First off, I’m from San Francisco, and I don’t think people in Palmdale understand a good burrito! If you ever get a chance to visit, please try a super burrito from a taqueria in the mission! It will change your whole perspective of what is a good burrito! As far as the food here at Guadalajara, I ordered the wet burrito with chicken and red sauce. My husband ordered the chicken quesadilla and carne asada taco. My burrito was ok but the chicken did not taste right. It didn’t have the right seasoning you would expect for Mexican food. The beans were mushy white which was weird. The quesadilla was nothing special and the chicken was bland as well. The carne asada on the taco was horrible, I spit it out. Sorry but I could make this from home and better. I ordered horchata and it was watery(just made fresh). I’d rather go to Vallarta and buy my own ingredients then go back to this spot. The Cajun place next door seemed more popular during lunch, as more people were going there. I wish I would’ve gone there instead! We left with nothing really finished on our playes and very upset. I’ve lost hope for the AV and decent Mexican food!

I had to come here based on reviews. This place is in a not so great area so I likely wouldn’t come here after dark. We ordered 2 chicken burritos, one wet one regular, 2 chicken tacos and a cheese quesadilla plate for the kiddo. While waiting we got chips and salsa. The chips tasted out of a bag. But the salsas were really good. My burrito was ok. It was pretty bland because the rice and beans had no flavor. My husbands wet burrito was unreal with way more flavor than mine. The highlight of the trip was their chicken tacos. They’re made on homemade tortillas. And omg. So good! Tons of tasty chicken! The tacos are reason enough to visit. The service was good. I took half of my food home since their burritos are massive. I’ll let my husband have it hah.

Wow! The food is delicious and AUTHENTIC! I had the three taco plate(2 chicken, 1 beef and includes rice and beans). I was very impressed! The tacos come with handmade corn tortillas(soooo good). They also give you chips and three salsas, which was yummy. Mexican food is usually not my first choice when dining out because most of the time it just taste average, but this little spot packs a big unexpected punch. The service was quick and professional. I will be back sooner than later and look forward to trying another menu item.

Id have to say this is the best authentic Mexican food I tasted in the A. V as of yet. Very delicious and filling. Finally I got to try this place and glad I did. Had a carne asada burrito and I think Ill be good for the rest of the afternoon and night. The lady that served me was very kind and breaks down for you what comes with your meal. Try it out you wont be disappointed!

I almost never review restaurants unless i have a bad experience… yeah i know lol But this place stole my heart and tumny! Small mom n pops place, nothing fancy but the food is delicious. Handmade tortillas were great. We ordered tacos, flautas and i had the Birria. The Birria was sooo good. But the assada tacos were the best tacos I’ve ever had. Even street tacos in LA or even in MX can’t beat this ones. The salsas were just perfect. We ordered dessert too but i haven’t tried those yet, so i will edit my review when i do so. Please support local business like this one so they can thrive and continue feeding us this delicious food! Will be back for sure!

I think this is one of the best family owned mexican restaurants in Palmdale. It’s kind if hidden and lonely but don’t let that fool you. The food is really good. We have been here twice now and the chicken pozole made us want to try new things. Today we had chilaquiles(bf said good) and chorizo and eggs(just okay). Both dishes came with rice and beans. They have the best sauces and pico de gallo. The chips for dipping are okay. The tortillas are homemade(very good). Kind of unsettling that it came wrapped in a washcloth but I want to hope it is used solely for that purpose. Everything was delicious. They just have canned or bottled soda, Jamaica and Horchata to drink. We will return again soon.

Absolutely loved it. Burrito was amazing. Comes on plate with utensils makes it easy to enjoy. But the taste was unbelievably good. If I’m around I will be coming again. Great job. Great food

Location– not in the best part of town! I had trouble finding the place and had to circle around the block 2 times. It is a small business nestled between other small businesses.(Be on the lookout) Parking– they have street parking in front and across the street. I didn’t have a hard time looking for parking. Inside– around 600 sqft of space!(Restroom included) They had small ac fans places by the register(no help) all it did was blow back room temperature air. I saw one cook, one server, and one order taker Service– could use some help! They are short staffed so waiting for your food seems like a hassle. Food– I ordered a steak torta to go The meat was marinated perfectly! Overall a flavorful sandwich! I would want to try their tacos(tortillas are made fresh) and Guadalajara bowl. Its a shame. Amazing little food shops like this are located in the scariest of places lol. Next time i would probably do a phone order instead of waiting there. Yikes!

I had read that a previous reviewer had stopped by the restaurant during normal business hours only to find the place closed. To avoid that problem on a Saturday at about 3PM I gave them a call to make sure they were open. I was assured by the woman that answered the phone that yes they were open for business until 8PM. We showed up about 30 minutes later only to find a sign that read«back in 30 minutes». This place wasn’t that easy to find even with GPS and we were most disappointed. If you plan on going here I would certainly recommend calling but as you can see from our experience that would be no guarantee.

I love authentic Mexican food. Love love love. In all my visits to Palmdale, this is my first time here. And I’m pissed… because the tacos here are, hands down, the best I’ve ever had. So many previous trips I now regret my meal choices… I came once for dinner, and the next day for lunch. Yes… that’s how good. The absolute best thing are the asada tacos. The asada is amazing, and the corn tortillas are out of this world. I also ended up having legua tacos(very good) and a pork tamale(the worst thing I had… but still awesome). Also had their horchata which was delicious. Tacos are about $ 1.25 each, and tamale was $ 1.50. Steal of the century. Service is super friendly. I love this place.

All I have to say is WOW!!! These tacos are the best I’ve had in a while and I came from LA where u find tacos in every corner. Big plus on this fam owned restaurant. Wife and husband are very nice and friendly. Wish they were closer to LA. Come try them out and you will love them. Tortillas hand made and actually hand made not machine.

I usually write good reviews. And that’s because most places I go to are really good. But, at least for one visit, this ain’t one of ‘em. Where do I start? 1 star: round tortilla chips from a bag. Uh, no. 2 stars: friendly but very slow service. The Guadalajara Bowl I ordered took 30 minutes to arrive. There were two other sets of people in the restaurant at the time and probably about two take-outs during this time. 2 stars: The Guadalajara Bowl with al pastor was maybe mediocre. How do I compare this? Alright, it’s a bit better than a tostada bowl you would get at Del Taco. By most any standard, it’s not as good as a typical Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles, which is not as good as one in San Diego, which is not as good as one in Mexico. Oh, and there was very little meat. 2 ½ stars: horchata. It’s fine, but nothing to write home about. I saw others eating tacos with carne asada, and those looked considerably better than what I had. I have no intention of eating here again, as I’d rather eat next door at Lee Esther’s Creole and Cajun Restaurant, but if you are coming here, I’d have a look at the carne asada tacos over the Guadalajara Bowl.

I am so happy to have this place in the AV. You would think there were multiple places that served authentic Mexican style tacos. However, really there are only chain businesses that all have similar tasting tacos. Guadalajara Taco Grill serves delicious, small street tacos. I got the asada and chicken tacos. I have to agree with the other Unilocalers, the asada was my favorite, so lean and tasty. The chicken tacos were excellent too. I really enjoyed how many toppings were given with the tacos. There were radishes, limes, guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsas at no additional cost. The corn tortillas were soft and yummy. I look forward to going back in the future to try their burritos and get some more tacos. I got a combination plate with rice and beans and that is the only reason I am not posting five stars. Both the beans and rice were a little too salty and in the future I would just get the tacos ala carte. I’m sure this can be easily modified and you don’t really need rice and beans with the tacos. The chips served at the beginning of the meal were salty and great for holding the salsa. The service was excellent. We were served by the mom and dad who own the restaurant and their son took our order. We got to sit in the brand new dining area adjacent to the main area. It just opened a week ago and they are putting the finishing touches on the decorations and lighting. There is now plenty of seating. I had never driven down Q-6 street before(behind the Palmdale Youth library) and was surprised to see that Shogun sushi and Lee Esther’s Creole and Cajun restaurant were right next to Guadalajara Taco Grill. Three completely different restaurants all right next to each other and all with five stars. Q-6 is the new place to go for eating out in Palmdale.
