Just Fabulous

I love browsing the incredible selection of fun stuff, books on Palm Springs are so complete and so many items that make me want to go out and buy another set of display shelves but no room. I have never been disappointed when visiting Just Fabulous.

Just Fabulous is such a great card and gift shop. Many items to choose from. You are sure to find gifts for friends and yourself. Cards for all occasions, assortment of ornaments for all tastes, and so much more. Left with perfect gifts for a friend. Will definately be back to shop their Wizard of Oz Christmas section. Just Fabulous is just that, FABULOUS!

If you’re pretty or a tourist, they’ll love you here. If you’re local and not pretty, they will ignore you. The club kids working the counter worry more about their hair and the music playing in the store than taking care of customers. Merchandise is «fabulous», meaning overpriced designer crap, coffee-​table books of either porn or mid-​century-​modern architecture (pick one niche and stick to it, OK?) and be prepared to take a pretty person with you in case you have any questions, because they only speak to attractive customers. This place gives us homos a bad name.

Very sad Just Fabulous does not pay their publishers! The only thing fabulous about Just Fabulous is how they steal.

Maybe they read Unilocal reviews, maybe it’s just coincidence… but the music has been much better the past few times I’ve been in there. Makes shopping much more pleasant.

Just Fabulous has the most amazing merchandise! It was perfect for Holidays! Anything you need that’s fabulous and fun will be there!

My favorite thing about Just Fabulous is all the beautiful books! Yes, they have great cards, gifts and candles that are all beautifully merchandised but if you want Assouline, Taschen or other big name imprints this is the place for you. Yes, they have the ubiquitous artsy naked books but also a strongly curated selection of other themes (architecture, Palm Srpings, home décor)that make perfect gifts.

It’s after lunch in our «how to ninja the Palm Springs art district in one afternoon,» when my mother announces we’re going to pop in to «Just FABULOUS!»
Leading me to immediately think: oh gosh… this is when her snowbirding in California finally gets to her. She’s going to start wearing sequins & sun visors, she’ll die her hair very unnatural shades of blonde… there’s a good chance a fake tan and a chihuahua are in our future. Four months! Four months in the desert and she’s kicking the sensible heels and golden retrievers to the curb for fluffy drinks and cabana boys. All of which she will refer to forever more as: «FABULOUS!»
This is what’s going through my head as we sashay down the block towards the store.

Dear Palm Springs: Let me take this quick second to apologize for being a judgmental ninny and pigeon holing you into a Legally Blonde meets CSI Miami theme, based on one simple word. You got me. Well played PS.
Because Just Fabulous? Is the COOLEST bookstore in Palm Springs — guaranteed.
If you’re looking for fiction, it won’t be your go-​to but if you live in Palm Springs and ever need to buy a gift for someone? One stop shop. They have the most exquisite collection of coffee table books — from arts & culture to self help, travel, food & fashion.
The store is neatly laid out and the staff are quick to say hello.
If you have kids (or like in my case, are the BEST evil auntie ever), they currently have a pop-​up «build your own wonderland» version of Alice & Wonderland and a «Dancing Monster» kit that comes with monster feet that excitable little folks can dress up with. Some of the coolest kids books i’ve seen in a LONG while.
While you’re popping around, they have other doodads here and there — some art, some porcelain, tiki mugs… you know, the usual.
All in all, it’s a rad spot, with impeccable taste and decent prices.
It’s (dare I say it) fabulous!

This shop has so many things to browse through and look through. Great for buying gifts or coffee table books — and so much more.

So crazy about this darling spot. I could spend an entire day browsing around. Unique gifts, hard to find books. I love all of the hard to find, large luxury fashion books they sell here. They are gorgeous. They have nearly every volume you could be looking for.
Architecture and design books galore. Fantastic candles too! This place is filled with all sorts of whimsical cards, kitsch, and tchotchkes for your gift giving delight.

This is a must stop destination store. They have items that I have never seem in any other stores. They are the only store in the USA outside of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC that was chosen to carry the Museum’s line of items from the MOMA gift shop. Just Fabulous prices are very fair and the sales people are helpful and charming, but never aggressive or on top of you while you are shopping. It’s always
a positive fun shopping experience.

Whenever I need a card or some little gift for a friend, the first place I run is Just Fabulous, as it usually carries just what I’m looking for. Hands-​down, this is the best place to buy a card in the entire desert, for any occasion. Gift-​buying really depends on the person who is receiving: they have plenty of art books, architecture books, Hollywood Icons books, little kitschy things for the home, tons of beautifully crafted and great-​smelling candles, and usually very dancey party music playing over the speakers, available for sale as well. The guys at the counter are always in a good mood and ready to assist you. There are frequently book signings at the storefront. It really is a lovely addition to Palm Springs proper!

I think Ina Garten would be proud of the name. «Just Fabulous.&
