Fun, outside seating, decent fresh ingredients. The olives and the margaritas were delicious. Not a tourist trap. Yes, I would dine here again.

Wife and I went here for the first time today and we really enjoyed everything. I had the Mediterranean chicken salad and wife had the cioppino. Also shared shrimp kebob appetizer. Would definitely recommend this place.

Wow what a little gem! I can to Palm Springs for a one night getaway. The boyfriend and I were looking to go somewhere nice for dinner. Downtown has tons of restraints lined up, many options and styles. We somehow managed to settle for the the small little modest cute cozy place«Alicante». We got outdoor seating and had a pitcher of San Gria(only $ 12)!!! The tapas menu was extensive and everything looked so good. We were seated so close to the table next to us we almost started exchanging and sharing our food with them. We ordered a couple tapas to start which were fantastic and ordered a seafood paella to share! We were so happy, my boyfriend and I couldn’t stop talking about it and telling everyone how good food was! So glad we stopped here instead of one of the large over packed places!

Tapas fun to share. Serrano ham wrapped zucchini tasty and the chickpeas with sausage and goat cheese was a generous portion. Spicy chicken soup was chicken-a lot of chicken and served piping hot. The entrée hangar steak was perfect. Very tender and delicious. Waitress Carly was spectacular. A true natural and very informed about the menu. Try the sangria. Made with brandy and fresh fruit the way it should be.

Lured in after dinner for the banana walnut bread pudding… but ended up getting a marguerite pizza because we saw a couple beside us sharing one. I wolfed it down too quickly because we were talking, but it was so good, and cheesy despite being so thin and crispy. We returned the next night and got the pudding and coffee w/Baileys. It was small but a perfect dessert: a warm, soft, nutty, gooey handful of banana goodness with a hint of coconut, with vanilla ice cream melting on top and forming a sauce with the drizzled chocolate syrup. A+ Each night the servers were super attentive and friendly. Open late, dimly lit, and unpretentious, we’d return in a heartbeat… that is, as long as it keeps beating. Not sure with all this late night carb overloading.

The service is great. The food was ok. It felt like they were trying to be too interesting with the food combos and missed the mark. Mushy potatoes, dry breakfast meals, and shrimp tapas in a sour lemon sauce. Just wasn’t all that amazing sorry to say.

Great service! The guys enjoyed their sandwiches. The coconut and Gorgonzola were a great combination on the salad.

Very small but very cute on the inside. Went today and ordered the app(salmon cream cheese stuffed peppers), and the hamburger. friend had the«El pollo», hamburger was NOT good, better at a fast food place, the chicken sandwich was okay — but had no flavor. Didn’t leave satisfied but I think they are trying… Who knows.

After a long afternoon walking up and down Palm Canyon Drive, my husband and I ducked in here for dinner. We haven’t had a lot of experience with tapas bars in the past, but this one was a good place to start! We ordered sangrias, hummus, citrus-soaked olives, and a meat and cheese platter to start. The hummus was a little disappointing — mostly because there was so little of it! It comes on two small pieces of crostini. It was absolutely delicious, though. The olives — a mix of green and black — were so good even I enjoyed them. Normally, all olives go directly to my husband; this time, he had to fight me off to get some of the black olives for himself. The best of the tapas for us was the meat and cheese platter. We ordered Drunken Goat cheese and prosciutto. It came with crostini, quince jam, and a few more of the delicious olives. After enjoying all of these delicious bites, we decided to share the vegetable paella for our main dish. It turned out to be another good choice. The one disappointment was the banana bread pudding we had for dessert. It just didn’t stack up when compared to the other dishes, and I suspect it was heated in the microwave, as the bottom was a little too chewy. The ice cream was good, though. The service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. We sat by the window and watched the people walking by as we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in Palm Springs!

There was no seating ar the bar for the happy hour menu but they tucked us into a small table and let us order. I had the Serrano ham wrapped zucchini. They were grilled and mostly it was like eating Serrano ham. Maybe a little cheese or a larger slice of zucchini? Ernie had the scrimp skewers which had a pretty light portion of shrimp(2) but he said the onions and peppers etc were tasty so he was forgiving. We would have stayed and had dinner but Ernie wanted spaghetti and meatballs and theirs has veal which we don’t eat. Staff was really friendly and I had a nice chat with the gal greeting everyone while we decided whether to stay or not

We sat on the patio and ordered a bunch of stuff. Meat skewers, patatas bravas, pulpos Galician style. It was all yum. We’ve lived in Spain and think these dishes are the real deal. In some ways better because they are less salted. The beers were good too.

So, tapas is my most common Unilocal search term. I love tapas. I love them. I like to be wowed by every dish. Here, I was wowed by the alicante sliders, which were perfect, and the Bloody Mary. I also love Bloody Marys, I order them anywhere that purports to have high quality versions, and I was very, very impressed. I’ve ordered them from 50 different places(or twice that, who knows), and this is either the best or second best I’ve ever had(is have to compare side by side to be sure). The octopus was also better than I’ve ever had, but I’m not a connoisseur. Beets and goat cheese were delicious, bit let’s face it, hard to get that one wrong. Grilled artichokes were great. Everything else — fried egg bruschetta, meatball slider, Shrimp skewer and chicken skewer, were all good, but nothing special. Service was fine, prompt knowledgeable, and friendly. Sorry to our server for forgetting his name, good looking guy with a nearly trimmed beard. Prices write reasonable, and sweet Unilocal deal for free tapas just for checking in. A pleasant experience.

Cute little spot with nice outdoor seating area. Wonderfully friendly and inviting staff, super attentive and made us feel really special. Carly was absolutely the nicest! Extensive menu, lots of vegetarian and gluten free options, with dishes ranging from tapas for two to full sized entrees and lovely salads. Everything we had was delicious. The beef/chorizo sliders(2 of them) were small but flavorful and tasty! Patatas Bravas(2) came on a bed of haricot vert and were seasoned well and yummy. The stuffed bacon-wrapped peppers were amazing but very spicy, and the sautéed shrimp were as well.(Get the warm sourdough to dip in the sauces — delicious!!) We loved the house red sangria, and for desert a wonderful giant piece of bread pudding with ice cream. So good!!! This is an excellent dinner spot and I highly recommend! Loved it. *(use the check in offer for free tapas!)

SLIDERS. SLIDERS. SLIDERS. I love sliders. This place has 2 kinds to choose from. Who doesn’t love slider options? The meatball slider was the winner though. Right before entering I had eaten the hottest jerky of my life and thought my mouth was going to die. They brought me a mini pitcher of water. Thank you my mouth lived to eat another slider.

We enjoyed having dinner at Alicante. We love Spanish food and we wanted to try some of their tapas. The restaurant is in downtown Palm Springs, near a Buzz stop. The staff was nice, from the host to our waiter, we didn’t feel rushed. We got a table on the patio outside, it was nice to see the action in the downtown area on a Saturday night. We got a pitcher of their Sangria, which is good, and had the Serrano ham wrapped zucchini(very good), the Grilled Baby octopus(delicious), the Baby octopus w. potatoes(loved the smoked paprika sauce). We do love the octopus and they do a great job cooking it here. On top of that we had to try their Alicante sliders, also very good. The tapas portions are a bit smaller than in other Spanish restaurants, but they’re good. They had restaurant week while we were in Palm Springs, so we tried the bread pudding from their special menu. No regrets there, since it was different, had coconut inside. They have a great Happy Hour(till 7pm), but unfortunately, only at the bar, which is small. The interior lacks the flavor of Spain, it’s pretty bland décor wise. Otherwise, nice music, fun atmosphere, the place stays open later. Good experience!

Came here twice during our stay and loved it. Sat at the bar both times. The happy hour was perfect, the food delicious and the bartender, Angel, both nights was engaging, funny and attentive! Definitely a stop worth making each trip up to PS! Get the Octopus!!!

Imagine yourself approaching a gingerbread house, like the one the Fairmont in SF builds every holiday season, it’s enticing, and you want to eat it. I had the same feeling here. Very cute place, enticing me to eat there, with its own confidence and bravado. But then things start going wrong. I started to notice that this was not as good as it seemed. My drink was unavailable and the next took 10 minutes to arrive. The veggie paella was boring and borderline not worth eating, except my stomach juices had all activated and I had to eat or my stomach would boil in its own acid. Ok, I did just say eating here was better than a stomach of boiling acid, and I won’t take it back. I packaged the leftovers to give a homeless man and I almost felt bad for him, but I thought of his battery acid stomach and took pity.

This place is across the street from the Starbucks and was one of the places offering a Happy Hour in the morning that day. I had orange juice, one of the octopus tapas, and the nicoise salad. The orange juice was very overpriced, at about $ 6 for a «large» orange juice that was basically in just a small sized cup, I felt a bit ripped off about it. The octopus tapa was okay, it came with a potato wedge and a piece of bread. The flavor wasn’t all that interesting, it tasted a bit boring, and kind of salty in some parts. The nicoise salad wasn’t that much better either. I didn’t really like the taste of the tuna, it wasn’t really well made and tasted like it came from a can(though it might not have). The other parts of the salad were kind of boring and felt uninspired. Overall an okay restaurant.
