I would give 0 stars if possible. We have been a customer for 5 years. Not by choice bought a house with ostermans. Tank. We have just paid 2.94 a gallon(price of oil is way down btw). Was talking to a friend that lives within 2 miles of my house she paid 1.08 a gallon. How is this possible??? So I called to be greeted by the rudest manager who basically said too bad. No explanation that was true. Said it was a business rate. Really !!! It’s not a business it’s a house !!! And even if it was 2.5 times more. So trying to get answers we were told basically too bad !!! Well this is the first step … Warning others BBB step two … BEWARE !!! Terrible coustomer service … Unfair billing !!!

In response to your note back to me, I should point out a couple of things. Based on the information you are showing I used 600 Gallons of propane in 2014. However your sales department told me that in 2014 I used 973 gallons so the 600 number doesn’t fly. By Mid summer of this year, I had called to find out my balance(since I carry a credit with Osterman) I asked for the price of Propane. As is always the case, I was asked for my address first. Then they quoted me a price and finally asked if I wanted a delivery. Wouldn’t the price have dropped substantially if I wanted a delivery or not? As you state, Ultimately we were able to work out a price with your Pre-buy rate. This was only told to me however when I told customer service that when the tank was empty they could come get it and I would cease to be customer of Osternam. I have to wonder why in the 4 previous years this pre-buy rate was never mentioned. nor in the literature that I can get from the Osterman web site is this mentioned. I agree that the price in 2014 was High, but I stand by my initial review.
