A wonderful meal. I had the Shrimp Étouffée and Roy had a Shrimp Po Boy. Who would have thought you would find New Orleans in Palmdale, CA. Nicole, our server was the best. Sure wish we lived here because of the daily specials. We are full time motor home travelers.

Jambalaya Best ever. Ordered heat level 4(1 – 5). Understand he does some southern BBQ. Will try that next.

Food is super delicious no question ask!!! Boyfriend and I comes here almost every weekend! Boudin balls, jambalaya with shrimp and peach cobbler is just a perfect combo! Chef/owner is very friendly as well as his staff! I just wish they get a bigger place to accommodate all of the customers, other than that, this place is truly a hidden gem. Much LOVE

It would have been 5 stars had I not had to wait almost an hour for our food. Our server was great! The place is small but very cute. I would have liked to have had some good music playing in the background instead of my conversation echoing for all to hear and visa versa. I ordered Mikes Po boy and I could t eat it like a sandwich at all. It should have come in a bowl with a side of French bread since my sandwich got super soggy fast and fell apart from the start. It was spicy and tasted like curry and lacked salt. I spent 7.50 on sodas because all they had was in a can and no free refills racked up out bill pretty fast on a hot day… not cool. The Bbq wasn’t available for another hour(they should have had everything on their menu ready and available PRIOR to opening) but I should have ordered it either way since I had to wait for 2 sandwiches and a salad for an hour regardless. We ordered fries that came out cold. One order was garlic fries and it was basically raw garlic thrown on(not sautéed) so all in all they were cold and soggy. My husbands sandwich was GREAT! Wish I had ordered that instead. He had the The fat boy. We ordered boudin balls because the Mac n cheese with crab weren’t available(annoying) They were good but they give you THE smallest amount of «secret sauce». They shouldn’t have brought any out to begin with if that’s all you’re allowed. Literally 2 teaspoons. My friend ordered the salmon salad. She was happy with it. I tasted the salmon, it had good flavor. I realize they are a small business and I do actually believe they can be great. The comments above are me just wanting to let them know that even the little things can kill the over all experience obviously. This could easily become a regular for myself and I would recommend them to others as long as they *prepped to open BETTER *added some ambiance(MUSIC would help) *changed their drinks to fountain *got their food out quicker As far as food I know they have better things on the menu and if there was something I didn’t like, I know it could just be my own personal opinion and maybe others like those items on their menu. I just know what I don’t like now

Oh my goodness this place took me back to my honeymoon with the husband. It was like I was back in New Orleans. my only regret is that I did not get there in time for the bread pudding. Local is always better than chain and I can’t wait to go back on my next trip out to Palmdale.

One of my Favorite restaurants in Palmdale. Everything is always fresh and made to order. Everything I’ve tried has been so bomb! Their HoBo bags are only available on Saturdays. I wish they were available more than once a week but it makes it even more special that I get to only have it on Saturday. Haha I’ve also tried their shrimp po boys. So bomb! Shrimp is battered, seasons then fried. It seems so simple but full of so much flavor. Please make room for their beignets and don’t forget the pear sauce! I love this place. It’s a must have!

This place is amazing! The customer service is great! I can tell the owners really care. It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but everything I had tried on my previous visits was simply amazing!!! If you are looking for a great food place to go out here I highly recommend this place.

I got me a 1lb shrimp and I cannot believe how good it was. It’s better than the boiling crab. I got the crazy spicy and it was perfect spice. Boudin and Mac n cheese balls were delicious as well. Will be back. Oh and we are from Houston Texas and this is true cajun creole food

I would definitely visit here again, the food was really yummy and the service is tip-top. The place is incredibly small however which is why I couldn’t give it five stars, but that’s just my own dislike. It wasn’t quite cozy small because the ambiance wasn’t right for my kind of cozy feel but the smallness puts you pretty close to other customers that may or may not be very friendly. Luckily the one couple that chatted me up had been long time customers and raved about the place and told us all the things to try. I am from the east coast(Maryland) and seafood is a big deal over there, that being said I wasn’t entirely impressed with the flavoring and taste but it definitely is better than any other place in the area for seafood. I must say it did make me want to visit Louisiana to see what it’s really like there and try more authentic dishes from the region. All in all the place definitely deserves a visit and I will definitely go back from time to time to enjoy great service and good home cooked food.

Jambalaya is really tasty. The rice is really gummy and taste like it was overcooked. For the price I think it should’ve been a better quality.

My grandpa was born and raised in Louisiana and he sends me here for food at least twice a week, that should tell you that the cooks here know what they are doing! The staff is always really friendly and helpful and its always a pleasure to come in!

So after hearing all the buzz about this place I finally went in there to get some lunch. I ordered collard greens, red snapper, rice and beans and dirty rice. For my dessert I ordered the peach cobbler and banana pudding. Where do I begin with this failure of an expensive lunch with extremely small portions. I’m all about supporting mom and pop shop and black on businesses but I just have to call it as I see it The red snapper was fried, very thinly sliced and was greasy; each bite you got a squirt of grease in your mouth. Tasted like a fried piece of dough, you couldn’t even taste the fish let alone see the fish. It also lacked in Cajun flavoring. Collard greens … Just a disappointment… smh… you want real so Creole Soul food? You might have to pay a visit to New York City the best of the best Rice and beans were bland and tasteless… I’ve tasted better at Mexican restaurants… And I’m not a huge fan of Mexican food. Dirty rice was simply disgusting… It taste like, looked and smelled like cat food mixed with rice… Did not have any Cajun flavor at all… So disappointed and angry at that Peach cobbler had lots of great flavor! However lack the sauce and peaches and was dry. The dumplings or the dough part was excellent! The peaches and dough had the perfect flavoring… They just need to add sauce and perhaps more peaches so doesn’t taste like you’re eating just dough. Banana pudding was an excellent taste lots of delicious flavor in the custard. The crumb bottom was even deliciously flavored… However I was looking all over for the vanilla wafers and there weren’t any… I always thought banana pudding had vanilla wafers… It’s okay I would definitely buy it again because it was delicious I definitely think that the deserts are way overpriced tho Now I do understand that restaurants have to cater to the public… if you’re public is used to bland tasting food, than that’s what you have to serve them, which means you let up off the flavoring… I’m pretty sure that when this place first opened it was fantastic Please don’t let this review deter you from trying it at least… This is only my opinion you might think otherwise I mean it does have 4 ½ stars

I was in Palmdale for work, I live in LA, and I decided to explore and check out the scene. No offense, but even the locals I spoke to told me to go back to LA for more scene lol. But I thought maybe there’s some unique food here. I Unilocaled and found some good looking burger joints and taco joints but then this place came up and I thought why not. I was kinda fiending for a juicy burger or some sushi but I thought it would be cool to support a mom and pop joint. It’s kinda tucked away on a dark street, but aren’t the best places like that? I had no clue what to order but the ladies working there were so helpful. I was a jerk and I was like«What’s the most popular thing here?» And they told me. Then I was like«What’s your favorite dish?» And they told me, but I still ordered what I was planning on ordering anyway lol. I got the shrimp and meat Jambalaya and the crab mac n cheese balls. You can choose your spice level for the Jambalaya and they recommended two or three but I went for four cause yolo and they laughed at me but I know me. It was spicy but not like ramen house spicy but more like kick and flava. Yeah I wrote flava like that. Anyways, I took it to go because I had to get on back but I ate like half of it in my car like a homeless dude and the food kept till when I got back. It kept to the next day too. It was so flavaful. I ate up all the rice cause rice and flavuh go hand and hand. So I had to make more rice for the Jambalaya and it was like I got 5 meals for the price of 1. The mac n cheese balls were good. Pretty gooey. The Jambalaya though was really flavuhfulll. Like filled with flava so you full. Fillaflavafull. I copyrighted that don’t steal it. I never really knew what Jambalaya was about until I had it then. The ladies were so nice too. I forgot their names but they were helpful and made me feel welcome.

Third time here. I had the Louisiana Cajun Bowl, and it was also delicious. Short of going to Nawlins, this is darned good. And super nice people every time.

Wow, the most solid NOLA food I’ve had outside of The Big Easy in a while! Don’t get discouraged by the location or outward appearance, the warmth of the waitresses and the quality of the food is top notch! I can highly recommend the Shrimp and Crawfish Étouffée. Whoever is in the kitchen is doing something right! For a solid meal, great company, at an incredibly reasonable price, head here! Only negative I can say is the lack of beer to wash down the cajan zip!
