Great, friendly atmosphere. We went on a Thursday afternoon so we were seen right away, with no appointment.
The only reason I’m giving this place three stars is because of the price. I went with my friend, she got a conditioning treatment and haircut –which ended up actually just being a trim– which totaled to $ 65 JUST for her. My simple men’s haircut came out to $ 25, which gave us a grand total of $ 90, not even including our tips. We did enjoy this place, however it is too expensive for our taste. I do not believe our average haircuts should total out to $ 65+.

I just stopped in the other day for a haircut and everything was cool, but Rosie was what made the experience really great. She chatted with me about vacation places and her family, all while giving me a really great haircut. It’s hard to cut someone’s hair for the first time (I was visiting mom, I’m from Seattle) and she gave me a great haircut. I also mentioned that I was going to try and trim my own beard when I got home and she was having none of it… she trimmed it up for me and ended it all off with a relaxing shampoo/​scalp massage. She did it all. Thanks for being so great at what you do Rosie!

I have had very positive experiences with this Salon. Both myself and my daughter. I received everything from a straightening treatment, a precision haircut, and hair coloring. Never a complaint.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Michael, Rene and Rosie are my favorites! They have great hours to get you in and feel like a million bucks when you walk out. This place cares about their customers.

This a great salon, not sure who these people see. I see Chantel and she has never given me any bad color or cut.
Which some of these reviews seem weird because if you want something and they don’t think it is going to work they tell you. Before doing it.
It is like somebody caring in a photo of Meg Ryan and wanting that cut and they have thick black wavy hair. They will tell you that isn’t going to turn out in your favor.
That is probably why I bet the owner wouldn’t give the money back. I can’t say for sure but I bet I am right on this one!
Just walk in and look around if you have any doubts!

Michael is fantastic! He colored my roots, put in highlights and blew out my very long hair and I could not be happier. The price was awesome and the service was perfect. Five stars all day.

I live in Dunedin and have friends/​relatives that go to Salon Red. I had a gift certificate and thought i’d drive over and give them a try. Most people know a decent salon is hard to come by and one with great customer service is even harder to come by. i really felt like my business was important to them-​i was warmly greeted and thanked going in and going out-​very personable people –i was very very impressed! I had Michael for a stylist who is fabulous-​i wasn’t 100% sure what i wanted but i didn’t want to go too short either-​he offered helpful ideas without being pushy and he listened and took his time with the cut which i ended up ecstatic about-​my friends & relatives were right-he’s the «go to guy» for hair! Definitely going back!

This is the only place I trust with my hair. These are really good stylists without all the pomp and circumstance of stuffy salons or grossness of chain salons (and it’s definitely not like those awful places with cutesy names.) They aren’t product pushers, they are consistently good and are moderately priced (I would say cheap for the quality of their cuts.) I’ve been going here for years so a couple of stylists I’ve used have left for one reason or another (moved out of state, one left to make art) and yet I’ve never been disappointed. The stylists here are all very good. I go to Nick. He’s fantastic. Seriously, if you’re looking for a salon, go here.
