I’ve had this place bookmarked for a while, and the first time I finally get in here, I was so hungry that I ordered lunch. I know people, Lunch?! ! By the time I finished everything up, I was too full to think about ordering dessert or even consider taking something home. I had a Ham & Brie Baguette sandwich which was good, it didn’t have the wow factor, but was a good coffee shop/bakery type sandwich. It came with coleslaw which was sweet(FYI) for anyone wondering, I know that’s important info for some;-), and I also ordered the Cream of Asparagus soup. I was not crazy about the soup, it was very thin. I was expecting more creamy, and it lacked some flavor for my tastebuds. I would come again for lunch though. It was a full house that day so I know there are other items worth trying. The Quiche looked amazing. Plus, they make their own breads here which is awesome. I would like to try a Croissant sandwich of some sort because my mom thoroughly enjoyed hers. Next Visit– Now for the desserts. I ordered a Rum Almond Croissant. This thing was dense! Moist, with thick almond paste in the middle which I loved. Worth killing the diet for. One of my favorites things ever is an Almond Croissant, and it did not disappoint. Also tried the Tiramisu. 2 words, Creamy & Delicious This place is loved by the locals and I can see why. I seen a few regulars coming in for their already placed to go pick up boxes filled with their favorite baked sweets. Good sign. There was a steady flow of regulars coming in for desserts, coffee and small talk. I love seeing that. Staff is friendly. Oh, almost forgot. For the coffee lovers. They have coffee as mentioned, but more importantly, they also serve cappuccinos and lattes.

Very good cupcakes. The frosting is lite and the cake is moist. I had the mocha frosted and my daughter had the chocolate frosting chocolate cupcake. Not too sweet, just right. A great afternoon snack!

Turkey with walnut cream cheese and cranberries on a croissant. Delicious! Cole slaw was good. The other five people in my party liked their soup and sandwiches too. I’ll be back!

Ham and brie was great, soup is amazing as is the cole slaw. We had to get our treats to go, we were too full for dessert.

I love Sweet Caroline’s. I have been eating their delicious treats since before they had a store front. They have some of the best treats in the Tampa Bay area. This is more than just sweet shop. The had breads, soups, quiche, sandwiches and pot pies to go. But take the time to sit and relax in the café and enjoy a quiet moment with a yummy treat. Hubby loves their croissants and I love their chocolate cigars. This place is family run and you can feel the love and happiness with all of their employees. Do yourself a favor and stop by this gem.

Delicious pastries and lattes, yummy soups and sandwiches, and excellent service. My family and I love coming here to eat whenever we’re in the Palm Harbor area and we always get a box of pastries to bring home with us too! If you need a custom cake this is the place to get it, plus they are excellent at accommodating people with gluten and lactose sensitivities.

Get ready to feel like a kid in a candy store. Everything looks soooo good! The bread pudding is AWESOME. Love the tiramisu as well. Everything is fresh and you can feel the love in the work. The Rye bread with a hint of sauerkraut is amazing and doesn’t last very long in my house. Did I mention the variety of items? There’s something here for everyone. Great staff too!

I was looking for a local Bakery to create a beautiful & delicious cake for my Daughter’s First Communion. Of course, I went straight to the Unilocal reviews & decided to meet with the owner to discuss my design preferences. The owner, Rich, was the nicest guy & his prices are very reasonable. I decided to go for it based on that meeting. The biggest test was still to come but I had faith in this little shop on the corner. When it came time to pick up our order, we were not disappointed. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous but the flavor was out of this world! Their Swiss butter cream was perfection. People are still talking about the cake, both the design as well as flavor, & it’s been a week. I was a little nervous giving such an important life event cake to a bakery I had never ordered from before but my fears quickly turned to joy with the first bite. Bravo, Sweet Carolines! We will absolutely be back for more cake orders in the future & we look forward to trying some of your café fare. Give this place a try, fellow Unilocalers, you will not be disappointed.

Since Sweet Carolines opened several years ago we have been steady customers. We always stop by for hot out of the oven perfect croissants — around 10 am if you want them warm! ;). Custom birthday cakes including an amazing Dali inspired 16th birthday cake for my daughter! The salted caramel brownies are incredible! We love the chocolate Babka and Challah bread too. The lunch menu is fresh sandwiches with a fun flair and home made soups — I love this bakery — I have to exhibit self control or I would be eating croissants every day! PS — they serve Kawah coffee!

Most of the items I have tried are good, but I find for my taste that there are some hits and some misses. I would recommend the Walnut Bundenusse(funny name but delicious) Chocolate Decadence cookie, chicken pot pies and the sausage fennel soup. Overall a really nice little bakery.

No doubt the pastries and other baked goods are good, but the prices are ridiculous. I love their products and would love to frequent them, but quite frankly, I just can’t afford it!

Exceptional service and attention. This has given us a new reason to take a morning walk in that direction. Ordered breakfast sandwiches and cappuccinos… delicious:)

Sweet Caroline’s has got to be one of the best bakeries in Florida. This place is the bomb. So far I’ve had their blueberry and apple strudel, sweet and salty caramel brownie(it tastes like pure brownie batter) cookies and their famous key lime tart. Everything is amazing. Next I want to try their gourmet sandwiches and soups. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow

Well, gosh. I am so torn about this place. It’s really cute & the food is fantastic. I got the turkey reuben which was the perfect size(not heaping and messy and dripping all over the place) and insanely delicious. The bread was so soft and yummy, it seemed like it had just come out of the oven… and maybe that’s what the hold-up was, because it seriously took(no exaggeration) about 45 minutes for our three little sandwiches to come out. One of which was a peanut butter & jelly for my 3 year old. I don’t know about you, but I can whip up a PB&J in about 28 seconds flat so… there’s that. Apparently there was a whole board of specials, including a watermelon gazpacho that I would have LOVED to have tried… Except that our waitress never mentioned them, or even pointed in the direction of the board so we could read them ourselves. In fact, I’m not sure she ever even said a word to us, just stood at the side of the table and waited for us to tell her what we wanted. And she definitely didn’t smile, thank us or offer a refill on my ice tea. So, that’s the ugly. But the good was pretty great, which is why I am giving Sweet Caroline’s 3 stars. Our sandwiches were really, really good, the cole slaw they are served with is fantastic & the pastries we took to go were outstanding as well(sea salt caramel brownie, key lime tart, vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream). So definitely try this place for the scrumptious sandwiches & heavenly baked goods but don’t expect service with a smile.

Wonderful bakery, everything we’ve tried has been off-the-charts delicious! Their frozen chicken pot pie turnovers are our favorite ~ just pop them in the oven and you’ve got a convenient flaky gourmet meal on hand. Also love the blueberry strudel, their large breads, and take-out soups. We try something different every time. Reasonable prices, healthy options, and vast selection to choose from. My only wish is that they’d consider staying open until 7 pm during the week, we can rarely catch them open on the way home from work & if we do happen to make it in right before 6 pm closing, the selection is somewhat diminished. While Florida was once mostly retirees, us working folks like to get out after work, only to find that many places still close so early!

I am so glad we finally have an incredible bakery in the Lake St. George Area! The eclairs and blueberry pie are to die for! And I’ve never had such moist delicious Rye bread!

The pastries are good… but very expensive. We had lunch at the new café… again, good but way overpriced! We spent $ 45.00 for two small sandwiches, two cups of soup, two drinks and two small pastries! I want to also make note of the young woman that never smiles and doesn’t make you feel welcome

I came to this bakery at the suggestion of Jessica S.(thanks!) and it was a great choice. I purchased a French éclair & a cannoli during my visit, and ate them right inside of the bakery(which is also a café as well). Prices were a little bit on the higher side, but if their goods are made from scratch than I’d say the cost is worth it. Between my two desserts, I’d have to say the French éclair was better for me than the cannoli. They both looked photo-worthy, but the taste of the cannoli was not my favorite rendition. The café itself is quaint and nicely decorated. It is easy to find a table, and any utensils or napkins you might need are easy to get to as well. Most of the clientele who came through during my visit were of the older population, and sometimes stood around to chitchat with eachother(which I’m not condemning, just not a fan of loitering), so next time I will probably get my sweets to go. They had quite a selection of huge cupcakes to choose from, so I will definitely be back for one of those.

Fantastic Baked goods. The strudels are nice and crispy. Pie crusts are great. Delish chocolate babka! The café portion has some of the best soups I’ve ever had. The sausage and fennel soup is a must try!
