I went into the store looking to buy some jewelry. I asked the lady working the specifics on the piece that I was looking at– I wanted to know if the stones were diamonds or not. She told me that it doesn’t say on the tag but she is sure they are. I told her I was not about to spend the kind of money they wanted on the piece if they cannot verify that they are diamonds. She copped an attitude with me, and said «don’t even go there». She then went over to the machine they had to test the diamonds, and attempted to prove to me they are diamonds. She was unable to get the machine into the «green zone». She then told me it was because the diamonds were too small and she couldn’t hit them, but she’s sure they are diamonds. I informed her that I would not purchase them when they cannot provide any type of guarantee of what I am buying. She again copped an attitude and informed me I was at a pawnshop not a jewelry store. Apparently that means that I am supposed to pay significant amounts of money and have no idea what I’m getting?!? Needless to say I will never be returning to deal with the unknowledgeable and rude staff at Rocky’s EVER again!

My Lady took her gold chain and other gold. When she pick it up the chain was broke. They said she brought it in like that

I needed school books and brought in a new citizen watch which i paid 400 dollars for a month before and never wore. I brought it in in the original box with reciept. The guy helping me looks online and googles it and offers me seven dollars??? I asked why such a low price and he proceeds to tell me thats what they are going for online and shows me the screen. Perplexed i said those watches are used and damaged, this is new and never worn. He shrugs and says thats all ill give you for it. I said no thanks and walked out. Rockys simply google old, used damaged matching items and starts from there. Its a joke. It reinforced my outlook on pawn dealers as i have never really been except to buy items back in Dallas. Sad…

Looking for a great buy on nice jewelry, musical stuff, tools? Look no further, as I’ve loved shopping at the downtown Rockys Pawn Shop. Over the past 20 years have bought many nice pieces of high quality jewelry for myself, family, and friends. And when there is a 50 – 70 percent off sale, I stocked up on my Christmas list items. You will save big, and get many compliments on the things you buy. Lay away is a breeze, and no interests. No jeweler can match that. It’s one of the deserts best secrets for a good buy. Thank you, Janet, for being an excellent salesperson and so nice to me.

Just want to say Rocky’s is great, they were really there when I needed them, very fair and really really kind, everyone there is very nice and really cool ! Thank you Rocky’s for being there for me when I really needed finances, I highly recommend them !

Rocky’s Pawn shop is HORRIBLE. I recently had to deal with them in picking up an item for my sister who had passed away and had something in pawn there. I called in advance and explained the situation, and was told that as long as I brought in the appropriate paperwork that retrieving my sister’s items would be no problem. I drove over 45 miles to get there (on the specific day that I was told I had to come in by) and when I got there the manager handling the shop was so rude. I again explained the situation and he told me he would not release the items, nor tell me even what they were. I understand that he didnt want to tell me what was in on loan because if I knew what it was and didn’t want it, that I might leave it there. But he still could have been more sensitive to my situation that I was dealing with the recent loss of a loved one and was only trying to get her items. He used profanity when talking to me (in front of my child who was with me) and made me feel berated. I had no choice but to play by his rules if I wanted my items. He would not release the items to me that day even though he told me I had to come in that day. I paid up and had to return home empty handed only to return the following day driving an additional 90 miles to get the jewelry that was in there. I have dealt with other pawn shops in buying things and getting loans, and I have NEVER experienced the rude customer service and sheer disrespect that I did at this location. I am quite surprised that they have multiple locations with the way they choose to treat customers. They need to remember that they are in business because of the customers and patrons that walk through their doors. I buy many items from pawn shops as it is a great place to get deals on jewelry, electronics, etc– but I would NEVER EVER give one more penny to Rocky’s Pawn Shop in Beaumont or any of their various locations.

If you want to get ripped off it’s simple — go to Rocky’s Pawn Shop. They carry junk, and just do not pay anything for gold. The staff is not professional, and when I entered the store I wasn’t greeted. It’s a negative environment, and plus they offer their customers pennies for their gold. Shame on you Rocky’s!
I recommend going to Desert Jewelry Mart in Cathedral City, Ca if you want a FAIR deal and great customer service. I was not only paid top dollar for my gold, but I was greeted and treated fairly!

Recently I wrote a very negative review on Rockys pawn shop, sometimes we say things out of anger, maybe even revenge, I am embarrassed that I stooped that low, my head is clear and now I look only on the positive side.
Sometimes things are better left unsaid, I can only say that over the years Rocky has been very good to me, because of all the loans from his store I was able to retain the best attorney for my divorce, I was able to have a down payment for a new car, and many many things, too many things to mention.
Sometimes things didn’t always go my way, but I blame myself, times are very difficult and because of places like Rockys Pawn Shop we can get out of a rut quickly.
I can’t look back at my mistakes and I can’t take back my words but I can truly say
thank you Rocky for your help.
I miss what I no longer have but I can say I am now able to pick up the pieces and move on.
My struggles were overcome and truly do recommend Rockys Pawn shop,

good honest man, rocky is. He is not a BABY SITTER, so if you cant keep your pawns under control you may think he is unfair. He is not unfair by any means be an adult and pay your dues. Always helped me out…

We stopped in here after driving back to P. S. from the Westfield mall in Palm Desert. My DH was on a quest to find me a nice piece of turquoise. I guess this is what they call a «real pawn shop». I’ve never been into a shop like this. There was a clear acrylic divider between the «cashier» and the merchandise. My DH said it was pretty much a bunch of junk. We looked around, there were people waiting in line to pick up stuff, I guess. There were a few older men looking at rocks and gems. The instrument area was dingy, the place was pretty much a mess, but I guess if you need to pawn this is the place to go. I don’t know about buying anything there… yikes!
