My husband, two sons and myself went to this restaurant last night. We noted it was crowded and the line was long, but it didn’t take long with those odds before we ordered and took a seat. The wait wasn’t long either. My husband got the number two, the double char burger I believe is what it was. He loved it. It looks small when you see it first, but it’s quite filling. I ordered the tri tip sandwich and although it had little meat to it, it was good. The pricing isn’t too bad for the quality food you get. My son got the grilled cheese. It filled him right up and he enjoyed it. Over all we enjoyed this place very much. Its a very straight to the point burger/sandwich joint and the menu isn’t cluttered with a bunch of nonesense. We will definitely be stopping by again!

I really like their burgers and sweet potato fries. It’s always packed each time we go which is great for their business but I wish they had more seating. There have been many times we just order it to go because we aren’t sure if we will get a table. Overall good has always been perfect!

The Habit is A-OK, however i’m not going to make it a habit. I have seen The Habit burger joints in various cities and never tried one. My wife and I were doing some shopping in Palmdale and became hungry, so we check Unilocal for a burger place. Being Sunday our first choice was closed, second choice we decided on The Habit. I can’t really say to much about this place. It was crowded, service was quick and robotic like, food was fresh. In my opinion it tasted like a less processed In-N-Out. To my wife it tasted like a inferior In-N-out. Fries were average, overall an average place. For some reason I though it was going to be a bit more gourmet, kinda like a Eureka Burger, but it wasn’t. I think there are lots of other burger places to try before ill go back to The Habit.

Beware, Food Posioning !! Yesterday I was Bakersfield and decided to try this was around 7pm when I placed my order meal #1 single charburger. They didn’t have American cheese only Swiss cheese so I said ok and no onion rings just regular fries and we said ok again. Taste was good then on my way home I had to pull over to vomit and then that night I started to have heavy cramping. started to get all the symthoms of food poisoning. I feel horrible! Never again will I eat here.

I’d heard a lot about the habit and was excited to try it. Service at this location was friendly and helpful but very slow and time consuming. Got home with my food and had about a 12 inch strand of hair in between my cheese and patties. Tried to call to complain and had to jump through bunch of hoops and call centers just to have my call returned by the store manager another day, which has yet to happen. Food tasted good before this ruined my appetite. That coupled with the bad experience I had in trying to get my order rectified, I won’t be returning to any Habit restaurant.

This place was packed for weeks when it first opened. The line went around the corner it was so popular. Not sure why… I mean it’s a good burger place but it;s nothing that great to wait hours to get into. The food is good and fresh but the prices are a little high. On the other hand, everywhere is starting to have high prices, The employees are nice and very hard working, They give you a device that vibrates when your food is ready so you can go to the counter to pick it up. Trendy place,

I gave a bad review a few months ago. However, things are sooooo much better these days. Service has always been good, the food was kinda greasy and thrown together on previous visits. They seemed to have learned to deal with the crowds and food is just as great as the other locations. Thank you!

1−24−16 Was my first visit. My wife was really looking forward to going. It was ok I prefer five guys but my wife doesn’t like the smell of the place. She really enjoyed the pleasant smell of the Habit. I didn’t like that the restaurant didn’t have significant seating

Great place for burgers and fries :) and this is a great location! Wish I got the name of the girl that helped us because she was great, went beyond in customer service. Cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a fast food restaurant!

Delicious! Executed in a timely manner. I had a Santa Barbara burger. And it was just the most delicious burger I have ever experienced!!! It is a must try. Their charburgers are great but with the Santa Barbara, you get the same meat patty, but you get it on a sliced sourdough and avocado!

It’s average for a burger joint. When my husband and I walked in, it was busy. 10 minutes later it was packed. Finding a seat was a challenge unless you want to sit outside in 90 degree weather. I don’t recommend it. While waiting for our order, it gave us plenty of time to find a seat in which to eat our lunch. About 5 minutes after finding our seat, we received the good news that our lunch was ready for us to pick up. They have one of those buzzer systems like they use at a higher end restaurant that goes off with lights and sound to let you know your food is ready for YOU to pick up. I ordered the #1 Charburger Meal which was cooked well done. This is a good thing, but wasn’t asked how I like mine cooked. However, I’m not a fan of lots of mayonnaise and Carmelized onions on my burgers. Too much fat/grease. The char flavor was good, but I can get that at In and Out Burger for less money. The fries were okay, a little too limp for me. I like mine crunchy on the outside. Self serve soda. My husband got the Santa Barbara Burger with sweet potato fries and a drink. They charge separately for each of those items, not offering a meal. This is disappointing. My husband loved the burger with avocado and cheese, but states he could get a double cheese at In and Out Burger for less. The sweet potato fries were good and cooked just right. For my money, I won’t be coming back. I’ll drive the same distance to In and Out Burger and be a happy customer, getting a burger cooked exactly my way.

Finally had a chance to try the Habit Burger Grill. I know there’s always a lot of buzz about new restaurants, but the buzz should be more about the food. I had the original char broiled double party combo and the burger was good. Is it worth standing in line for 20 — 30 minutes for… I think not. It’s good food, but average good. In my opinion, nothing to really write home about. Ironically enough, their burger menu is not as extensive as I thought it would be. They don’t even offer chili cheese burgers. Never the less, the quality is good and I would recommend it, if there’s no line. I do think Coach’s, BJ’s and Red Robin have a better burger. Just my two cents.

2nd time coming to the habit palmdale location. Not impressed man… The burger looked poopy. But tasted really good, per usual haha. Keep your game tight habbit palmdale. The first time coming to this location was a great experience. So I’ll give them 3 stars. Don’t serve sloppy burgers. That’s not what the habbit is all about. I know you guys are really busy. But keep it a habbit, not a Carl’s Jr…

First time trying habit, online ordering/takeout helped me skip a very long line at the counter. Very convenient. REGRETTABLY, gf’s Santa Barbara burger was OK(you can slip the mayo but no option not to butter the sourdough bread) but my burger was way too rare. Not safe, not cool. I’m sure habit burgers biz insurance wouldn’t appreciate under-cooked beef like this in this day and age. Kind of disappointed at grilling quality, even if you just opened up, bugs yes, but food safety is paramount. I shouldn’t have to worry about having to finish cooking your meat in my microwave… Check your food.

I just finished having lunch at the Habit. The Unilocal reviews seemed to be a little mixed so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Given that it is fairly new, I definitely anticipated some kinks. However, I was surprised by how well they operated, especially so early on. I ordered the Teriyaki burger with onion rings and my father ordered the Double Char cheese burger with fries. My father really enjoyed the Double Char but felt the fries were severely over salted. Although the Teriyaki burger was good, I feel it would have been better if I could actually taste teriyaki. It just seemed like a regular hamburger. The onion rings were a bit bland and the ranch was very watery. We both agreed the lettuce was soggy and stringy(presumably from the hot meat) but it wasn’t unbearable. Overall, I would have to say we enjoyed our meal here. I’ll have to give the Teriyaki burger another try and just make a request for extra teriyaki sauce. :P –UPDATE– 04÷27÷15 I have been a few times since my first review and I just wanted to say that ordering the teriyaki burger with extra teriyaki sauce is an excellent choice! Adds so much more flavor and is exactly how I imagined it would taste the first time.

Meh. I’m not in love with this place. I had eaten at the Habit in Ventura before and remember enjoying my food so when I learned that one was getting instituted in Palmdale I was excited. Like, super excited! I went against my instinct though, which is probably what lead to my disappointment. Ahi tuna sandwich was all I could think about and was the item I was most excited to try as I’d only ever had burgers before. My order was mentally planned out — salad with ahi tuna… or an ahi sandwich… but then I got distracted by the other menu items like the Santa Barbara Cobb. Next thing I know I’m using the online ordering system to get a lettuce wrapped charburger with sweet potato fries. Grabbing my order was easy enough, and there was a sense of mischievousness as I got to cruise past the high noon lunch line. I had to wait a few minutes for my fries, but I’m okay with that, because I’d rather have fresh fries than old/stale/icky fries. It wasn’t until I got back to my office that I saw that they carb-bombed me(no lettuce wrap) so I made lemonade out of lemons and took off half of the bun. The fries were good enough, but were mysteriously cold by the time I got back to my office… I watched the fries be taken out of the oil and then less than ten minutes later I was eating… so that was odd. Overall, my lunch was fine, but I’m sad that it was just«FINE» given as how excited I was for this place to finally open. Prices are right, food is decent, and they did a great job of making the restaurant look super spiffy(TONS of outdoor seating). I’m just not in love with it. Are my taste buds forever ruined by In-n-Out? I hope to write an update review giving a blazing five stars because of the magical magicalness of something else on the menu besides the burgers.
