I’ll put the baggage on the table before the review. First, I call to schedule a bang trim with Donna who I’ve been going to for awhile and loved — only to find out she is no longer there. Disappointed but life happens. I schedule with another stylist Tea(I think that’s the spelling). An hour before my scheduled time, I get a vmail that she had a no show for color and cut and had no choice but to do something … that oddly sounded like booked over my appointment and HAD to move me to 2 hours later?! Had lunch plans that needed to be shuffled … but, again life happens. As I sat down, I said was looking for a quick trim up and maybe a little cut around the ears since I have an appt for a cut and color in 3 wks. She looked horrified … then says, I thought this was just a bang trim? But wait for it — then said let’s get it washed? I had already showered and styled my hair and it was(what I thought) looking good. So I said whoa … just looking for a little trim, and I’m done. Long /short, she completely wet my hair and ruined my style and before I knew it — was using a blade(which I don’t care for since I had a bad experience in the past). I mentioned to her that I’m not comfortable with a razor when she goes on to tell me how it’s what I needed due to my hair line and without mentioning it specifically — seemed to say the cut I had wasn’t appropriate. Silly me — I loved it! I thought this was in poor taste coming from a co-worker(former or not) After finishing the ‘trim’, she ran a blow dryer over for a minute or two and was getting ready for take the cape off when I asked to slow down and revisit what was supposed to happen … bang trim only! Now I have what appears to be a somewhat decent trim but the hair is not nicely blown out and ready to go as it was when I walked in and I have a party tonight. I asked if I could get it blown out since I wasn’t up for redoing it again myself. If looks could kill … she refastened the cape and continued. She said she was trying to go above and beyond to fix the problems with my hair and not just do a cursory(my word, not hers) once over. She didn’t charge me which I thought was appropriate and appreciated the gesture. I’m a bit concerned that no one has called me to tell me what was going to happen with my scheduled cut and color without me asking to have someone contact me(which I did before I left) If I didn’t call for the bang trim, I wouldn’t have been happy walking in and meeting someone I had never met and having them color my hair. I like to get comfortable with a stylist first(trim/cut first)

Great service and staff. I have been following Johnessa, the owner, from place to place because nobody can do nails and facials like she does. She now has her own place with Rehab and it is perfect. Don’t be fooled by the exterior, the place is beautiful inside and the staff wonderful. My nails and skin look amazing, as they do every time I go to Johnessa.
