I used to hit this spot a while ago when id be out in the desert, so i had to check it out on the most recent trip. Went in on back-to-back mornings and had different experiences. First day, the kid Peter was workin the register and he was cool, personable, and helpful with questions and decisions. Got an(excellent) Americano and a breakfast wrap, both very good and while high, the price wasnt too extreme. Pleased with the experience, 4 ½ stars. Day 2 the woman ‘D’ was workin the register and was putting out all types of negative vibes. I mean, yea maybe she was having a bad day and was trying to salvage any level of ‘customer service’, but she simply fell short; as did the Americano, as did the breakfast scramble. Barely 2 stars. I really dont like bad vibes on my food, and the second visit has me reconsidering a third visit to this spot. I also take no pleasure in calling people out on Unilocal, and much prefer to give praise as was deserved for my first day coming here, but when youre ‘that bad’, you pretty much need to be called out. ‘D’…you were that bad. Yea, i mean, perhaps id hit em up again, but not until i check out a different spot for breakfast first. Oh, and the groceries in this place? Hmmm how can i put it nicely? Uh, the prices on a box of cereal were like hyper-inflation prices! Guys, the value of the USDollar has not plummeted yet damnit! Yall crazy for that!

I have been to this great store many times but never took the time to eat from their in house restaurant. After a nice workout this AM, I stopped by and met the owner while I was ordering a spinach and feta cheese omelette. Like the owner, it was divine. You cannot go wrong at this place. Namaste…

I’m mostly raw vegan, try to eat as healthy as possible. Just because the word health is in title of a store, restaurant or product doesn’t always mean anything when you start to look into the ingredients. I tried to order something for a person who was with me that had just had a heart attack and had a low salt requirement. On that menu it was almost impossible. The guy behind the counter said all the fake meat products were very high with sodium. I went down the large menu and found only salad was going to worked out for us. I said to the guy«You know this is a health food store right?» He said we can’t cater to everyone’s diet. For me I wanted to leave some stuff off a salad and replace them with a couple other things. I would have had to pay for 2 salads that would have put me at $ 12. I could eat at a nice place for that price. I usually only have the option of a salad at most restaurants. But at a place like this I should be able to have more options for fresh live foods. It all looks good on the menu but not a healthy menu for the most part. All that fake meat on the menu. Real grass fed organic meat would be better for you then that stuff. I ended up getting a green juice for me(pretty straight forward fresh veggies, nothing else) and buying food for my friend at another regular lunch place in the same shopping center. Luscious Lorraine’s Café in Palm Dessert is much better. Also in a health food store. I should have just driven the few xtra miles.

I finally got to try a date shake! I never had a chance to have a non-vegan version, but I was delighted to see Nature’s at least uses dairy-free ice cream in their concoction. It was caramelly and sweet without making me feel ill. I’d definitely come back for another one! We also grabbed lunch to go. I went for the spicy soy chicken wrap, which they confirmed was vegan despite not being on the vegan menu. It wasn’t spicy at all, and lacked a lot of flavor, but made up for it with using amazingly fresh ingredients. The vegan Caesar dressing I got for my side salad saved my wrap and made it taste super awesome. The date shake and homemade Caesar dressing stole the show here, and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for them. The grocery selection is slim but if you’re a vegan in the desert, you’ll find some goodies. I was hoping for a nice vegan cheese to pair with wine and crackers — no such luck, but they did have Daiya shreds and Chao slices.

Healthy vegan food combined with organic free range eggs always makes for a happy eating space for my husband and me! He had the two eggs spinach feta omelette with fried potatoes and I enjoyed a bean bowl with tempeh! I highly recommend this is a great place to enjoy a lunch or breakfast. The service was good too.

The café is healthy and tasty too. The shakes were great. I ate here for breakfast on two occasions during my visit to PS and enjoyed them both. I tried some tasty ginger and licorice candy that was pricey but good. The market items are pricey but when products are made with crystals and Angel wings it can get pricey. If you are in PS and you want to eat healthy this is a great place.

love it. the staff is so friendly and even helps you with what vitamins are best for you. The food is delicious, I tried the mushroom burger and its my favorite thing and also the boca burger too. the shakes are good too and it nice knowing its fresh and not some premade jucies or frozen ingrediants like other places around. Also the salsa there is very good my mother is very picky with other people’s salsa recipes but she really likes the one from natures and even simple dishes like the quesidillas are really flavorful!

Went twice on our recent trip to PS. had breakfast both times. If you want healthy in the desert, there aren’t a lot of options. The market itself is cute but very overpriced. everything is marked up making the prices almost laughable. The food at the restaurant is decent and some of it is «healthy». Clue… a juice shake made with ice cream isn’t healthy. First day we had the burrito and breakfast tacos and one of the elixirs with pineapple and wheatgrass. the gentleman at the counter was great and helpful. The burrito was pretty«rooty», but fresh and tasty. The tacos were somewhat bland. The shake was the best part of the meal. Second time coming, we ordered the shake again and breakfast from a woman that was nasty. The shake came chunky with full leaves of spinach in it. At 8 bucks, it was disappointing and the rest of the meal was jut okay.

I was excited to find a vegan restaurant so my bf and I decided to get food before leaving back home. The tofu scramble look delicious but was not. It was missing flavor and was blah. I did get a shake which was very good. Hope other items on the menu at not as bad as the tofu scramble.

Close to 5 years since my previous review of Nature Café, time for an update. I really like the café. The juices are around $ 6 which now is pretty standard anywhere(or $ 10 in Santa Monica). I like the veggie juice here, it could use a bit more herbs in it, mint, ginger, or lemon, I’ve never asked. The veggie juice tastes like a refreshing juiced salad. There are many other juices, the beet is good too. My favorite food item from the café is the sauteed portable mushroom and onion wrap in the clear rice noodle wrap. I never really liked«wraps» because there is usually way too much flour tortilla and it always tastes dry. Oh no, I tried the clear rice noodle, it’s perfect. Their tahini dressing is really delicious on salads or anything. Still good desert selections in the health food, vitamins, and alternative health care side. I found fresh turmeric roots here, many different types of aloe, and quality water in glass bottles(bottled water leaches chemicals from the plastic in sunlight, in the desert light and heat can be hard to avoid.) They also carry DoTerra essential oils, maca power, many cleanses, supplements, and have very informed and helpful staff. There is a Whole Foods in Rancho Mirage now(be careful what you wish for.) I checked Whole Foods doesn’t carry bottled still water in glass. Except in one tiny 12 ounce size, not stored cold.

Barely one star. Ordered the hemp shake, ingredients listed on menu as greens, hemp, maca and almond milk. As i was finishing on the patio, employee asked me how i liked it. I commented on its unusual sweetness. Her response was«oh that’s the ice cream»!!! Apparently, they add about a cup or more of Rice Dream, full of crap ingredients that made me sick the next few days. Thanks Nature’s un «health» food. Please practice honesty on your menu, as many ppl have allergies and other health concerns. What was most disconcerting was the utter lack of concern when i expressed my digestive issues with their«ice cream». Refund, coupon, anything?! No. Very disappointing.

I’ve been coming here for over ten years and have watched this place go up in price but down in quality. Not sure if people shopping here realize how high the markup is on these products but just because you carry«health food» doesn’t mean hike up the price. I got an awesome date smoothie the other day and craved it again so I went tiger it and I got something that looked unmixed and has a mess all over the outside of the cup, the cashier tells me everyone makes it different as he wipes off the cup on his dirty apron. Without causing a scene inside a small café I take the drink & I think hmmm that’s inconsistent how about placing a recipe guide next to the blender so your customers aren’t let down by lack of professionalism and what gets me most is that I can’t gamble with coming back for something that won’t be what I know it to be. Somebody do something this place is kinda falling apart :(

Wow where do I start with this review? My husband and I come out to Palm Springs each year for our birthdays. We always look forward to stuffing our face with good food and drinks. Being vegan we are limited to Native and palm greens, or going to chipotle or trader joes down the way. But this time I Unilocaled vegan food to see if anything new popped up. I came across natures café and grocery store. I had seen it before but just assumed it was a grocery store with a tiny café. WRONG! The store itself is tiny and the actual size of the kitchen is small but it has a menu that would satisfy any craving! I mean were talking breakfast burritos, pancakes, acai bowls, Mexican, stir fry’s, burgers, sandwiches and much much muuuuch more. We literally had(good) anxiety trying to figure out what to order. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled amazing which didn’t help the decision process. We finally decided on an acai bowl for me and«fish» tacos and date shake for my man. It sounds weird but my acai bowl was the best I ever had. They later granola and acai 3 times so every bite is crunchy goodness. Not just a soupy smoothie with some measly granola and fruit on top. My hubs taco were fresh and delicious. Okay so we left very very happy with our experience. So happy that we went back for lunch. I got the club sandwich(vegan turkey, bacon, avocado, tomato, and onions with a side of chips and salsa). He got the blackened chicken quesadilla(vegan cheese, grilled peppers and onions, blackened soy chicken with rice and beans on the side). My sandwich was huge and definitely a slam dunk. The quesadilla was really good but for my hubs, who doesn’t really like peppers, he wished it had more mock chicken. Also it had the blackened seasoning on the outside of the tortilla which was a little seasoning overload but still really good. I mean we can get vegan quesadillas often so when we do were grateful. The next day we went back(again) for dinner. This time we ordered to go. It was hard but we narrowed it down to the mock egg salad sandwich, spicy chicken wrap, and the regular chicken quesadilla(sans the seasoning and pepper). Oh and a date shake. We got back to the room and we were happy to see the portions didn’t suffer for ordering to go like some places. *Cough, native foods, cough* My wraps was huge and had chicken, avocado, greens, onions, and sprouts. Accompanied with chips and salsa. His sandwich was stacked high with a mixture of tofu, veganaise and nutritional yeast to make the egg. And then it was topped with tomato and other veggies. His also came with chips and salsa. Finally the quesadilla which was simply cheese and chicken goodness. That surprisingly came with a salad as the side. Haha The prices are fair and the food comes out in a reasonable time. The selection is so good that everyone can find something they like and surprisingly they do everything really well. I can’t wait to go back and try more.

Fantastically fresh food. I had the tostada, which included delightful avocado, black eyed peas, rice, greens, and chips. They have a fantastic selection of juices, although I might recommend against Karan’s Juice, it had a few too many ingrediants, making it taste closer to a kitchen sink. I still am savoring my wonderful meal. Highly recommended.

Pros– good selection of gluten free stuff and supplements . Cons — the Café. I watched the guy put BOTTLED juice in my smoothie. Omg. Also, the soy they use us GMO, Salad I got pt today was 10 dollars and I had to beg to get the dressing on the side. It was small and the greens were old. Palms Springs is kind of 90s «fake healthy«if you ask me. There needs to be a better version of this. Like a REAL healthy one. Urgh.

Pretty impressive and extensive menu for a small café within a small local market. Even though the menu has a section for Vegan Entrées, I ventured other parts of the menu for vegan options cuz I’m a rebel like that ;P The Artichoke Wrap caught my interest and just to verify its vegan-ness, I asked the cashier guy if there was any hidden ingredients. He confirmed that it’s basically hummus, artichoke hearts, Greek olives, sun dried tomatoes, and mixed greens. So much deliciousness and the portion was much bigger than I expected! Since it also comes with a hearty serving of side salad, I was only able to eat half of the wrap. The other half made a yummy snack for later :) Side note about the side salad: It’s so much more than just mixed greens. It’s also topped with shredded carrots, sliced red onion, and alfalfa sprouts. Very fresh ingredients and great options for vegan dressing too. Vegan Caesar is amazing! If anyone knows what brand they use, please msg me! The market itself has a good variety of vegan items. If I lived in Palm Springs, I’d probably be a regular shopper here. This was the perfect place to pick up a bunch of snacks. But what really earns this place 5-stars is the friendliness! Within the first 10 – 15 minutes of being here, at least three staff members said any variation of «Hello. Are you finding everything ok? Have a great day!» I appreciate that sort of thing :)

I get this is Palm Springs and my vegan options are limited, but knowing native foods originated in this same place leads me to believe the cooks at this place just aren’t that great. With that being said, I can’t seem to get over the weird smell of my tofu breakfast burrito. I love tofu and I love breakfast burritos, and I’ve had great tofu breakfast burritos. However, this one honestly smelled like how I imagine rotting human flesh to smell. The constant whiffs of the smell left me feeling a little nauseated. It didn’t taste as bad as it smelled when I drenched it in salsa, but I would definitely never pay $ 10 for it again. The guy taking our order seemed cool with us until we told him we were in a hurry. It wasn’t anything personal, we really just needed to be out of there ASAP. As a result, I think they purposely didn’t give us forks for our to-go order. I’m giving two stars because the grocery store in itself was cute, and they had a lot of good variety that’s nice to see in an underpopulated area.

Stopped here quickly on my way somewhere else. Service was reasonably fast. This place has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I just got the spicy faux chicken wrap for lunch, but their breakfast looked delicious. The breakfast had eggs, morningstar farms bacon, and some awesome looking potatoes. As for the wrap… it was tasty, chickeny, and full of good veggies. It was not, however, spicy at all. Also got the beet juice with ginger and lemon– surprisingly refreshing, if a bit like borscht. Quite intense. They also have a small selection of natural foods and a big selection of natural medicine. If I were to come back, I’d probably come back for breakfast.
