Great job on the dogs! A new way to enjoy chips and hotdogs. My girls enjoyed the food and the experience. We just stumbled on it and it payed off. Small place for big appetites. Enjoy!

Every time I come back here, the food is even better and the selection is even bigger. They just added homemade pretzels and homemade donuts to their menu. At this point, I’m just trying to get a job here so I can have instant access to their food, haha

Snapdog($ 6.95) was overcooked, too skinny, and very bland tasting. Sauerkraut lacked vinegar, and consisted of tasteless clumps, rather than the traditional pungent thin strands, and the maille mustard was all grainy spice and no mustard. Not good and substantially overpriced. I certainly would not call this establishment«gourmet» in any sense of that word. Wienerschnitzel has better hotdogs at ½ the price. Service was fine and they do have good pretzels.

The place is small, so very little seating, and that which there is is uncomfortable. Do not try the«vegan». It was terrible. The chili dog was ok. The buns are the best part — they’re delicious. Their version of french fries are interesting, but were very over-salted. The menu on the board is very confusing and disorganized. If you go here check out the menu online and decide ahead of time what you want.

Really? Are those reviews are all written by the customors? I would’ve give half star or no star at all if I could. I can’t believe the rates are so good and it seriously made me wonder if all workers wrote the reviews. I use the Unilocal A LOT but never wrote the review before. But this time, it feels like I must write one for the future Unilocalers. You would never want to pay about $ 10 on a hot dog which is the worst ever. You will get a long sausage, which is not special at all, and about 6in baguette for $ 7. And if you want to add something more on your hot dog, of course you have to pay more. Also, tornado potato is extremely salty. It is too salty that my lips got swallon. And lastly, are you kidding? Waffle and chicken on a stick or something? Can’t even remember the name bur the those are just two nasty sausage with waffle bread coat on it. I thought those would be like a chicken strip but it was just the worst, nasty and disgusting sausages I ever tasted in my whole life. It was waste of my money, time and I feel so sorry for my tongue and stomach. I personally can’t agree with all the good reviews here. Costco’s $ 1.50 hot dog is much much much, uncomparablly better than this hot dog. I am so mad at myself that I spend money here.

Love this place! Was in Palm Springs for the weekend with the gang and stumbled upon this gem. So glad we did! Place is small but super cute. Not big enough for a crowd of nine, so we took ours to go. We’ve got a couple of gluten free peeps in our bunch and they were super accommodating. Each order was bagged separately with what’s inside to avoid confusion. They had all the fixins you could want. The taters on a stick are fabulous and fun to talk about(how do they do that?). I had the jalapeño dog and it’s got a nice kick. They talk about the«snap» a lot — I was too focused on the taste to worry about the sound. The bread is fresh and delightful. Maybe you’ll get lucky like me and have the owner take your order, he’s as yummy as the dogs! Definitely stop by for lunch and make sure you take a close look at the wallpaper.

I live in the neighborhood so I thought I’d give this place a try it’s great. I had their special which what is a chili dog with cheese and I was awesome what a gray hot dog. I lived in LA for years and the only chili dog would eat would be from Pink’s. Their chili dog is almost better than Pink’s or at least on par with them I would recommend this place to any hot dog lover I’ll be back for sure.

What a fun place! Everything is made on premise — so the hot dogs, sausages, etc are all fresh and delicious. Aside from the dogs, this place makes a great German potato salad and has the best craft beverage selection around(incl non-alcoholic). I’d love to see an authentic kosher dog on the menu, but everything else seems really great. This is a super casual take out place with a few high top seats. Takes cards, fun décor, average topping bar for the dogs. Excellent mustard selection.

This place is killer for gourmet sausages. Hot dogs. Cool wallpaper on the walls. Major variety beverages and beers. Super clean place. Amazing views from the patio. New place worth giving a try!

If your in the mood for top shelf, as good as it gets, sausages and franks, then this is your spot. Had the kielbasa and loved it! Reminded me of the East Coast. Perfectly cooked, with tons of flavor. I loved the fresh, french bread like bun too. And it’s a cool place too. There were four outside tables and some seats inside too. Check out the fridge for some high quality micro-brews or just grab an old fashioned glass bottle Coke for the total experience. If you opt for the fried onions and/or peppers, an extra side and some beverages; expect a tab of about $ 10-$ 12 a person. Thought the girl in the front was cool and just dug the whole vibe of the place. Keep your eyes peeled if your driving, looking for it, on your left. I loved it and the wife and I will definitely be frequenting this terrific find.

Went here Friday for a quick dinner. Cute place & very clean. Wall paper is very retro & welcoming. Place was packed. Had the snap dog & it was tasty. Not heavy at all, & just the right amount to fill you up, but not too much where you’re like uhhhh why’d I do that. My friend had the Italian dog, I had a bite & it was tasty too. Nothing orgasmic, but still good wieners :) I see other reviews saying they’re too expensive for a hotdog… I disagree. They aren’t Costco people– don’t expect to pay $ 1.25 everywhere! I’ll def go back & recommend it.

Got a recommendation from a coworker on this place, decided to check it out. Small place with about 5 seats inside and 4 tables outside. Had a 15 percent discount thanks to Unilocal. I ordered the Italian sausage dog. The quality was great. The bread was fresh and I enjoyed it. They had bottled cokes to drink and a few beers. One drawback, it was very expensive for what you get.

$ 17 for a hot dog some chips and an apple juice. Which would be fine if the hot dog was unique. They have a good selection of craft beer and sodas. The cheap trellis and bamboo could have been left out. This place is next to a very smelly cigar store and parking is only street front. Not sure if I would be back.

I love hot dogs but the basic hot dog at $ 6.95 plus $.75 for grilled onions was a little steep. The roll was fresh but was too much bread for the dog. The hot dog was natural casing with a snap but too thick for my taste. A little chewy. I am sad that it wasn’t great since I was looking forward to a great hot dog. You can buy Kobe beef dogs from Jensons or sabretts from gelsons and have better hot dog.

I had lunch there Tuesday. The store is easy to find with street parking right in front. Open kitchen, super clean. Counter girl was really friendly and knowledgeable and ordering was quick. Food came up quickly. The snap dog($ 6.95) with the works was amazing! Great bite to the dog, nice fresh bun and awesome kraut. The side salad is a true German style potato salad with lots of vinegar. Pricing was fine, all in for $ 13.95 with my fancy soda. The only downside is the seating isn’t great. 4 stools inside, a couple, her purse(!!) and a single. When she left I thanked her for using the chair for her purse and she said«Oh well, there is plenty of seating now.» I would have sat outside but with 88′ degree temps today the single metal table and 2 chairs with no umbrella was not an option. Please get more seating and a patio umbrella to go with the awesome dogs! UPDATE: Drove by today(Wednesday) and there is way more seating and umbrellas on the patio… Thanks for the quick reaction. Now everybody Go and enjoy the dogs!

I love Frankinbun! I have been back 3 times since they opened. The ambience is cool, chic and a bit retro. The wallpaper is fabulous, lots of little Frankinbuns in various activities and the food is simply perfect. Just what Palm Springs needs a hip local place. Where to start. you will get the most delicious hot dog you’ve ever had. Many to choose from by the way. Great snap and full of delicious flavors and the live sauerkraut is a must! I have ordered something new each time and think oh this is «my favorite» … there are many more choices on the menu to get through… The jalapeño hot link was amazing, loved the Portuguese Hawaiian, and the chicken and waffle on a stick was a dream. This is a very cool place they offer a incredible selection of beverages. Yes, you can enjoy a great glass of wine or a cold beer or soda and have the best hot dog in the valley, not to mention everyone is very nice you just want to hang out for awhile.

$ 9 for a hot dog with grilled onions should be orgasmic. It wasn’t. Excellent dog, bun is a baguette, grilled onions were barely grilled. They don’t have a chili option. Lunch for two was $ 38.50. I’m all about value. I don’t mind paying if it’s worth it. I’ll pay for grilled onions, but they weren’t grilled. I’m guessing they were on the flat top for a few minutes. Charging for Katsup is ridiculous. The Oinkster in Eagle Rock makes all their condiments homemade, but doesn’t charge. No regular sodas. Only expensive unique choices, which is okay if you have a choice but regular soda isn’t offered. When I asked, she said they had some on order. If it were me, I’d go get some at Smart and Final, and not make my customers wait for a shipment. Only one register. 10 minute wait to order and another 10 minute wait for my food. I suggest you order a braut, or sausage. I ordered the hotdog because that is the baseline. If there was more value I would go back, but alas, to me, it’s not worth it.
