I’ve been in the desert since 2003. I’ve eaten at all local steakhouses. In addition, I’ve eaten at other well known steakhouses in the desert areas such as Jackalope Ranch. The Steakhouse At The Spa is the best steakhouse in the desert. If you«know» beef then you can not say anything bad about this place. Atmosphere is elegant and conveniently located inside the casino, so anyone can eat here. The food is absolutely amazing! Our waiter Kenny was so attentive and personable he made us feel important. Obviously I love this place and recommend it highly(even for a date).

If a Spa-Casino in Palm Springs lacked an upscale Prime steakhouse it wouldn’t be where the polite crowd mingled, would it? Attending a concert at the outdoor venue later in the evening with my sister, our father accompanied us for dinner. His trajectory was destined to win $ 800 later on $ 100 free play later while we discovered that the band playing was a bunch of kilt wearing Scotts called the Red Hot Chili Pipers(not Peppers as most of the crowd undoubtedly thought they were seeing for $ 15). But back to the steakhouse. … Upon entering we were greeted and sat without a reservation(which didn’t appear necessary on a Thursday night) at a nice table in a dark but elegantly designed section behind the bar. This was noticeably quieter than the front area and more intimate. I liked the iron wrought ceiling with orange back lighting. The booths were more like small alcoves, but for parties of three or more the tables are effective. I found the chair comfortable. Service: Excellent indeed, and I liked how our waiter and buser stayed attentive yet unassertive. A+ on all aspects. The specials were announced, a check back and quick handling to make sure my sister’s Filet was cooked to a true medium when she realized medium rare was redder than she thought. Plus dessert was screened before wheeling the cart over, which was cool. Food and drinks: Dad and I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, and I told the waiter to pick it for us, and whatever it was it was fantastic! Not a fruit bomb, but spicy meets body and enough acidity to cut the fat on our steaks. Our shared sides included a Caesar Salad, garlic mashed potatoes served in a cool mini cast iron skillet, sautéed asparagus with expertly prepared Hollandaise Sauce, and a nice bread basket. Dad got a NY Strip cooked MR, Megan got the«petite» Filet, which at 7oz wasn’t exactly tiny, and I chose the regular Ribeye, also MR. See the pics below for presentation. Taste and Value: my Ribeye was cooked perfectly, and it tasted good, but was way too fatty and I battled some gristle too with the dull but fancy looking steak knife they provided. Apparently Dad thought the same about his NY Strip, and we both had a pile of fat leftover on our plates. Compared to The Grill on the Alley in Hollywood or elsewhere, this was a mild disappointment, hence the four-star rating. Megan’s Filet, once they cooked it to her liking, proved to be the winner. Too bad she can’t handle MR or it would have been exquisite! Dad and I agreed that if(if) we ever ate there again we’d do the Filet or Porterhouse. We declined dessert, but the offerings we saw being wheeled past to another table looked tempting. I thought the house coffee was superb, and all throughout the night the young buser was an all-star. A good meal overall, but not a first pick in the future.

Steak was perfect. Service was good. Low lit lighting set the perfect mood. Share a great meal with the one I love. Nothing better than that. I will return.

I love this place. It’s a very relaxed vibe when inside the restaurant. The lights are dimmed low to make it very romantic with a candle on the table. They have a light up menu that is absolutely wonderful. When I went last night I had the New York steak(Medium Rare) which was absolutely amazing. HOLLYKOOB was my server and she was very nice constantly checking up on my partner and I to see if everything was cooked to perfection. I would totally recommend the beef skewers, Cesar salad, the bacon mashed potatoes, and the New York Steak. Desert they present to you on a cart rolled to your table, but I went for the sticky sundae.

We went here after losing $ 200 rather quickly in the casino for a drink(to ease my annoyance) and some french onion soup. The soup was eh, ok. Pretty salty and not a lot of broth. But the bartender was very pleasent and the people watching is amazing. :)

Been here a few times and it just depends on the chef because at times its on point and others it bland. This time is was ok. The ribeye is just huge. The best part was the dessert chocolate soufflé which I forgot to picture… lol next time

I ate here 3 times in the last year and the last time was for my birthday. I must say I had the New York Steak and it was fabulous ! Melted in my mouth and the crusting on it was very flavorful. I had the Hollandaise sauce and a side of their mac & cheese. Again it was outstanding. Having eaten at Fleming’s the week before, I had a good comparison and I must say this steak and service was far superior. My friend really enjoyed his meal as well. I can not wait to go back.

I am giving this 5 stars based on the happy hour, which is daily at 4 to 6. Yea I loved it. The popcorn shrimp were awesome, much larger than I thought for five bucks. The beef sliders for 9 were really good too. Best of all are the drinks. 6 bucks for a Manhattan on the rocks. Avoid the 15 buck shrimp plate unless you are on a strict diet. You get 3 shrimp. Wtf. Popcorn shrimp for 5 bucks is the bomb. Atmosphere dark and intimate, a great break from the noisy casino.

Came here for dinner just because it was convenient going to the black jack table after. However food was very average. Lobster mash potatoes was my fave part. I had the new york strip it lacked flavor also tried some of the filet and lobster tail. Just average food overall and average experience.

Another place and incredible for a casino. The service is awsome. The meat was delighhtful and thhe portions are really big. I even tried other type of food than just their meat such as escargots and it was really great. Went 5 times and will be back for sure. We just were invited to a VIP brunch by the casino this Sunday and the four of us really enjoyed their buffet and champagne and it was free even better. Great staff and great wine list as well

Came back for dinner with friends on Friday 2÷20÷15& they had live music. Sat at the bar and had a good time. Place was packed but I called in before walking in to the casino and hostess was kind enough to make room for us, awesome! We introduced our friends to our fave mushroom sauce for the steaks and they loved it. Hubby & I shared the bone in rib eye and they were delish. Good times!

Chateaubriand flawless! Perfectly cooked medium rare and a quality prime piece of meat. Service is outstanding. Steakhouse salad with derby dressing perfect and who doesn’t like a table side prepared baked potato with all the trimmings? Very satisfying. Better than a typical steakhouse restaurant e.g. LGs

Ruth’s Chris prices, Sizzler quality food — wait, I take that back. Sizzler is the shiz and they do not deserve to be placed in the same category of this place. At least Sizzler’s quality of food is on par with their pricing. We came here on a whim — no prior research done — looking for a place for a birthday dinner. The menu looked great — even with the sticker shock. The birthday girl was up for it, so we forged ahead, with high hopes. Like Ruth’s Chris, everything is al a carte — unlike Ruth’s Chris, there is no price-fixe menu. Very unfortunate. The service was nothing like Ruth’s Chris — it was more like Applebee’s — mediocre. Our waitress was pleasant, but nothing she did stood out from a service standpoint(with exception to charging my card for a meal that belonged to another member of our party — they refunded my $). Ruth’s Chris blows them out of the water. Let’s see — I got the oysters(blech — don’t do it!), the Steakhouse Salad(yum), the rib eye(meh — Steak Corral is much better), and the brussel sprouts(meh — pass). All that came to $ 91 — not including tip. CRAY, yeah? Yeah — and I ordered all that shit. My bad — never again! The tastiest item was the salad — go figure. The restaurant is dimly lit but the menus are backlit — nice. The iced tea has actual iced tea cubes so that the tea doesn’t get diluted. That’s a nice touch too; however, the pricing is much, much too high in comparison to the quality. My friends enjoyed their food. I really didn’t and I can not, in good conscience, recommend this place. Go to Bernie’s, Blue Coyote or Ruth’s Chris(if you can find one).

Definitely a great place to go(if you’re willing to spend a lot of money) for some quality and large portions of protein. Came here with my parents after 8pm on a weekday and it was practically empty. The dining room is pretty dim with candles strewn about the tables. Menus have lights that turn on when opened. Wait service was great and speedy, bringing out a basket of various breads and butter and drinks. Surprisingly not much of a wind selection here. Both my dad and I ordered the King Cut Prime Rib, and I added a side of creamed spinach. My mom ordered the salmon. None of us were able to finish our food since the sizes were so big. The prime ribs were cooked perfectly with a nice seasoned sear on the outside of the cut. It came with horseradish and au jus. Other small details like a lemon half wrapped in a cheese cloth to keep the seeds in are what set this place apart. The spinach was good, but let’s be real, this place is all about the meat.

By far some of the best food in Palm Springs! The steaks and seafood have always been great! They pour big martini’s with a craft on the side. Specials are always inviting. The Tuna Stack was Excellent! Very fresh and as big as an entrée and for $ 14 was a great deal! The rest of the menu is a bit on the pricy side but definitely worth it. Always has been a consistent fine dining dinner restaurant to go to.

This place is an exclusive steakhouse for the Spa Casino. The ambiance is dark, and their menus light up when you open them. My dad got a kick out of the lighted menus. ;) For starters I had the Wedge Salad, which is an actual wedge of an iceberg lettuce that has bleu cheese dressing all over it and then topped with bacon, diced tomatoes, and bleu cheese crumbles. It was very yummy. I selected the small Filet Mignon; the meat was delicious and cooked exactly how I liked it, medium rare. For sides, we had the sautéed button mushrooms and creamed spinach to share. The sides were a nice compliment to the meat. They also have a pretty good wine selection. Overall this was a really nice dining experience. The price is on the higher end, but the check comes in a check holder that when you open it, also lights up. My dad got a kick out of that too when he paid lol. ;) The do bring out a complimentary bread basket, and the parmesan bread thins are delicious. The service was ok, and after dinner it’s fun to go hang out at the Casino. I had a pleasant time, and I am sure we will be back.

Came in for dinner since I was staying at the hotel down the road. I was impressed how upscale and swanky the restaurant interior was. Upon checking in I was seated within a few minutes and greeted by my waiter Don. His assistant brought a warm bread basket which was yummy with whipped butter provided. My selection the prime rib dinner which included Cesar’s salad for starters. The salad was stellar = the shredded cheese and fresh ground pepper was a nice addition. When I received my prime rib the entrée was presented beautifully and included shredded mixed veggies, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The prime rib was decent — not the best I’ve had and my sides were both good. The one negative was the Yorkshire pudding which was overcooked and hard. I needed to dip it in the Au jus just to make it edible! Service by the waiter and his staff were solid. I would recommend the Steakhouse at the Spa for a cozy date.
