Was traveling and looking for deep tissue, sports massage to address build up from a season of 100+ days of skiing. Problems mostly lower back and legs beat up by skiing aggravated by hours in car driving on post season road trip. Richard provided best massage to address this class of problems that I’ve had. Particularly appreciated joint range of motion manipulation with deep tissue massage.
Shares facility with facial salon, looked to have dedicated room. Pleasant music and lighting, top notch linens and table, very clean; leaning more to functional rather than zen ambiance, appropriate if your addressing muscle function, at least to my way of thinking.

I’ve been going to Richard for massage for many months now and I’m glad to have discovered him here in the desert. From the moment he starts the massage, you can sense a therapeutic connection happening. Richard is amazing. We were visiting Palm Springs and needed to loosen muscles after a lot of hiking, driving and sleeping on various quality mattresses. We both had massages and were wowed by the quality of the massage Richard provides. We’ve both been to many massage therapists and Richard ranks among the best ever.

When I lived in Los Angeles, I had my go to massage therapist, Javier at the Gendarmerie, who was absolutely fantastic. Moving away to the Bay Area for work, my visits to Javier became necessarily fewer and further between, and having some chronic back issues, of course my luck would have it that they would act up while on vacation in Palm Springs.
I found Richard through word-​of-​mouth, as such things happen, and realized that his home office was literally blocks from where I was staying. Perfect. I contacted him and set up an appointment at a convenient time for both of us.
The studio was cozy and homey, very relaxing. Soft music was playing. It was comfortable and warm in the room. Richard was very clearly dedicated to diagnosis and assessment in our visit, and was constantly checking-​in with me to see that I was comfortable and not in too much pain. Absolutely professional, conscientious, and considerate the entire time. I stayed for a two-​hour appointment so that he could diagnose and then treat, and then went and soaked in a hot tub for an hour afterwards. Exactly what I needed that afternoon.
Highly recommend, for a vacation treat or for pain relief; hopefully for your sake, the former and not the latter.
