I order. But the sushi was ok. Wouldn’t order that again. Never knew Mexican roll to have shredded carrots in it. The fish my husband order was bland no flavor. He got the halibut panko crust. The steam clams were perfect. The peanut butter pie was very good. The server was great and the manger was very helpful. Would definitely go back try something else.

I have been looking for a good sushi place since I moved to Bradenton a year ago, I’m very critical and picky when it comes to sushi but the sushi here is so good, tastes fresh, great presentation, delicious rolls, I will be back very soon

Finally made to the Clam House. Been hearing about this place since I moved here last summer. OMG! This is the best seafood I’ve had in this town! The ambiance is perfect with outdoor and indoor seating with Tiki bar/fish house décor. I had the fried platter and it was … Fantastic! Can’t wait to come back and try the Thai Fry!

Went to the Clam House last night with spouse and friends. The place is very casual and the crowd was quite mixed. We all tried something different on the menu and I had the blackened grouper. The food was well-prepared and everyone was pleased with their meal. Key lime and chocolate cake for dessert topped off the meal. I’ll definitely be back.

I have lived in Bradenton for 1 ½ years now and have wanted to try this place since I moved here. I finally went and it is now my favorite restaurant and am counting the days until I can go back! I had the blackened red fish, grits and hush puppies. Now, I LOVE hush puppies and have always thought Star Fish has the best — I am very picky! — Clam houses were fab– though would like to see them bigger. The grits were perfect and the fish was lightly blackened so that it did not overwhelm the flavor of the fresh fish… well, lets just I still dream about my entire meal. Our waiter Tom(HOT Italian!) was very knowledgeable and attentive and a true pleasure for us newbies. Thank you to the entire stuff. I’ll see you soon :-)

We brought a crowd of out-of-towners here following a Pittsburgh Pirates spring training game. No one left disappointed as far as food was concerned, although wait-staff seemed to be stretched as table service could be rated non-attentive.

We enjoyed sushi & various entrée, great professional & friendly service, very large but fragmented dining room, good beer & cocktail selection, limited off street parking

Well things changed. Walked in and stood at door for 5 awkward minutes with no one helping us. No sign, no one bothers to greet. Soooo we figured guess we’ll just sit in bar area since it’s apparently open seating. After 10 more minutes of no one approaching us I try to get two servers attention. Male server was especially troubled and actually made eye contact at least 3 times yet failed to bother stopping. Hey guy here’s a tip, when you see people sitting with no menus after 10 minutes politely trying to eventually wave you down that means something. So now 20 minutes in we get up and walk out.

Ate outdoors and split a Grouper Platter — did not disappoint. Very tasty fresh fish, abundant clams(tender and small — delicious), very fresh tomatoes and cuke salads. Very worth the visit.

Omg so delish and FRESH. Sushi. Seriously the seafood reminds me of the seafood in a local place in Mexico — like right off the boat fresh. Every time. This place is the only thing hip-happenin about palmaghetto(yes I live in this fine ass town). Even the waiter who tends to wait on me and my bf has a hipster haircut. Total Cool-A-Saurus Rex. Recommend going there, right meow.

I discovered this place a few years a go via Unilocal when visiting family in the area and have been back every time I’ve visited since. This place is rather unassuming, but it sure serves up some good eats. Great sushi and awesome mahi tacos. Seafood has always been fresh!

Had to give one star only because Unilocal requires one, but can’t rate the food because we could not try the restaurant. We showed up at 9:25pm on Wednesday night. «Sorry, the kitchen is closed.» I hate this with a passion! WECALLEDTHERESTAURANTBEFOREWEDROVEOVERANDCONFIRMEDTHEYWEREOPEN! Note to owner: suggest you check on your slackers at the door near closing time.

This is a dive but it has great clams and sushi! Who would have guessed? The service is very friendly and worth coming back to this place.

We continue to visit the Clam House with great results. We found out they harvest their own clams — and supply to other restaurants too. No wonder the clams are so good. And the sushi bar is one of the freshest sushi places going — won’t hesitate to order anything there. Love the cucumber salad and hush puppies. Love the fried clam strips. Love the Thai Fry. Just wish they were open on Sunday because that’s when we like to eat out but hey, I know everyone needs a day off.

We were really excited when the Clam House first opened. Finally, a restaurant on the north side of the river with a decent beer selection on tap! Their Thai fried mullet was the best thing on their menu. We went there regularly for the Thai Fried Mullet and a few beers. But, after a short while they were consistently ALWAYS out of mullet, but wanted to push some other fish for more money. Even during the fall and winter months I was repeatedly told by both the waiters and the owners that they could not get mullet. During the height of the mullet run season in one of the highest mullet producing counties in the state, and they can’t get mullet? Seriously? If they don’t want to serve mullet, they shouldn’t make excuses that its not available. They should take it off the menu if they want to serve something more expensive. The mullet was the only fish with a body thick enough to Thai fry and still have lots of tender meat inside. We tried the snapper and repeatedly the frying process didn’t leave much inside to eat. Too bad they stopped serving the Thai fried mullet, because that was one of the few items on their menu the Clam House had going for them. Their smoked fish spread was decent. I tried their sushi several times, hoping it would get better, and each time it was absolutely the worst interpretation of sushi I’ve ever experienced. If you want real sushi drive down to Vizen in Sarasota. These days the only reason to go to the Clam House would be for their draft beer selection(the only reason I gave them a two). If your looking for a noisy bar on the north side of the river with a good selection of draft beer, this is your place. If I get the urge for a good brew, I’ll just drive the extra half mile over the river to the Lost Kangaroo for a far better selection on tap. Good seafood… not so much.
