My husband and I along with our two sons 5 and 15 really enjoyed staying 3 nights at The Amado a little over a month ago. The location is perfect and so close to both the highway and downtown. We love the entire apartment to Boutique Hotel transformation and loved staying in the 2 bed room suit overlooking the pool. The kitchen has everything you need to make coffee, breakfast, lunch and/or dinner and the supermarket is nearby. Rather that staying in a huge hotel with lots of hotel guests, noise and so forth, we are so happy we chose The Amado and look forward to returning soon again :)

Definitely Recommend. We rented the entire place for a «Destination Reception slash Group Honeymoon» and it worked out beautifully. The Amado has minimalist casual style nailed down, its midcentury meets southwestern vibe is easy and genuine. From the signature orange doors to the textiles, art choices and remodeling decisions, everything is spot on. This includes the necessities and amenities as well. Each bungalow is fully equipped with multiple wine glasses, champagne flutes, martini glasses, highballs, rocks glasses, and complete sets of utensils. The big house has a full set of cowboy-utility blue and white tinware including serving platters and bowls. It also has essential cooking tools, a large gas grill, big drink dispenser. Pool and other needs are filled with utilitarian sarongs, washer dryer, noodles and floats, etc. We knew we’d be doing a lot of cooking but had no idea what to expect as far as kitchen appointments go, so we were wowed and grateful it was done so well. From the beginning Chris(the manager) and Jamie(the owner) were a pleasure to work with, and were totally gracious and attentive. Our group was absolutely thrilled with everything the Amado had to offer. It was very hard to leave. Everyone wants to make it an annual event!

This place is the dream. We rented all units through airbnb for a friend’s birthday and flew from san francisco for the weekend. This place is straight out of david hockney famous swimming pool painting. The temperature was circa 100, the only thing to do was sipping cocktails by the pool so you couldn’t dream of a better setting. The beds are XXXL, the interior design of great taste, the individual units give you all the privacy you need whilst being with your friends and nothing’s missing to make you have the best time. Check out was a little early on sunday(we pushed it to 12pm) but you can get a day pass at the Ace hotel swimming pool for $ 20.

The Amado was an amazing getaway for our adult weekend! The manager Chris and owner Jamie, accommodated my every wish! They recommended a superb private chef, who came in and cooked for us. They had«turn down service» so my guests didn’t have to assemble their beds after indulging is a few cocktails. We rented out the entire property for the weekend and were a group of 11 couples… we are thinking of making this an annual trip! Thank you to The Amado for making my birthday weekend extra special!

The Amado is a dream! It’s a 1955 multi-unit that has been given a gorgeous remodel. A couple of girlfriends and I reserved a room on AirBnB this past week and it was wonderful. It’s in an outstanding location, clean, easy, and ideal for a group wanting to rent more than one space with a shared pool. We’re already planning our return! Thank you!
